Gowanus Dredgers Canoe Club
The only copyright on this page asserted was that of the photos. This is a public domain site. Also, there has been a hyperlink to the Gowanus Dredgers Canoe Club for years. Now if you are insisting on original work alone, that is a different case, but describing it as a blatant infringement was a little over exuberant. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Elgringograndelatte (talk • contribs) 22:56, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

Leaderboy
I posted Leaderboy on wikipedia.
I am leaderboy, i make electronic music and people want to hear it. I thought it would be helpful to have Leaderboy listed on here. Myspace is my official website and an official remix i have done has been blogged on Hype machine. these were reliable references. The subject matter was short and factual. How else do i list myself as an electronic music artist on here?

- Before creating an article, please search Wikipedia first to make sure that an article does not already exist on the subject. Please also review a few of our relevant policies and guidelines with which all articles should comply. As Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, articles must not contain original research, must be written from a neutral point of view, should cite reliable sources which verify their content and must not contain unsourced, negative content about living people.
- Articles must also demonstrate the notability of the subject. Please see our subject specific guidelines for people, bands and musicians, companies and organizations and web content and note that if you are closely associated with the subject, our conflict of interest guideline strongly recommends against you creating the article.
- If you still think an article is appropriate, see Help:Starting a new page. You might also look at Wikipedia:Your first article and Wikipedia:How to write a great article for guidance, and please consider taking a tour through the Wikipedia:Tutorial so that you know how to properly format the article before creation. I am requesting an overturn to this deletion
- This gastroenterologist is widely known throughout the US. She is a published author, whose books have been the NY Times best seller list in multiple years, having sold more than 20K copies in a year (the chief requirement to get on the best-seller list).
- The article provides numerous citations from renown medical journals academic publications.
- The subject is clearly notable. I mean, there is no gray area here. She has been cited by many other Wikipedia authors, all of whom are independent of the subject.
- Furthermore, on the second AfD debate, the writer made every attempt to follow the editorial consensus is revising/wikifying the article, and it was still deleted.

Surf in Pichilemu
Hi. We just notice that our today's start up page "Surf in Pichilemu", was remove. We are Pichilemu.com the official surf tourism from Pichilemu town, a non-profit organization which helps to conserve the natural environments and cultural resources in the Pichilemu area.
Please advice the reasons why you are assuming that we are "advertising" or we are providing content with non sense.

Dear Tnxman307,
I'd like to request that the VSI page be published and the deletion overturned. I had accidentally published without citations, but have them and am adding them now. This is based off of an article from a trade magazine (DC Metro M.D. News, March/April 2008 edition.) I can email you a copy of the article, if it helps. Everything contained in the post is factual, and cited in the article I have.
Thank you,
Myerspublicrelations (talk) 03:10, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
- Well, judging by your username, it appears that you have a conflict of interest regarding this subject (as it seems that they are clients of yours). If that is the case, you are strongly discouraged from creating an article about the VSI. Please read our info on writing your first article, as well as our info on what makes a company notable enough to have a Wikipedia page. TNXMan 03:15, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

Tnxman307
It is true that I work for a PR firm, thus the login, however, this company does fit the criteria for publication on wikipedia according to the rules established in the likes you gave me, which I read prior to publication. The source I am using is an independant secondary source, a respected trade magazine which chose to write an article about VSI based on their unique presence in the medical industry. Does wikipedia ban those in the public relations industry from posting? Should you not instead look at the individual merit of the subject matter? VSI falls clearly in the range of a valid subject based on everything I have read. Please advise how I can find my deleted article and add its sources.
Myerspublicrelations (talk) 03:28, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
- Tnx, you might want to add the template message I have on the top of my talk page if you're going to do this much CSD work ;-) Tan | 39 03:30, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
- (@ Tan) I thought the message I have would work, but maybe I need to tweak it some. I've found that the quickest way to get a boatload of messages is to work through CAT:SD. That'll teach me!
- (@ Myers) Your account is currently blocked, however, I'll go ahead and reply in case you read this. The page you created listed a two sentence description of the company and a list of the employees and their field of expertise. There was no indication of what made the company notable. While Wikipedia does not ban people in the PR field from posting, it recognizes that there is a conflict of interest that exists, which would make it difficult for PR people to write neutrally about a subject. If you would like, when you have been unblocked or registered a new account, I can put the page you created into a sandbox in your userspace where you can work on improving it before moving it to the mainspace. Appogy deletion
No explanation on why you decided to delete a work in progress. besides G11. Unambiguous advertising or promotion. which could be stated for any company listed on wikipedia including wikipedia because that is what it is. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.131.177.81 (talk) 16:41, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
- Unless Tnxman is prescient, he's not going to know what the heck you're talking about. What article? Who are you? This is your first edit from this IP. Also, you might want to give poor Sinebot a break and sign your posts. Tan | 39 16:44, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
Well if you can't read the topic for the article is Appogy deletion. And I am a first time user trying to help build wikipedia, why are you so negative? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.131.177.81 (talk) 16:46, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
Everybody is so very quick to delete on wikipedia and seemingly nobody wants to help, how much content should an article have before its posted? I have seen wikipedia entries with less then two lines. And its hard to not self promote when its an article regarding a company. Is that not strange?
- Can you tell us how your company meets the notability requirements set forth in WP:CORP? If you can, I'm sure we can get an article created. Also, again, please sign your talk page posts using four tildes, per WP:SIG. Thanks! Tan | 39 17:02, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
Now you are changing the subject, which makes it confusing. There is no reference as to where to obtain/find creditably secondary sources, only very generalized guild lines. Secondary sources seem to be a matter of opinion more then fact. This is a new company with a launch date of later next month, How many secondary sources do you need to have? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.131.177.81 (talk) 17:10, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
- If you are referring to Appogy, the page was deleted because it was blatant advertising. I would encourage you to read our info on writing your first article, as well as our info on writing neutrally. As Tan mentioned, you should also read our info on what makes a company notable enough for a Wikipedia article. Finally, all Wikipedia articles must be sourced using independent reliable sources. TNXMan 03:05, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
Considering the topic of discussion is Appogy deletion and it is also referenced in the discussion as well... Can you not be anymore specific or do you have to just stick to switching very generalized points? You talk of creditability and references, but there are no examples in anything referenced that tells you what a reliable or creditable source is or how many are required. The tag was put that the article was still under construction and you delete it anyways, furthermore there was no mention of cost, fees, or links that would directly benefit the company. Its very disappointing that you have to be a wikipedia expert to get an article posted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.131.177.81 (talk) 10:42, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
- I've provided you with a link to Wikipedia's definition of a reliable source, however, if you missed it, here is the link again. The Appogy article made no mention of what made the company notable, it simply listed the launch date, a description of the services and software provided, and a link to your Aboutus page. We have plenty of resources to help you write an article, again, I point you to this page. If you would like to request that someone else write an article for you, check out this page. I can't guarantee a response, however, as everyone here is a volunteer. TNXMan 11:49, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
Aboutus.org is a different site then Appogy, com if you would have bothered to pay any attention. It is in no way affiliated with Appogy however Appogy is listed on their website. Hmm. That sounds like a source to me. If you would bother to do any research you would have realize the two are not the same, you could even do a whois on the domains. And Once again the article was under construction (And it was even noted so), in no means was it completed. But within four hours of posting it was deleted. I am so sorry that I am trying to help. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.131.176.65 (talk) 22:27, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
- I never said that the two sites were the same (or even related). My point was that Aboutus is not a reliable source. TNXMan 22:37, 31 August 2009 (UTC)

The significance of Article on Bro Manuel
Hello Tnxman307,
The purpose of this talk is to explain the significance of the article on Bro Manuel Mergulhao (Now deleted: See http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Bro_Manuel_Mergulhao)
We live in Mumbai, India. The city has 13,662,885 people. Close to 40% of these people live in abject poverty. Through its affiliate, Rhema Trust, one of the few government-recognized, not-for-profit organisations in this city, Bro Manuel Ministries organizes free medical camps for the downtrodden, cares for orphans and the aged.
However, many do not know about the organization. I have lived in this city all my life and never heard of Bro Manuel until last year. And he has renewed my life and the lives of many others through his work and teachings--he urges people to stop sinning and rely on God. His ministry has prayer services 24/7. Prayer/help lines are also open at all hours.
The ministry organizes free retreats every month (these are attended by people from all parts of India and abroad), and outreach programs in Thane, a satellite city of Mumbai, and Dubai. In many ways, what Bro Manuel does is similar to what Benny Hinn, Joel Osteen and the others are doing, albiet on a smaller scale. He has daily television programs that are broadcast across the world (on MiracleNet & CVO). He also several books to his credit
The first thing I did as soon as I heard of Bro. Manuel was look him up on Wikipedia. I didn't find anything on him.
The idea to create a page on Wikipedia was not to promote him, but to simply tell others like myself who are possibly looking for info on him, what he is all about.
Help is easy to find when those who need it know where to look.
Having said that, I offer my article to you for edit...please delete anything that's even remotely promotional. If you are not convinced bout its significance, then we'll let it rest.
Thanks for your time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ecstatic kevin (talk • contribs) 09:39, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but the article did not indicate why the ministry was notable and was also very promotional. Please read our info on writing your first article, as well as writing neutrally. Deleting article on RNB artist Ifeanyichukwu Samuel "legacy" Moweta
Hello Tnxman307 my article I created for the RnB artist "legacy" has been deleted due to unambiguous advertising or promotion. I am sorry that you feel I have done violations on your website. I reviewed the policies your website has and I do not know how my mentioning of an Up and coming RNB singer would fall under advertising? I have stated what this young man has done. I am not saying you can "BUY" his music here or he will be "SELLING" his music here. This is an artist who has been performing across 30 states in the US. If you would like to help me make revisions to the parts you feel are "promotional" or "unambigous advertising" I am willing to learn. Thank you for your time. Assocation Media & Publishing page deletion
Hi,
Can you please tell me why this page was deleted?http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Association_Media_&_Publishing
How am I promoting something? Also, the press release which is cited as copyright infringment is our press release. Can you please tell me how to avoid this page being deleted again?
Thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.161.174.245 (talk) 13:00, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
- The page was deleted because it was promoting your company. Unsourced statements such as "Leads innovative approaches in community building, as shown by our use of social media, webinars and in-person learning opportunities" have no place in a neutrally written encyclopedia. I would encourage you to read our info on writing your first article and what makes a company notable enough to have a Wikipedia article. Finally, Wikipedia cannot accept copy/pasted materials unless it has explicit permission to do so. This page has more info on releasing material to Wikipedia. TNXMan 13:06, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

Howdy, I saw that you SD'ed this article. As I'm sure you saw on the talk page, I also questioned its notability. However, the page had already been tagged for SD and the SD was contested and subsequently removed. Additionally, to the best of my recollection the text was not G11 text. If the page had a problem it was notability. As such I would request that you restore the page and if you'd like you can put it up for prod or AfD. Joe407 (talk) 15:17, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but I can't see a reason to restore the article to the mainspace. It was promotional and had no indication of notability/importance. However, I have no objection to userfying the content, either to your userspace or the author's so it can be improved. Best, TNXMan 15:46, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
Mesothelioma
Tnxman307:
I am reverting your deletion of the link to the CureMeso.org website from mesothelioma. This site is a non-proft, patient-focused resource that is completely independent of any legal agency. The educational site belongs in the list alongside the other 10 external links as a repository of mesothelioma research, info about clinical trials, and instructions for disease/patient advocacy. There is nothing advertorial about it. Please reconsider your swift deletions attributed to what you call an "advert link." Johnnygoat00 (talk) 12:50, 31 August 2009 (UTC) Johnnygoat00 (talk) 12:45, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
- And I have removed it again, as it is not an appropriate link. Wikipedia is not a linkfarm and does not (and should not) link to every organization and non-profit group that exists. Please read our info on external links and gain consensus on the talk page of the article before re-adding the link. TNXMan 13:24, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
Tnxman307: I appreciate your response about Wikipedia not being a linkfarm (with which I agree), but I would appreciate even more an actual explanation for why you deem this link "inappropriate." Certainly, being a nonprofit is not reason enough to merit a link (and I wouldn't expect this), but arguably, being a nonprofit website that happens to contain mesothelioma research, clinical trial info, patient advocacy (non-litigious), and a mesothelioma discussion board are all reasons why the link should be included. This resource is just as legitimate and useful to readers (in an encyclopedic way per Wikipedia standards) as any of the nine .gov links that are already included in the external links. Are nine links exclusively to .gov sites not enough to be considered a link farm, where one link to a independent non-profit suddenly risks the section's bloating into a gluttonous orgy of haphazard linking? Please point me to the page that states there is an exclusive pro-.gov bias in Wikipedia's guidelines for external links.
Furthermore, "gaining consensus on the talk page" before adding this link suggests there is a significant number of people who oppose its inclusion. I see no such collective call for removal. All I see is your shifting labels of "advert link," "cleaning links," and "inappropriate," with an intimation of "link-farming." I cannot see logical explanations for why the link should not be included.
I respect your role as page gatekeeper, but I challenge you to defend your label of "inappropriate" beyond some vague, condescending inference that adding one meritorious non-profit link is equal to starting a link farm. On these new grounds, I am reverting your deletion of the link to the CureMeso.org website from mesothelioma. Johnnygoat00 (talk) 14:39, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
- First of all, I am not the "gatekeeper" for any page on Wikipedia, as no one owns articles. Secondly, the link you are pushing does not provide a unique resource for the article (WP:ELNO, point 1). Just as in any addition of material, the burden of proof lies on you to show why the link should be included. Since the link is disputed, there must be consensus to include it. If you want to dispute any of the other links, you can, but their inclusion has no bearing on this link. I should also warn you that continuing to edit war to include this link is forbidden. I will cease removing the link, but I am going to ask for a third opinion on the matter. TNXMan 15:30, 31 August 2009 (UTC)
Keep an eye on Johnnygoat00 - I reverted 2 edits where they inserted links to a mesothelioma lawyer's video web site. If you look at the edit history its clear this person works for some type of marketing firm and I believe the CureMeso link addition was to test the waters on how easy/difficult it would be to insert a legal link on the page. Deleting article on bonga mogale
Hi,
I find issue on the fact that you deleted an article on Bonga Mogale on the basis that it is about a real person who is not notable. I beg to differ in that this person whom you have dismissed as not notable, is a professional soccer player in South Africa and has his name featured on an article presently available on your site, namely the 2008/2009 South African Premier League transfers. He is a collection of various players who are clearly not acknowledged on the site on the basis that seeing that they are not known worldwide, then that would qualify them as not notable. My argument is this: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia for the world therefore it should appeal and cater for the entire world. As a result, the amount of content added may be excessive however, it would obviously serve different purposes for different people. In South Africa, many soccer players are icons in their communities and have fans who span the lengths and breadths of this country. As a result, their notability far out reaches many more people who may have articles written about them. These fans want to find out more about their icons or players journeys, some in order to learn from their trials and tribulations that they went through, others merely knowing their history and realizing that since a particular player came from an area which they grew up in, they to can reach their goals and live those dreams. I have noticed that no one in South Africa has been given the oppurtunity to submit articles on their heros and herones that are playing football, although there is a minor group of these players that is acknowledged. Although some players may be local, they are also afforded recognition and I feel wikipedia should come to the party, especially considering the background of these players. Soccer is the bread and butter of the South African people and as much as wikipedia may feel that Graeme Smith and co are notable, fans of South African soccer also feel that the likes of Jerry Skhosana, Linda Buthelezi, Sizwe Motaung, Bonga Mogale, Pere Ariweriya, Teko Modise, Benedict 'Tso' Vilakazi, Gift LEremi, etc are not given a simple biography explaining where they came from. If you feel my argument lacks no substance, google these names and see how many direct matches appear. If the person is not notable then google will only provide three matches, which would most probably be social networking sites. However, if they are notable, their names would appear in various places including your encyclopedia... that in itself is notability. Please consider this issue seriously as many South African children struggle to find information on their icons when they search wikipedia and this is the forum where they should be able to find out information about the very people they watch playing the sport that they love. It also applies where soccer fanatics in South Africa go through the updated transfer list which is provided and when clicking on a name, cannot find any information on the player because their biographies have been relegated to the 'not notable' pile. Regards.... Psmog (talk) 16:07, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but the article did not indicate why the subject was notable. Before resubmitting the article, I would encourage you to read our info on writing your first article, writing from a neutral point of view, and supporting your article with independent reliable sources. Finally, you should create the article in a sandbox (something like User:Psmog/Sandbox) so that you can work on in before moving it to the mainspace. TNXMan 16:17, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

You suggested someone write a neutral page on wikipedia for Brett Salisbury. I think the deletion page has a neutral site now that someone changed. If you google Brett Salisbury, he is the author of the Transform Diet. Can you please take a look at it and look that its now very neutral. I just bought his book. Its outstanding. Can you please take him off the deleted section. Perhaps my bot's new homoglyph system is a bit too sensitive.
v=v, 4=a, oj=g, l=i; ri=n, ci=a
I may need to tweak it by removing the oj=g, ri=n, and ci=a. They are not actually used very often. The homoglyph table still needs some adjustments. Chillum 05:19, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
- I agree, that one was a little surreal. :) I think that the homoglyph system is actually working out pretty well. The only one one I don't understand is the oj=g (however, I'm not fluent in Internet), but I'm sure as we use it more, we can work out the kinks. Cheers! TNXMan 13:25, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
A while back you reviewed this submission at AfC, eventually denying it. I don't know if you noticed, but a new user then came along and tried to accept the submission, but did so improperly. I've restored the previous version (from late July) so I was wondering if you'd like to check it out again? - If you do indeed hold the copyright for the material, then you need to follow the instructions on this page. Please remember, however, that all Wikipedia articles must be written from a neutral point of view and cannot promote a company or organization. Furthermore, all articles about organizations must demonstrate why the group is notable (which means something a little different here). TNXMan 11:47, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
The wikipedia article on top nutritonist in the nation Brett Salisbury
How are you. You asked to be more specific about what article that Brett Salisbury was deleted on. It was the wikipedia article Brett Salisbury that seemed slanted or promotional. If you simply go to search box in Brett Salisbury or google his name you will see wikipedia deleted it. Now its been re-written and is a neutral article but is still is the deleted section. (again simple google Brett Salisbury) and you will see the deleted article section. - It appears you are referring to Brett Salisbury. The article was deleted here almost a year ago and has been picked up by Deletionpedia, a wiki that is not associated with Wikipedia. Furthermore, it appears that Google has cached the article from Deletionpedia in its search results. Unfortunately, there is nothing Wikipedia can do about that. To: Tnxman307
Dear Sir,
I created a page for "International Committee for Abrasive Technology (ICAT)" which has been active since 2002. The symposium ISAAT, organized and sponsored by ICAT, has been a successful yearly event unique for researchers worldwide in the ultra/nano precision machining area. Each time, 80-200 researchers from countries and regions around the world, including Japan, Germany, China, UK, USA, Australia, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Russia, Ireland, Singapore, and India, would attend the symposium. The symposium emphasizes on practice techniques to improve precision and efficiency, while also welcomes theoretical examinations of the fabrication processes. Could you restore this page for many of us? Thank you very much.

- I'm sorry, but there are two things of which you need to be aware. First of all, Youtube is very rarely a a reliable source. Secondly, the mere fact that something exists does not warrant inclusion in an encyclopedia. It must be considered notable first. If you can demonstrate notability, then there may be enough for an article. TNXMan 20:49, 21 September 2009 (UTC)

- Hi Chris and Tnxman, I declined an earlier unblock, however I agree that asking another admin would be ok. PhilKnight (talk) 19:30, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
- Just a heads up, when you blocked this account there are two separate flags that need to be looked at. The one you addressed was an autoblock, (block other users and IPs from editing) and the second which goes hand in hand with that block is account creation Prevent account creation you forgot to uncheck that option which prevented the user from creating a new account. βcommand 20:59, 23 September 2009 (UTC)

re: 67.240.69.23
Just a bit ago, I restored a block notice to the user's talk page, citing WP:BLANKING. But, when I re-read that guideline, I realized that I was mistaken - it appears that block notices are not protected - although the {{ISP}} tag that the user removed earlier does appear to be protected by that guideline. As you had a subsequent edit to the user's talk page, I wanted to check with you before I reverted my restoration of the block notice and re-added the ISP tag. --- Barek (talk • contribs) - 16:05, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- No problem. If you'd like to do that, feel free. I disabled the IP's talk page for the duration of the block, as it seemed to me it was being abused. Of course, if you feel that was a step too far, you can undo that part as well. Cheers! TNXMan 17:03, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- I'm not an admin, so no ability to modify blocks. But, I do agree with it - the user's [final threat] made clear that he was abusing the talk page. I'll go ahead and restore the ISP tag per WP:BLANKING while removing the block notice, which the anon had already acknowledged and removed himself. --- Barek (talk • contribs) - 17:09, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
My article is deleted
Hi, my article has been deleted again, also there is nothing promotional inside, just information. Could you please give me some detailed info on what you want me to change? It't the second time that it has been deleted and I made the changes they told me to do (more sources, names without trademark...)also there are articles like the one of Red Bull or Monster energy drink which are promotional and are still there. I would really appreciate more info. Thanks
- I would suggest reading our info on writing your first article, as it contains helpful tips. Also, the sections such as "Hangover and the effect on the economy" and "Ingredients" do not really have a place in an encyclopedia article. The best idea is to work on the article in a sandbox in your userspace (something like User:Julia222/Sandbox) so you can improve it before moving it to the mainspace. TNXMan 16:27, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
- I will write it again without the mentiond parts, but for example all these articles have the ingredients inside:5-Hour Energy, Red Bull, Lost Energy and many more and they are not deleted, even though they are just talking about the product.
- Like I mentioned, it would probably be best if you wrote in the sandbox first. This will allow other editors to offer opinions before you move it to the mainspace. TNXMan 17:24, 24 September 2009 (UTC)

question about "World Hunger Relief" page edits
Hi, I noticed that you made edits to the "World Hunger Relief" page. Some of what was removed is relevant to World Hunger Relief campaign. I'm trying to find outside sources to reference, but many of the sources refer back to fromhungertohope.com and yum.com websites. The other best available sources are online newspaper articles from previous years that require subscriptions to view the source. Is that acceptable? The 2009 campaign starts next week and I will add 3rd party sources as they become available. Please share any suggestions on how I can make the page better while achieving my goal of containing more information. Thank you. Your guidance is appreciated.
ToniEwton (talk) 19:25, 1 October 2009 (UTC)
- I removed a lot of the material because it appeared to be advertising and was not written neutrally (it had a lot of weasel words and peacock terms). We have a guide on what is considered a "reliable source" and you can read it here. Editors are generally discouraged from using sources that require a subscription, as not all readers will be able to read it. TNXMan 22:08, 11 October 2009 (UTC)

Adam Anicich
Tnxman307,
I am writing an article on someone that I was in the Army with and with whom I worked for in the past. He has done some random things, but I think I know enough about him to write a page that is good enough to publish. I read up about writing your first article and have had some success. Unfortunately, I wrote that article first. I reposted it about 5 times, but it was deleted every time. Finally, you deleted it and protected the page so I cannot edit it anymore. Is there anyway that you can unprotect the page - I have (what I believe to be a quality article) that I want to post that clearly articulates why he is notable, what he did, and his relation to various subjects. I promise that it will be a good addition to Wikipedia and that I wont let you down.

"Diwan Bookstore" (G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion)
Dear Sir, Why you delete "Diwan Bookstore" (G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion), this is not advertising or promotion.
Diwan bookstores (is the bookstores name for "Al-Sharq for Bookstores") established at 2002, and has the biggest bookstores in Egypt, and I'm just adding information about it.
please search for diwan bookstores at Google and find out more..
I'm talking to you as the IT specialist for Al-Sharq for Bookstores, and I just knew that Wikipedia has no articles about the biggest bookstore in Egypt.
Thank you and waiting to here from you.

Illegal usernames
Personally I think this approach [3] counts as biting Newbies, especially after only a single edit. I think you should really offer to move the account to a new name to them, it may be a little more work but is generally much less contra WP:BITE. --BozMo talk 18:38, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
- The template used is plenty less bitey than the one that would otherwise be used, {{spamusername}} Triplestop x3 19:22, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
- This template is NOT bitey. I dunno what that was all about. Tan | 39 19:24, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
- Not the wording of the template but the process. Why do you block an account with a single edit rather than offer to move it to another name? That seems pretty bitey to me. --BozMo talk 20:26, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, they had more than one edit, creating an article (HELP Foundation) which was deleted. I hope the template I used was pretty clear, in that accounts that appear to represent more than one person are not allowed. However, if the user would like to post an unblock request or send me an email, I'd be happy to point them in the right direction. TNXMan 00:15, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
- I thought I checked for deleted edits but I guess I missed it. Anyway, the trouble with this generous offer to the newbie is that they are unlikely to see it and we don't really know how to find out who is was although they did an anon edit as an IP just beforehand. - There has been a lot of discussion on this issue, both at WT:UAA and WT:U. However, I don't really think a consensus has been reached, as there is a difficult balance to strike between legitimate concerns of newbie biting and blocking SPAs and spammers. If you would like to contribute there, please do, as more input may help provide a clearer picture. Personally, the way I read the policy and consensus, accounts that use a company name are blocked, but with the nicest block template available. It's not a perfect situation, but its as close as I can determine. Cheers! TNXMan 13:33, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

- Not the wording of the template but the process. Why do you block an account with a single edit rather than offer to move it to another name? That seems pretty bitey to me. --BozMo talk 20:26, 17 October 2009 (UTC)
- This template is NOT bitey. I dunno what that was all about. Tan | 39 19:24, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

OK so now I know the word or concept doesn't warrant an article and I also suspect it is in fact a silly way of saying Bogan another slang term? Why did you delete my page?
Dear Tnxman307:
You deleted my page recently posted stating factually information about our company and products. I wrote it very generically and factually without the use of marketing or promotional terms. I provided links to validify the contents including ones to the FDA and DoD.
I'd like your comments as to what you felt was not good with the page. I looked at several companies that are actually our competition and did nothing different than any of them.
Regards, Mary K. Williams (talk) 14:03, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but your article did not indicate why the company is notable. I would suggest reading our page on writing your first article and how to use reliable sources to support it. Follow up to - why did you delete my page
Dear Tnxman307 I appreciate your feedback and reviewed, as you suggested, 'notable'. Per the definition provided it gave: Notable means "worthy of being noted" or "attracting notice." It is not synonymous with "fame" or "importance." Please consider notable and demonstrable effects on culture, society, entertainment, athletics, economies, history, literature, science, or education.
Quite clearly we are not famous but indeed fulfill "worthy of being noted" or "attracting notice". Take for instance our certifications. The FDA and DoD recognize us. Furthermore we have notable effects on any number of the areas mentioned above. We have published studies done in prominent magazines.
If you would kindly review "OnBase" and "LaserFiche" you will recognize that they are no more notable than DocuWare; we all do the same thing and they are indeed listed. I appreciate your time and feedback. I wish you a nice weekend.
Regards Mary K. Williams (talk) 21:00, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
- Ms. Williams, the problem is you are taking the first portion of the definition of "notable", which is not exactly what we use here. I see you omit the second part, which is, "Determining notability does not necessarily depend on things like fame, importance, or the popularity of a topic." In order to be "worthy of being noted", we don't use subjectivity to determine it - you say you "indeed fulfill" this, but by what criteria? Does anyone who sells a ware or a service fulfill notability requirements? Well, here at Wikipedia, we have set forth specific notability criteria for inclusion in the encyclopedia, as we are not just an indiscriminate collection of information. There is a set of criteria for organizations, put forth at WP:CORP. Please read this (rather lengthy) guideline page carefully. If you still think that this topic merits inclusion here, you need to be prepared to specifically state exactly how this organization meets the inclusion criteria. As it is, there is no indication that it does. However, perhaps you can tell us how we're wrong.
- As an aside, by your use of "we", it seems you are affiliated with the organization. While this is not specifically prohibited, it is a bit frowned upon as your motive for wanting this article included is suspect. Is it simply to provide information for the advancement of human knowledge, or is there a conflict of interest here (please click that link) - does your organization stand to gain profit, monetary or otherwise, from the exposure? Please think this over carefully as well. Thanks for your time; I'm here to help, as is Tnxman307. Tan | 39 22:23, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

You blocked User: Garydubh on the report of User: Bastun
he removed an entry on the basis that it was written by User:Garydubh - it was not - he is completely incorrect - please talk to the user who made the entry directly and avoid unfounded and unverified allegations in the future - doubt if he made any effort to check this out - just jumped to an assumption. Furthermore allegations that that user had COI entries in this aricle are also incorrect - the user has made no contribution to discussion on this article since Jan 2009 and has had not entry in the article since April 2008 - you used this as a justification for blocking the user - again completley incorrect and unfounded. The user in question has no further interest in this article.
He made reference to a personal name in association with the accused user - the personal name is not a user name - do not use it here again.
He made reference to a company name in a derogatory manner implying that there was some issue with the work of the company - do not do so again.
Finally, if the article is about the official postcode system of Ireland - then the article should be removed as there is no official postcode system in Ireland yet and the provision of such is subject to an open tender comeptition which wikipedia discussion may prejudice and undermine and open yourselves and wikipedia to legal action.
Please do not mention relevant user name, personal name, company name or product name on the article or related discussion without the permission of the relevant owners. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.70.108.125 (talk) 22:48, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

News Public Deleted
Hi there, I have uploaded some information about the website www.news-public.com - we have been est for over a year. We are more than a blog website. We are Citizen Journalism website that allow users to upload articles, videos and photos. Out site is no different to sites like Newsvine, Now Public and is close to sites Yahoo Buzz and Digg.
My question is what makes news-public any different to Newsvines and Now Public, is it that we arn't a business? I feel we make the guidelines apart from the business status. Cheers Scot24 (talk) 17:22, 24 October 2009 (UTC)scot24Scot24 (talk) 17:22, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

Question from JIm Pastore, Headmster of Island Academy International School
Dear Wikipedia monitor,
I am wondering why you deleted the entry for our school? I looked at the rules, and I did not post anything that is promotional. I did of course mention that our bursary program (which provides very poor children with admission to the school) exists due to donations from donors... but only did so in the context of explaining an integral part of our school, that of donations making it possible for poor children to go to our school. And this makes us very, very different from any other international school I know of.
I would love for you to take the time to answer me to explain why the article was deleted... I feel that having our school on the Wikipedia site is justifiable as I want to enable people looking for our school to be able to understand how we can do what we do for so many children.
I look forward to your reply as I also look forward to the reposting of our school page on wikipedia- of course respecting the rules and with your help!
Thank you and have a wonderful rest of your weekend. Sincerely, Jimperuzzo (talk) 15:39, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
Jim Pastore, Headmaster, Island Academy International School two emails: <blanked>
- I'm sorry, but Wikipedia does not allow promotional material to be posted here. Phrases like "It is both rich and broad. Consistent with our mission, we provide classroom experiences that prepare students not only for university admission, but also for life as responsible citizens of a complex and changing world." have no place in a neutrally written encyclopedia. Also, since you have a conflict of interest regarding the subject, you are highly discouraged from writing/editing articles about the school. Finally, please read our info on notability and what makes a subject worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia. (I have blanked your email addresses to prevent the web-crawling spambots from picking them up.) TNXMan 15:43, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
That is a real shame. Of course when a school posts its mission statement, phrases such as the ones you object to will come up- mission statements inevitably use such language, and it would be remiss of a school article to not have the mission statement. I also agree that in general the "owner" of a company should not post about it on a site like Wikipedia. But how else am I do to so? Direct someone to do so? At other schools there is general someone who is a school employee who does the posting to Wikipedia... so perhaps my transparency is the problem in actually doing it myself on a Sunday morning.
Is it possible to repost and take out the offensive words "rich and broad"?
PS - thank you for watching out for me regarding spam. I don't usually worry about spam with my yahoo address as the filters are quite good, but of course I want to eliminate spam on our school sever where possible. Thank you.
- I'm sorry, but the way the article was written would not be appropriate for Wikipedia. Mission statements should generally not be included in articles, as the goal is provide a neutral article that is based on independent third-party reliable sources. Your best bet, if you would like an article to be posted, is to read our guide to writing your first article and post a draft of the article in a sandbox in your userspace (something like User:Jimperuzzo/Sandbox). After you've written the draft, you can ask another editor to review it for you. TNXMan 16:01, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
I will do so on the sandbox. But as a very young school it is hard to have many 3rd party references/reliable sources to refer to. Thank you for your help. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jimperuzzo (talk • contribs) 16:10, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

YES! International
Could you offer any advice for the page you recently deleted for the charity YES! international. It had been posted for aproximately 6 minutes and while I was writing the hold-on tag/message, the page was deleted.
I am a beginner with Wikipedia, have read (and thought I understood) the guidelines, but could still use some help or advice about improving the article (or if it is ever possible to meet the guidelines).
For some of these following reasons, I thought the charity might be notable:
- In the 80's the charity hosted some large, well publicized events celebrity events to bring toys to needy children in San Francisco and Timmins Ontario.
- Was recognized by United Nations, Unicef, and UNEP as an Internet Exemplar. (Canadian Who's Who - University of Toronto Press)
- Participation on the Board by first CEO of Air Canada (his bio is on Wikipedia) and former CEO of Heinz foods
- Ongoing work around the world and
- annual awards styled along the lines of Nobel prize
Also, As I don't expect you to "do all the work", are there other place(s) where I can ask for help in writing the article/offer the topic as a suggestion?
If so, is it appropriate to post the deleted article in my personal space while in development and can this be shared with potential authors?
Thanks for any help.
John.

Thanks for you input.
- I will change my user name a.s.a.p., as this has nothing to do with clients (I'm unemployed) or web design - I just thought this was a helpful and straight-forward topic for a first article. Is this possible, or should I just register again with a more plain name?
I will post the article in a sandbox and ask for further input but please clarify if possible - I'd rather not spend time on an impossible task as I've already spent two days reviewing the guidlines and researching each point.
- You mention " was written like an advertisement " but there was nothing to sell and it was written as a chronological history of the organization. What part should change to avoid being considered an advertisement?
- It seems I should include more detailed information on sources - I agree. I referenced the recognition by United Nations, Unicef, and UNEP. I checked their filings with the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency before I started and their budget is a few million (so as not to be a small group as defined in the notability guidelines). The University of Toronto Press includes a reference in their encyclopedic "Who's Who of Canada" that I can add. There are awards from America Online and Yahoo but they are for the website and not the organization (so I left that out). There is little news coverage for this charity as they are rather small, but the Wikipedia notability guidlines state that being small should not prevent inclusion. Does it seem worth a second try or will these sources clearly not meet the standard for reliable sources ?.
Thanks Vzmedia (talk) 03:21, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
- First of all, let me say that by asking these questions, you're already far ahead of other article authors here. The thing to look for in sources is a)independence (cannot be published by the subject itself) and b) significant coverage (must be more than passing mentions). The Who's Who probably won't meet the significant coverage part. Are there any news articles or published interviews about them? Those would go a long way towards covering both bases.
- Secondly, the advertising. All Wikipedia material must be written from a neutral point of view. Paragraphs like
"In 1992, Friday's Child International's first satellite hook-up between New York City and Toronto, Canada, became an experimental success in effectively using interactive television as a means of enhancing communication between youth in all corners of the world. FCI's young people quickly became the stars and producers of their own media deliberation on the social ills they were facing. The chairman's extensive background in television production and international lecturing prepared her to capitalize on the technique of creating excitement. Her instincts set out the architecture for what would become the essence of FCI's future successes: Distance Edu-InFo-Tainment!"
aren't very encyclopedic. The best idea is start with very basic statements of facts and avoid peacock terms. You can build there. If you have questions as you go, just let me know. Best, TNXMan 03:29, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. I'll work on it in the sandbox for a few days and ask for a quick check when it's ready. Vzmedia (talk) 14:16, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
My conversation with an admin and his reply
You deleted my page Avatar and not lagged it in? Why ? It contained usefull info abouut the movie avatar. Pluss I spent about an hour , on my iPhone , working. I'm only asking why. I have even read the delletion policy and none of it applyred. If you are just a kid pissin around you don't need to be an admin ! You dushbag! If you mean this page, you'll see the deletion log clearly marked. Secondly, calling someone names isn't a good strategy when you're asking questions. Finally, the page was deleted because it did not indicate why the website was notable. TNXMan 00:31, 26 October 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lol the editor (talk • contribs)

Appeal: Deletion of the page Tony Wang
I understand that the problem with the page Tony Wang was that it was not considered that this fashion designer was notable enough. I did not get time to finish citing additional sources to meet this requirement. Now the page is gone. How can I create a page and populate it with enough content if I don't get enough time? How can I create the page for Tony Wang? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zelysion (talk • contribs) 02:42, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
- The best idea is to re-write the article in a sandbox in your userspace (something like User:Zelysion/Sandbox). This will allow you to properly write the article. You can then ask another editor to review it before you move it to the mainspace. TNXMan 02:45, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Listen here big guy, dont get so fired up because youre probably some fat guy who sits around going through people's wikipedia pages all day. Plus, who are you to tell me that Cole Brown isn't important? - I try not to be a jerk to anyone. I'm sorry if you've gotten the opposite impression. As for page deletions, a few sections above this one, someone is making a good effort to create an article about YES! International. Instead of complaining, they've asked how to go about it and which guidelines they should be following. That's the best way to get an article on Wikipedia. TNXMan 03:33, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

- It looks better, but it still needs a lot of cleanup. The "Early Life" section should probably be pared down quite a bit, as most of the info isn't supported by reliable sources. The "Fashion Designer" section, as it stands, should probably be completely removed, as there are no references there at all. The last section seems the most supported, but could be cleaned up some. Do you have a reference for the part about the Bloomingdale's VP? The mentions of the two ladies he interviewed don't hold up as much, since they don't have articles here and being a #1 search result isn't an indication of notability. Finally, you shouldn't use the subject's own website as a reference. I hope this helps. TNXMan 11:34, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Follow up to - why did you delete my page (2)
Hi Tnxman307. I have read in detail all the pages you suggested and would continue to debate my position. To answer your question would be difficult because I do not believe there is a yes or no answer. I’d like to think that I’m not alone in the world since I believe in “maybes” and “what ifs” :-).
To further my discussion with you on notability I offer the following for your review. Is it not notable when something (either a product or service or idea) is bettering our culture and ultimately forming history? This generation and I dare say, these times, are yearning to do what it can help the ecology and better our standards of living. Why not look towards the future by improving daily work habits so that we can enjoy life and allow time for creativity? I challenge you to ask yourself: what if there was something that could help the healthcare industry to lower costs and provide better care? What would the impact be? Is this not something society would refer to today and maybe tomorrow or maybe even next year?
I totally agree that Wiki is not for advertising. Stating true facts that are referene points for knowledge is what I would think Wiki was searching for. This is all I offered in my posting.
I await your reply. 24.39.153.124 (talk) 15:59, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
- It may be notable in the larger sense of the word, but Wikipedia has a much narrower definition of what makes something notable (and thus worthy of inclusion). In order to be notable according to Wikipedia, a subject must have received significant coverage in independent reliable sources. If the article cannot offer that, then it cannot be posted here. As Tan mentioned in the section above, the relevant page to review is here. You should also read our info on writing from a neutral point of view. TNXMan 17:10, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Michael Brendel Sr Deletion
Hey!
I was just wondering why you deleted the Michael Brendel Sr page I made. I read the article that Wikipedia put up about it's speedy deletion, but thought I added enough stuff to correct it.
The page that they tell you to go to said that the person I was writing about needed to be a scholar or have recieved a notable award or honor. I added that he had received a Bachelor’s and a Master’s in Theology and later acquired Doctorate Degrees in Ministry and Divinity. I also said that Mr. Brendel was written about in the Who's Who in America two years in a row while living in West Virginia. While in WV, he started a Bible college, Mountain State Baptist College. He also was the Principal of a Christian School for two years and an Administrator for six.
I was just wondering if I could try to make the page again and see what they say. Thanks!!!! Tales From Thaer (talk) 01:17, 28 October 2009 (UTC)Tales From Thaer

Sockpuppet? Farrier and horse hoof articles
Tnxman, FYI I saw that you blocked the user name "American Farriers Association." No sooner did you do so than someone created User:AFA-CJF and immediately began editing more horse hoof-related articles (Laminitis, etc...check contribs). I can tell you that the AFA is a real organization, and mainstream, but no idea, of course, if this user actually has anything to do with the group (the creation of a sockpuppet hints that they are not.). Your call what you want to do about this username, and I will review the actual edits (I'm one of the "hardcore" members of WPEQ) for content, but figured that as you stuck on the block of the first user and the new one may well be a sockpuppet of the first, you'd want to know. Montanabw(talk) 02:34, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
- It is indeed a sock, as indicated here. However, the block I set on the original account did not limit account creation, as my hope was that they would create an account whose username was not associated with the group. I have left the new account a COI notice. If you would like to report this elsewhere (possibly WP:COIN?), I have no objection to another admin stepping in, but I don't think it's a blatant username vio. Thanks for the heads up! TNXMan 03:05, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
- For now I'll leave it be, the edits were mildly POV but not harmful and I have tweaked them to tone down the peacock wording. Perhaps they will come back and learn the culture here, the horse hoof articles could actually benefit from some expert input. We'll wait and see. Montanabw(talk) 00:14, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

GCC6
Hello Tnxman307! This is Khalidco who is the author of the page GCC6 that was quickly deleted for no expressed reason. The indication of importance of this page is far greater than what can be measured from someone in Australia for example. The page will provide information about a web site that is going to serve a large population in the Arabian Gulf (GCC) countries in ways that have not been available not too long ago. Further reading of A7 makes me wonder if we are both looking at the same page. I am the develper of that site and you can verify that using tools such a domaintools.com which will display to you the adminstrative contact person's email. The same emil is used when I registered with WIKIPEDIA. I plan to add to it and improve the appearanse as we go along. It would be nice to see stats about visitors and locations in this universe. If you know a way to do that, please let me know.
Khalid
p.s. I think you should've replied to my previous response or at least respect the hang-on tag that I've placed before you killed it.
Hello.. I have modified gcc6 and placed it in user:khalidco/sandbox. I've always seen pages on wiki that are still not yet complete. Moreover, the reason for the deletion is specified as A7 related. I am sure that there are so many existent pages that you can arguably tag for that criteria or another. Please look at the modified page in the sanbox folder and let me know if it is acceptable to wiki admins. It would be very useful to wiki visitors who can benefit from the site's services. Especially the ones in that part of the world. Gratsi. Signing to enable archiving. TNXMan 02:53, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

Jeffrey Chiang
hi I tried to create a page on Jeffrey Chiang and it was not meant to be a personal attack. This story is very popular and famous and the external links support the same. Kindly look into it.
- I'm sorry, but the article was a negative, unsourced BLP. Please read our info on personal attacks and what makes someone notable enough to have a article on Wikipedia. TNXMan 13:39, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. What is BLP? And please also provide the link for notability guidelines for a living person and my violation of the same (given the external links provided by me on the same). AFA negativity is concerned, we could always change the tone of the article to make it more positive. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Anupamjain008 (talk • contribs) 13:44, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
- BLP is Wikipedia's policy on biographies of living people, which is strictly enforced. The guidelines on the notability of people are found here. One person cheating on a job interview is not notable. If you think that you can write a neutral article, I would suggest writing in your userspace (something like Anupamjain008/Sandbox) first, then asking another editor to review it before posting it to the mainspace. TNXMan 13:47, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
One person cheating on interview is not notable of course. However, him being denied to ever be able to work on wall street due to this reason is notable according to me. Kindly read the notability guidelines again: "interesting, or unusual enough to deserve attention or to be recorded".
Do you not think that the whole incident is interesting and unusual enough? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Anupamjain008 (talk • contribs) 14:01, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
- Not particularly, no. Notability is defined by receiving significant coverage in independent reliable sources. As I said, your best bet is to write the article in a sandbox first and ask another editor to review it. TNXMan 14:04, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

I based this page on the entry for a similar company which is already in Wikipedia. It was purposely made to be factual, neutral and non promotional in line with Wikipedia's guidelines.

- I'm sorry, but the article appeared to be advertising and also did not indicate why the company was notable. I would encourage you to read our info on writing your first article and how to use reliable sources to support it. Since you have a conflict of interest, I would also recommend writing the article in your userspace first (something like User:NorbCEO/Sandbox) and asking another editor to review it before moving it to the mainspace. I can do that for you if you'd like. TNXMan 15:07, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
Brilliant! I didn't realise that they could be reviewed by an editor prior to publishing, still new to Wikipedia and all it has to offer. Many thanks, I'll sort that out and get it to you ASAP.... :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by NorbCEO (talk • contribs) 15:09, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
Zendesk
I have undone your speedy deletion of Zendesk. Both prod and speedy deletion had previously been declined and the page doesn't read like an ad. Certainly, the page is not a very good article, but that is b/c it has almost no content, not b/c it has ad content. More importantly, the subject does appear to be notable.
I've cleaned it up a bit & will try to expand it sometime his week.--ThaddeusB (talk) 15:18, 1 November 2009 (UTC)

Leroy Cronin
Hi. You recently blocked Leroycronin (talk · contribs) and his sockpuppet account Roy Cronin (talk · contribs), both of which were used to vandalise the BLP Leroy Cronin. It seems he is back editing from 82.132.139.138. Should the IP also be blocked? Or perhaps the article would benefit from protection for a short while? I requested semi protection at WP:RPP yesterday but it was declined. Barret (talk) 17:43, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

Follow up up (6)
Hi Tnxman307: Thank you for your input on the articles. I will work on the article page in the near future, too much on my plate today. Just a question, once you deleted my other article page, is it gone forever or can you put it live again so I don't have to start at ground zero? Figured it was worth a shot to just edit the one I started last time. Thanks for your help, I appreciate it. P.S. I may have another article, how does this work moving forward, do I just add it to the list on my article page with a link and they it is reviewed by someone at Wiki (I am assuming that if it's ok, it stays but what happens if you don't like it, does the entire DocuWare page go away or just the one listing? I appreciate your help to a newbie.24.39.153.124 (talk) 22:09, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
Bob Flanagan
You apparently marked a picture for deletion on Bob Flanagan's page, and I was curious to how come?
I found the image and uploaded it, with what I assume was the correct manner and I did leave the source with where I found it. I have an email from the photographer saying it was okay to use it here and since it's a picture of Bob Flanagan and one not copy-righted, there is no fault with it.
If there is a problem with the way I submitted it, I would like to correct that so I can reassert the image, as it improves the page's quality significantly. I would love to work this out and help improve the page. I have been trying to do something for a while, but I seem to keep hitting failures.

Ok, I just decided to add the prod tag. I just gotta ask though how does it not meet criteria for speedy deletion. All the article is is a one sentence description. It doesnt explain how he is notable whatsoever.--Yankees10 00:21, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
- It doesn't meet A1, as it clearly establishes the context for the article. An A1 article would be something that consisted of "He is a funny man with a red car. He makes people laugh." It also doesn't really meet A7, as it least claims importance (not notability, which is a higher threshold). If you have questions about speedy deletion tags as you review pages, feel free to drop me a line and I'll be happy to help. TNXMan 00:23, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
- Ok thanks, I ask because a while back I remember when the speedy was added and all it was was a sentence that didnt establish notability, it would most likely be deleted. Did requirements change or something.--Yankees10 00:28, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
- Well, that's just it. An article doesn't have to establish notability to avoid speedy deletion, it simply has to make a claim of importance. That requirement has been in effect since I started here a couple of years ago. TNXMan 00:30, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

The Sound of Speed (band) page deletion
Hi Tnxman307... The reason why it appears that some of the text in the sound of speed (band) posting is similar to the thestranger.com website is because I wrote both pages. Is there an issue of me using the same work for both? What is the process I need to follow to have my page reinstated? Thank you for your work -- Tim S Thesoundofspeed (talk) 01:46, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, we can't be sure that you are who you say you are. If you do own the copyright to the material, please follow the instructions set out on this page. Furthermore, it is apparent that you have a conflict of interest regarding the subject, which means you are highly discouraged from creating/editing articles that deal with the band. Project Kaiser deletion
Reason for first deletion was: Non-notable software, advertising Passportguy, Delete - no coverage about this software in reliable sources. Now article does have references and written unbiased, so not sure why you dropped it. German.lutoff (talk) 19:29, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

How would you want me to change this article to make it not promotional? Kwesachu Vol.1
Per this, the article history shows that "the author of the only substantial content has requested deletion in good faith, either explicitly or by blanking the page" is exactly what happened. I42 (talk) 22:04, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
- I agree that the author requested deletion, but I think the article has moved beyond the point where they can request deletion like that. There have been (albeit minor) contributions from other editors and the article appears notable enough. If I were to delete it, I would simply recreate as my own creation, so I just skipped all of the steps in between. TNXMan 22:07, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
- I have redir'd to the artist page per WP:NALBUMS, as I earlier did with the c&p move of this page at Kwesachu Mixtape Vol.1. Speedily Deletion
"This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia."
I send you an essay explaining why Diego Jacobson is important and significant. He's the next Jackson Pollock!
- But until he is (and his art is covered in independent reliable sources), he really shouldn't have an article on Wikipedia. See writing your first article for more info. TNXMan 22:23, 7 November 2009 (UTC)

I have never submitted anything to Wikipedia, and now seeing it as being quite harsh but understandable. I believe the person is notable and worthy that he should be on Wikipedia. Hes a famous psychic medium in the northeast region.
According to A7 - An article about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (e.g. band, club, company, etc., except schools), or web content that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant.
It states that maybe I need to put up more reliable sources to make it factual. What do you suggest? And also can I get a copy of the text on the page since it took me 3 hours to figure out how to enter it in Wikipedia code.
Thanks

- I've reviewed it and stepped in to do some cleanup. You should take a look at {{cite web}} to see how to cite websites in your article. The information about Sir Charles still cites from reliable sources as well. TNXMan 17:25, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Hey TnXman307, thanks for the help and stepping in. I always need a little in this realm. I took a look at that article, and I saw the changes that you made, thanks. I got the Sir Charles piece from a business card he hands out. So I just took it from that. Sylvia Browne has a similar ordeal on her page. You think its ready to go live?
Thanks,
NW --Nwallin (talk) 17:45, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- I'll move it for you if you'd like, however, I still feel that it's still missing significant coverage in independent sources. There's probably enough there to avoid speedy deletion, but it still may get taken to a deletion discussion. TNXMan 18:40, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Hey TnXman307,
How many independent sources do you need to make an article significant coverage. Ill look for other sources to add to it if that would be better. Let me know what I have to do to make it happen and I will.
Thanks,
NW Nwallin (talk) 18:56, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, the sources themselves have to cover the subject in an in-depth manner. Two good sources the cover the subject in great detail would be enough. I guess the way to sum it up would be "quality, not quantity". TNXMan 20:57, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Please help
Hello Tnxman307, I created a page for the German car tuner "Deutsche Manufaktur" but it was deleted by you.
I would like you to consider re-activating my contribition. The reason names for deletion was not relevant, but plenty of other pages about German car tuners exist, for example about "Hamann Motorsport".
Thank you very much for helping me on this issue!
Stephan —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stephanbode (talk • contribs) 18:04, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, the reasons for deletion are very relevant. The article was deleted because it appeared to be advertising. Please read our info on writing from a neutral point of view. You may also want to read our info on why the status of one article has no bearing on another. TNXMan 18:38, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Hidden Villa
Why did you take down the page - I entered {{hangon}} and two notes - the first that CorenBot was in error, as I had permission from Hidden Villa (I visited them two days ago to get permission to put a page up for them) and the second that I had already started rewriting it, and adding additional material and references to avoid possible copyright violation of coyping from the hidden villa website. Moments later, it went down.
- First of all, we have no evidence at all that you contacted the website and have permission. If that is the case, you need to follow the instructions on this page. Secondly, the page was also blatantly advertising for Hidden Villa. I would encourage you to read our info on writing your first article, as that may have info that can help you. TNXMan 22:29, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Because I just created the page this am, my first draft was heavily copied from their website which is why it looked like advertising. I have been rewriting it all day. Now I see that I should have started construction in the Sandbox. Can you please return the text to me as a Word doc or whatever means works best for you so that I can re-post it in the Sandbox and rework it. I've done many other pages now and know what advertising is. My email is <blanked> if that helps. Thank you for your consideration. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Schmiebel (talk • contribs) 22:42, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- I've removed your email to prevent the spambots that crawl the web from picking it up. I've userfied the content for you to User:Schmiebel/Sandbox. Please do work on improving it, as Wikipedia cannot really allow copyrighted material to remain posted, so the sooner you can rework it, the better. TNXMan 22:46, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
You are fantastic, and just saved me hours of work. I am particularly proud of my pages on Black Mountain (near Los Altos, California) and Alhambra Creek. Rest assured I'll turn the Hidden Villa page into one of similar quality. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Schmiebel (talk • contribs) 23:17, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Reasoning
Hello Tnxman307, I don't think you understood my reason. This is not an excuse but a complaint that the user has been deleting the edit over and over. I demand that a third person to see it themselves and they will see the truth of it. Willbender (talk) 12:51, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
- Reasoning for what? TNXMan 12:53, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
The reasoning that the user is consistently ignoring the warnings and messages sent by deleting them rather than replying to my warnings. I don't want this to happen but if they don't talk to you and just send it back, they just don't want to make any attempt to resolve the matter. Willbender (talk) 12:56, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
Can I also make the actual note? I saw the episode of Australia's Apprentice, Sam got fired, but User:Mybottomreallyhurts keeps editing that Gavin got fired and Eventus didn't win. Can you please help me with this edit issue? That user isn't willing to cooperate and I'm not used to dealing with editing conflicts. Willbender (talk) 13:19, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

PACE submission
Hi - I'm hoping you can send me the original file for the PACE submission that was deleted last week so that I may address some of the concerns you had with it and try to repost. Could you also possibly tell me specifically what you thought was too promotional?
Thanks. Siegelt (talk) 20:56, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but I don't feel comfortable restoring the information, since it is almost entirely copied/pasted from this website. Wikipedia cannot accept such materials, as it is copyrighted. To see why it was considered promotional, please read our info on advertising, writing neutrally, and peacock terms. TNXMan 21:20, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
Yes, I know. They are my client. I am posting it for them. Is there some proof you need from them that they would like this posted? Other than that, I can address the promotional issues if you can send me the original file.
Thanks, Siegelt (talk) 23:04, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
- In that case, you have a conflict of interest, which means you shouldn't be posting it all. Wikipedia is not a place to promote organizations, either by posting the material from their website or by doing a write up for them. TNXMan 23:07, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
So, I can't even have a chance to "write an article on an area in which you are personally involved, be sure to write in a neutral tone and cite reliable, third-party published sources, and beware of unintentional bias." I don't need to write it in a biased way or use peacock terms, I would just like to post some basic information about them.
Thanks, Siegelt (talk) 23:17, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
- Then I think the best place to go would be the articles for creation page. This will allow other editors to review the page before it's posted. TNXMan 23:19, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
Ok, thanks for your help.

Australian Sailing Magazine wiki page - deletion
Hi I have reworked the ASM wiki page, making it as straight and factual as possible. I have also added some references. It truly is the only yacht racing magazine for all of Australia and therefore a notable publication. I hope the edits satisfies your stringent requirements!
Unfortunately the website has not been up for very long. It has just been accepted by Google News as a worthy news source and we're sorting out the xml sitemap now.
BTW Yaffa Publishing was established in 1928, one of the few major independent publishing houses in Australia. We publish 30 magazines (both consumer and trade). Some of our mags are very niche.
Thanks for your time. I look forward to chatting with you soon. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.185.84.181 (talk) 01:47, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
- Well, here's the thing. Since you have a conflict of interest, Wikipedia discourages you from editing the page about the magazine. I would encourage you to read our info on using reliable sources as well as writing your first article. The current article has no independent sources that show why the magazine is notable enough for an article. TNXMan 03:19, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

Heya,
In early Sept you issued a block for IP 199.185.88.162 for substantiated reasons listed in the user talk page. Since the release of that block the behaviour appears to have continued, even quite recently. Would you mind taking another look at this guy or should we start another arv for him? Thanks Srobak (talk) 17:28, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
- I don't see a lot of recent activity, but if they persist, they should be blocked. You can either drop me a line or report them to AIV. Cheers! TNXMan 17:29, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

Block of Brews Ohare
Tnxman307, you wrote:
Decline reason: "I'm sorry, but the terms of your topic ban were clear. If you wish to be unblocked before the set expiration time of the block, you'll need to make a convincing argument that you did not violate the topic ban.
I think that Brews' did not violate his topic ban when interpreted reasonably. The topic ban means that Brews cannot participate in editing physics articles and participate in physics talk page disussions. I've made it clear a few times that this was unjustified, but that's my personal opinion. Brews must, of course, stick to his topic ban. Now, a problem with this topic ban is that physics is a huge field and that Brews is even banned from mentioning things even remotely connected to physics.
Under these circumstances, I would say that it is reasonable to not be overly pedantic. So, while Brews should not seek the boundaries of his topic ban by e.g. correcting a typo on a physics age, Brews should still be allowed to very briefly respond to a comment like he did here if he does his best to avoid to discuss any physics.
Now, Finell knows about Brews topic ban and he has been trying to convince Brews to make edits to articles and stay away from becomeing involved in Wiki policies. I am more positive about Brews being involved here, because I fear that Brews may leave Wikipedia altoghether if we tell him he can't do that eiter. Anyway, Finell, knowing about Brew's topic ban, decided to bring up the speed of light Arbcom case by commenting:
This proposed essay appears to be based on the unstated misconception that Wikipedia's policies, guidelines, and processes broke down in the Speed of light arbitration. It is understandable that editors who were sanctioned feel that way. Nevertheless, that case dealt appropriately with editors who were violating Wikipedia's policies and guidelines and thereby disrupting the project of writing an encyclopedia. —Finell (talk) 17:45, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
If you are Brews and you want to deny this, how are you going to do that? If you are reasonable then you have to allow Brews some space, albeit it minimal, to very briefly in a few words address this and do that in such a way as to avoid discussing any physics. And that is exactly what he did. He did gave two links which were relevant to the issue at hand and he avoided discussing any physics.
So, I would say that Brews did his best to stay within the boundaries of his topic ban. If you were in his position, you would have wanted to give a more detailed reply, so clearly an effort was made on his part to not do that. And that's precisely the purpose of the topic ban.
Had Brews gone to a physics page and corrected a typo, then that would have been a deliberate action. He would have had the reasonable choice not to do that. So, while in a certain sense he would have made a smaller physics related edit, it would still have been a far more grave violation of his topic ban. Count Iblis (talk) 21:23, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
- Your argument is very clear. However, Brews original unblock request looked like this. There's no substance to it beyond an accusation of unfairness. That was the only reason I declined the unblock: there was no argument of any substance. That said, the current unblock request is much more thorough and should be evaluated appropriately. I do not have time to do so now, but if the request is still up in a couple of hours, I will do so then. TNXMan 21:34, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

EdJohnston (talk) 05:04, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Trying to understand deletion policy
Hi,
My page 'TrustTone' was deleted according to the deletion policy (A7). This message is not to contest it but to understand the policy better. Since this was my first article it was 'modeled' after 'Zix_Corporation', 'Entrust' and 'Echoworx' pages. How is my approach different than these pages which are not deleted? (I am not suggesting that they should be deleted.)
I will appreciate if you can guide me here.
Thanks,

- I'm sorry, but editing where you have a conflict of interest is highly discouraged. Furthermore, Wikipedia does not accept promotion or advertising. Please read our info on writing from a neutral point of view and using reliable sources. TNXMan 19:06, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
It's hardly a conflict of interest to put up an informational page about a worthwhile cause. In addition, it's not promotion or advertising; it's simply information about a philanthropic adventure. It was written from a perfectly acceptable POV and the sources were reliable. Quite frankly, I don't think you had a good reason for deleting the page at all. Kassi, Kansi, Kasi tribe, etc.
Hello. The various articles with names similar to this are a bit of a tangled knot. Thanks for your help with the housekeeping move, but could you please see Talk:Kansi: I believe that Kasi tribe would be the best home for the article about this group. As you can see I requested a move there from Kansi to Kasi tribe, and so far there have been no objections. Kassi looks like a better developed article at the moment, but is in fact just one of about a dozen forks created recently, and consists mainly of a copyvio from Google books that's been following this topic around. Thanks, MuffledThud (talk) 20:16, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
- I agree with move. It was hard to follow what the original author was trying to do, but after your clean up, it looks much better. Let me know if there's anything with which I can assist you. Cheers! TNXMan 22:30, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

Benwikinxp 08:41, 16 November 2009 (UTC)
Hi !
I've seen that you had deleted the JESD204 article. I'm from NXP Semiconductors and this article was written by my colleague Maury Wood. I proposed to Maury to put his article on Wikipedia and he gave me the permission, since we are from the same company. How can you undelete the page? do you need Maury's email to get confirmation of the permission?
Thanks a lot for your help,
Benoit. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Benwikinxp (talk • contribs) 08:41, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

EFL Law
Hi,
I am wondering why this article - http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/EFL-Law was deleted?
It only was deleted when I mentioned it somewhere online. then within days, it was gone! I'd like an explanation and I'm not involved directly in any of the issues but to myself - it seemed like a fair and accurate description of events / facts.
Could you just tell me your reasonings and who requested such?
Thanks, my email is <blanked> David —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.166.250.47 (talk) 15:18, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

Hello, about the ChobbieWorld article.
Hello, recently I was helping write the article "ChobbieWorld" but it got deleted 4 times due to "Unambiguous Advertising" now, I am sorry if I tried to advertise, but how? I mean, I messaged Wikipedia and they told me to Wikipediaze it, so I did by giving credit and removing all external links (except the Wikipedia article links) and it still got deleted, so I saw the administrators who deleted it, and the last one was "Tnxman307" so could we please discuss this furthermore? I do not think the article "ChobbieWorld" should be deleted because it is an MMOG like Club Penguin and Webkinz, yet they have Wikipedia articles. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dogbones156 (talk • contribs) 18:05, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- The article was deleted because it was not written from a neutral point of view (and appeared to be advertising). Furthermore, the article did not indicate why the page was notable enough for an article. I would encourage you to read our info on writing your first article and write a draft in your userspace first. After you've written the draft, you can ask another editor to review it for you before moving it to the mainspace. TNXMan 18:26, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
Thank-you.
Thanks, Tnxman307 for you immediate reply, and I will take you advice and pay more attention, I don't know what can be done to the ChobbieWorld article?, and one last question, does something need to garner attention or be popular in order for the post to stay? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dogbones156 (talk • contribs) 21:21, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
- Like I mentioned, the best idea is to write a draft and post it in your userspace for another editor to review. In order for an article to remain posted, it must be written neutrally and have received significant coverage in independent reliable sources. TNXMan 21:26, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
Alright so...
At the moment I cannot do anything at the moment right? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dogbones156 (talk • contribs) 03:00, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

On Awapatent in the category "Intellectual Property Law Firms
Hi!
My page on Awapatent was deleted since it didn't indicate how or why the subject was important or significant. Sorry, my mistake, I'm a new editor and am not very familiar with Wikipedia yet. I'd like to place the page as a subpage in the category "Intellectual Property Law Firms", because I think I contribute with useful information in this category by writing about Awapatent. Can you help me "undeleting" my page and put it in the category "Intellectual Property Law Firms"?
Thank you! 212.247.99.161 (talk) 13:22, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but the page has to indicate why the company is notable enough to warrant an article before it can reposted. I would suggest writing a draft in your userspace and asking another editor to review it before posting it to the mainspace. TNXMan 15:31, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
Query regarding block of 207.81.157.1
Hello. I was about to decline the block request for 207.81.157.1 (talk · contribs · logs · block log) but edit-conflicted with the bot that clears AIV. While investigating the report, I noticed that the IP had not edited since 16:26 yesterday. Additionally it looks like the IP obeyed the level-three warning issued to it at 16:27 yesterday because it has not vandalized since. However I have no idea why 18 hours later Harryzilber (talk · contribs) improperly issued [17] another, escalated warning for the exact same edit from the previous day, and then reported the IP to AIV falsely claiming that the IP had vandalized after receiving a final warning [18]. Since the IP appears to have been both inactive and improperly warned and reported to AIV, you may wish to review your block. Please note that I have already left a message [19] for Harryzilber regarding his improper actions. Thank you for your time and consideration, — Kralizec! (talk) 15:50, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
- I have unblocked the IP address, as I goofed up. I thought today was the 9th (not the 10th) and thought the vandalism was current. I take responsibility for the mistake and have left a note on the IP's talk page saying as much and asking them to contact me if they have further questions. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. The Barnstar of Integrity | ||
All too often Wikipedia editors refuse to admit it they make a mistake. However when this error was pointed out to you, not only did you quickly fix the issue, but you also had the personal integrity to take responsibility for the mistake. You sir, are an example for editors and administrators alike! Thank you, — Kralizec! (talk) 16:11, 19 November 2009 (UTC) |

Hello Tnxman307, I am extremely sorry to re-interrupt you, but literally your like the only administrator who quickly replies, unfortunately I am new to Wikipedia, and I made a sample, although I forgot not to put it in my sandbox, but the link is here: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:Dogbones156/ there you will find the article I wrote on "ChobbieWorld" but got deleted, please tell me what needs to be corrected, there are alot of various error in it I know, I just have trouble Wikipedianizing it, thanks!

- I have moved your article from User:Dogbones156/ to User:Dogbones156/Sandbox. Eagles 24/7 (C) 22:04, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but the article still does not cite any reliable sources, nor does it show where it has received significant independent media coverage. Also, the information in the last paragraph (about pricing and things like that) really needs to be removed, as it appears to be advertising. TNXMan 22:34, 18 November 2009 (UTC)

Ok, I do not understand how information on a candidate for an elected office is not worthy to be included in Wikipedia. I added links to websites to show legitimacy, but they can easily be taken off. There are two articles from reliable newspapers that were included in the article. He is also listed as a candidate on the Hillsborough County Supoervisors of Election site. Please tell me what needs to be done to get this posted just like other politicians that have informational pages posted about them. Xntra city is up again just a few seconds after you deleted it. The funny thing is, the editor created the page together with the speedy-deletion tag :) Amsaim (talk) 01:46, 19 November 2009 (UTC)

No thanks
I don't need your advice on behavioural modification. And, I will not take your advice at some sort of introspective reflection on how I wronged some (insert term here) who knows nothing about nothing, but calls himself a "veteran editor".
Wikipedia is absolutely useless, and sooner or later more Internet public will realise that a source of information where its database has no permanency is invalid for use.
Quite frankly I have no intention to waste more time on arguing with pimply students who all of a sudden have a say in something and enjoy the power trip of "adminship".

Why was Aramram deleted
Hello, I'm new to this. Don't understand why the page Aramram was deleted. This is an actual website and the description I placed of it is accurate. It has been covered by the local media (Arabic language) as well as local Jordanian bloggers and websites. While the site doesn't have international importance, the fact that it is the 1st Arabic-language Jordanian webTV geared towards a Jordanian audience makes it have at least some local significance. This is attested by the fact that it is one of the top 200 Jordanian sites in the 5 months since it's launch. (ps... i mentioned i'm new at this so i've posted this query in a couple of places already... still trying to find my way around!) E.hamam (talk) 15:51, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but the article you created did not indicate why the website was notable enough to warrant an article. It also did not contain any reliable sources that supported its inclusion. Scottish Centre for Postgraduate Pharmaceutical Education

Why was PetSmart Charities, Inc. deleted?
Why was the recently created PetSmart Charities, Inc. page deleted? The page presented unbias, fact-based information about a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization championing saving the lives of homeless pets. The content was no different from the numerous other nonprofit entries on Wikipedia. In fact, it shed light to the many wonderful programs the organization does on behalf of animal welfare. The suggestion that it was advertising and had no significance is ridiculous...if you found it simply advertised, then you should delete every and all other nonprofit and for profit pages on Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Savehomelesspets (talk • contribs) 04:23, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but the article was not written neutrally and did appear to be advertising. You may also want to read our info on writing your first article. TNXMan 12:48, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
Unblock request reply on User talk:Liuzzi Says - LOL
I was amused by your reply to this editor's unblock request. Short, succinct, to the point, and a moment of laughter for the CVU and the WikiDaleks. Keep up the admin work! --A More Perfect Onion (talk) 15:43, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

I may have applied the wrong CSD template to this page, but I was wondering if you could take a look and decide if it qualifies. It was the only page created by User:Blaft Publications before they were blocked. If it doesn't qualify for CSD, please remove the template. Also, while you blocked Blaft Publications, you left my addendum report at WP:UAA regarding User:Blaft in place. That user seems to be another editor making the same sorts of self-promoting edits, possibly a sock. Could you please take a look at them as well? —ShadowRanger (talk|stalk) 21:57, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry I missed your post. It looks like another admin has deleted the page. As for the Blaft account, I don't see a blatant username violation there. Your best bet is to report them to the conflict of interest noticeboard. If there's anything with which I can help, please let me know. Cheers! TNXMan 23:29, 23 November 2009 (UTC)
- It's not the username, but the focus of edits. New articles for individuals published by Blaft, lots of little self-promoting corporate vanity bits. They haven't been active in ages, so WP:COIN seems unnecessary, I was just pointing out the suspected sock puppetry. You don't need to do anything about it; I'm guessing they lost their login info and created the new Blaft Publications login for that reason.
- In any event, thanks for the help. I thought I should make that clear; I've got your talk page watched, and the sheer volume of complaints and bickering over nothing is impressive, to say the least. Figured I could try to balance it a bit. Don't let the bastards get you down! —ShadowRanger (talk|stalk) 19:10, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
Re Scottish Centre for Postgraduate Pharmaceutical Education
Re your earlier comment on this heading There was a useful list of many pharmacy organisations with no detail on it - so I added what I knew for some of the headings there. I see the list has now been decimated and much of my effort wasted instead of edited. Yes I am a wiki novice but it would be nicer if you made some contact first. I suggest the residual list is removed completely. Regards Howard —Preceding unsigned comment added by Howardmcn (talk • contribs) 21:49, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
