note on using references

[edit]

Hi Tmmart4 I saw that your draft was declined for now. A couple things that would help you would be the use of in-line citations. Please review our training on how to properly insert citations. Additionally, neither of the two links you are using count as reliable sources. Wikipedia policies demand that all articles are supported by multiple reliable sources, which are sources that are:

  1. independent of the subject--this cannot be an organization talking about itself, or a person talking about themself. It should be an unbiased source without conflicts of interest. Both of the links you have are published by the organization you are writing about, thus they are not independent.
  2. Should cover the subject with significant detail: a fleeting mention is considered trivial; there needs to be at least a paragraph or two about the subject
  3. the source itself has to be credible and published.

Let me know if you have any questions on how to fix your article. Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:41, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I moved your draft back to draft space, and now I see that you had an identical article declined at AFC. Please do not create articles in mainspace if they are not ready. Take the advice of the AFC comments to improve your existing draft. Thanks, shoy (reactions) 16:57, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Chicago Crusader

[edit]

Hello Tmmart4,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Chicago Crusader for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Your draft article, Draft:The chicago crusader

[edit]

Hello, Tmmart4. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "The chicago crusader".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! CASSIOPEIA(talk) 11:19, 4 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
