- I decided to reactivate my account today. I sometimes read some articles to Dutch Wikipedia where I'm blocked and the account name gets transferred over there using the global login every time even though I uncheck "Log me in globally" every time. If that is a violation of WP policy please note that I can't help that as they did not block my reading rights on Dutch WP. This is why I posted under my IP address before (which is now listed on my user page). I had multiple accounts before but I intend to only use this account from now, if that's abuse plz let me know. Speedy deletion nomination of Speciaal:Bijdragen/SpeakFree
[edit]A tag has been placed on Speciaal:Bijdragen/SpeakFree, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to an article talk page, file description page, file talk page, MediaWiki page, MediaWiki talk page, category talk page, portal talk page, template talk page, help talk, user page, user talk or special page from the main/article space.
If you can fix the redirect to point to a mainspace page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you are fixing the redirect. If you think the redirect should be retained as is for some reason, you can request that administrators wait a while before deleting it. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page and state your reasoning on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. DASHBot (talk) 12:00, 13 March 2011 (UTC)

Image tagging for File:Destruction of the Goddess of Democracy.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Destruction of the Goddess of Democracy.png. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.
To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

The article Rapalje has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non notable music group, fails WP:NMUSIC
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Jezhotwells (talk) 18:16, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
Please consider actually searching for something, especially in google books first before placing sloppy tags on new articles.♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:27, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
- I did search for it but only got some travel sites on Google with not any information which would indicate its notability. Just a single mention on the travel blog of the New York Times is not enough (not everything mentioned on a newspaper's site should be regarded as gospel regarding notability). The article was nowhere near to the quality it has now (which it achieved thanks to you, according to the article's history) when I reviewed it. Didn't search Google Books but then that does not seem a primary source for information on hotels to me. SpeakFree (talk) 20:55, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
Hi. I declined your speedy on this, after some thought, because it does make some assertion of importance, though I agree that with a quick look I didn't find any confirmation. I have put a BLP-prod on it and told the author about WP:V and WP:N. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 12:31, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

Reviewer granted
[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.
If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

Orphaned non-free image File:Tank Man BBC.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Tank Man BBC.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Courcelles 04:00, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Hollandia Roeiclub logo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Hollandia Roeiclub logo.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 22:06, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
Re additions to Template:White nationalism
[edit]I'm thinking these groups and individuals could be more appropriate to something like a Template:Belgian_far_right. Nevard (talk) 00:37, 15 May 2011 (UTC)
- Except they for the fact that they are not Belgian. SpeakFree (talk) 00:40, 15 May 2011 (UTC)
- Alternatively, Flemish, or Dutch in the case of those groups that are. Nevard (talk) 01:08, 15 May 2011 (UTC)
- I also question the addition of a number of Dutch parties in the "white nationalism" template. You really have to have sources to support this (which I doubt you'll find). All the "Anti-Muslim" categories also seem questionable to me; there is a major difference between anti-Islam/anti-Islamism and "anti-Muslim". The latter implies something which would be far more extreme than most of the parties/groups you have added to the categories. – Bellatores (t.) 01:11, 15 May 2011 (UTC)
There been a lot of discussion on the talk page to get this article right, but you've ignored it. You've deleted some reliable sources, although, as you acknowledge, you "don't know what that book says". As a Dutch speaker you will have access to a wider range of sources than many other contributors. If you care to research these, rather than just scrap ones in English that you don't like the look of, that would be helpful. --Old Moonraker (talk) 16:18, 22 May 2011 (UTC)
- Forlorn hope translated as "lost heap" just doesn't make any sense. The only well-known phrase known in Dutch is "verloren hoop" which means "lost hope". Books can be untrue as well as any source so I'd want to see a good cited reference not only just an ISBN number before I believe it. SpeakFree (talk) 18:33, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

- Tricky: The etymology is supported by seven references that specifically describe the double meaning. According to WP:SOURCEACCESS it's your responsibility to find them if you want to check. Overlinking
[edit]Hi. Please see WP:OVERLINK. It says, in part: "An article is said to be overlinked if it links to words that can be understood by most readers of the English Wikipedia. Overlinking should be avoided, because it makes it difficult for the reader to identify and follow links that are likely to be of value. Unless they are particularly relevant to the topic of the article,
- Avoid linking plain English words [such as "premiere"].
- Avoid linking the names of major geographic features and locations, religions, languages, and common professions.
- Avoid linking common units of measurement and dates...."
All the best! -- Ssilvers (talk) 20:59, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
- Yes 9 out of 10 people asked in a vox pop street interview will most likely know what a "premiere" is. But they will probably also know the meaning of the word "opera". SpeakFree (talk) 21:05, 6 June 2011 (UTC)

The article Daan Nieber has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. GB fan (talk) 00:45, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Dutch films of the 2010s
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Dutch films of the 2010s, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a foreign language article that was copied and pasted from another Wikimedia project, or was transwikied out to another project. Please see Wikipedia:Translation to learn about requests for, and coordination of, translations from foreign-language Wikipedias into English.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. — Fly by Night (talk) 20:38, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

senz
[edit]I like that you added the Senz umbrella to the English umbrella page :) --IIVeaa (talk) 23:32, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- I own both the Senz Original as well as the Senz XL. It is a remarkable invention. Other so-called storm umbrella's are just more toughly built than a regular umbrella. They are more suitable for parasailing (in a Mary Poppins fashion) if you aren't heavy enough than for weathering a storm on land. Once the patent of the Senz runs out or the Chinese will start producing it just ignoring international patent laws the original umbrella designs will go the way of the dodo. And yes they were also killed off by the Dutch. ^^ SpeakFree (talk) 00:18, 27 June 2011 (UTC)

Attack pages
[edit]Thanks for tagging Thomas p cleary just now, but where a page is a personal attack like that, there is a better tag than {{db-vandalism}}: what you should do is blank the page (to get the attack off the screen) and replace it with {{db-attack}} (or {{db-atk}} or {{db-g10}}). That puts it into a high-priority queue for admin attention, and generates a suitably fierce warning for the attacker's talk page. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 21:06, 12 July 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of 013
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on 013 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Hi, and welcome to WikiProject Articles for creation! We are a group of editors who work together on the Articles for creation and Images for upload pages.
A few tips that you might find helpful:
- Please take time to fully read the reviewers' instructions before reviewing submissions.
- The project's discussion board is the best place to ask for help or advice. You might like to watchlist this page, and you are encouraged to take part in any discussion that comes up.
- Article submissions that need reviewing can be found in Category:Pending AfC submissions and there is also a useful list which is maintained by a bot.
- You might wish to add {{AFC status}} to your userpage, which will alert you to the number of open submissions. There is also a project userbox. If you haven't done so already, please consider adding your name to the list of participants.
- Several of our members monitor the #wikipedia-en-help connect IRC channel, and you are welcome to join in.
- The IRC channel #wikipedia-en-afc connect is used occasionally for internal discussion regarding the Articles for Creation process, and also serves as a recent changes feed, displaying all edits made in the Articles for Creation namespace.
Once again, welcome to the project. Mediation4u (talk) 11:21, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
I saw you added yourself to AfC Participants. We're backlogged right now on AFC. Feel free to click "Approve" on some good articles / Deny on others. It's very quick to review. Thanks. Mediation4u (talk) 11:21, 16 August 2011 (UTC) editing is fun

Speedy deletion declined: Web view engine
[edit]Hello SpeakFree. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Web view engine, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: A7 doesn't apply to "tools". PROD or AFD if you wish. Thank you. —GFOLEY FOUR!— 14:08, 21 August 2011 (UTC)
Prince Henry of the Netherlands
[edit]Hi, when you converted Prince Henry of the Netherlands into a disambiguation page, you left behind links that need to be pointed to the correct article per WP:FIXDABLINKS. This tool helps keep things in order and links to Dab Solver, which is a great help. Cheers, --JaGatalk 18:16, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
Small Suggestion ("This user is against strict gun control.")
[edit]On your user page, it says "This user is against strict gun control." and the "strict gun control" clause is in red and bold (maybe because it's a link). I know you just added the Second Amendment box, but it really seems like it says you want strict gun control. Because of the red, bold letters. The "strict gun control" clause should probably just be bold and not red, and the "against" clause should be bold (and red). --82.171.70.54 (talk) 21:56, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
- Well I think it's clear enough although one might overread the "for". I didn't design it, I copied it from someone else's user page and changed the size because the userbox was too big. Don't remember who I copied it from. SpeakFree (talk) 22:33, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
- It's not clear at all... If you writing something in bold and red, you're emphasizing something. It's like you're shouting that part, it is the core of the message you're trying to bring across. QUIT us war, NO to turbines, STOP aid, give PEACE a chance, SEPARATE oil and state. What your banner says is: blah blah blah STRICT GUN CONTROL!!! Well, it doesn't matter whether you copied it or not, it's right here, so you can change it at will. I really don't understand how you could possibly think that it's clear enough. It wasn't to me. Anyways, it was just a suggestion, obviously you're free to keep/change things any way you want. --82.171.70.54 (talk) 13:42, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
- Oh well, wasn't too bothered with it but I changed it so it also emphasizes "against". Hope you like the new version better. SpeakFree (talk) 14:18, 22 September 2011 (UTC)

Royal Navy
[edit]There are only 6 destroyers in active service with the Royal Navy: 3 Type 42s and 3 Type 45s. Someone changed it to 7, probably counting HMS Dragon which is now built but not yet in commission. The tally on the Royal Navy page now fits that of the article I've just linked, which is comprehensively up-to-date (a number of long-time editors, including myself, have maintained it for many years now). As for a reliable source: the Royal Navy's list of ships on its website could be used, but is often out-of-date. I honestly can say that Wikipedia's list (in the article just linked) is the best there is on the internet! Individual ships have their commissioning/decommissioning dates referenced, in their own articles/their class's articles, and cumulatively these form the full list. Sorry to be so long-winded, but I hope you can trust the change... if you need a source then the Royal Navy's public list (on their website) could be used, but for some reason I can't load their website at the moment. And as I've said, it's usually a few months out-of-date! David (talk) 23:42, 12 October 2011 (UTC)
- ok thanks for clearing that up. Indeed future ships shouldn't count. They may not even enter active service. SpeakFree (talk) 23:45, 12 October 2011 (UTC)

The article Paul van Herck has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Are you sure about that? I vaguely remember (it must have been over a decade ago by know I last read this at my local library) that they used to have the same logo as PC Magazine. Also HUB Uitgevers, runs ZDnet.nl, which is the Dutch version of ZDnet.com, which was ran by Ziff Davis, who publish PC Magazine. —Ruud 18:38, 25 November 2011 (UTC)
- Ah, never mind, while typing this I found http://pcmagazine.zdnet.nl/. Is there no relation between the two? —Ruud 18:38, 25 November 2011 (UTC)
- No different publishers. PC Magazine is still available in news stands in the Netherlands the last time I checked (I guess they went online only only in the US), it would be weird if the same publisher sold two magazines with nearly similar names and different logo's. PCM was around over here about 10 years before PC Mag came along (my memory is a bit hazy about that). SpeakFree (talk)(contribs) 18:44, 25 November 2011 (UTC)
- Check the bottom of http://www.zdnet.nl/. It lists both PC Magazine and PCM as HUB's brands. I'm not sure anymore which of the two I used to read though. I guess it's the result of a few takeovers/fusions in the publishing world. —Ruud 18:50, 25 November 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Coconut Grove Night Club Fire.jpg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Coconut Grove Night Club Fire.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Why it is called a life "net"
[edit]I will discuss this issue in the article, which is now under slow construction in a sandbox. Structurally, the device was a net. The opaque cover primarily served a psychological purpose. A net is pretty much transparent from 4 floors up. Untrained people find it almost impossible to jump into one. The cover, and the red bullseye, helped people overcome their fears. The bullseye signaled the importance of trying for the middle. The cover also cushioned a bit and reduced injuries due to body parts getting tangled in the net. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 19:32, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
- Ah thanks for explaining that. Learned something new then. BTW did you see that YouTube video of the guy deliberately falling off a 4 story building in an inflatable cushion to propose to his fiance? [1] Is that equipment used by fire departments as well or only by stunt people? From what I read a life net requires 16 people to hold it which might be a bit cumbersome. SpeakFree (talk)(contribs) 19:45, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
- Fire departments rely now mostly on ladder trucks. The modern ones can reach pretty much as high as the effective limit of the nets, about six floors. However, the crew size is smaller, and it is much safer because the fire fighters can use safety harnesses. Lots if people were injured or killed by falling bodies when using the nets. I have heard of the inflatables, but haven't read a detailed description. They are widely used by movie stunt men, of course. I will look at the video when I'm off work. Cullen328 Let's discuss it
- I have read your Sandbox draft. From the Straight Dope article I can see that Hotel Polen must have been one of the last times life nets were used. Maybe you could find more about when the modern ladder trucks were introduced. SpeakFree (talk)(contribs) 20:22, 16 December 2011 (UTC)

Bed and Breakfast Pension House in Tuguegarao
[edit]Yes there has been a major hotel fire this decade. Click here[3] for one that killed 15 people. At present no article has been written on the topic.
Oh and I reverted your undo of my edit at the Hotel Fires template. Go to the talk page for my explanation.- William 23:15, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
- The idea is only to add mass casualty hotel fires with their own article to the template. So do write an article about that fire and include it. I did e.g. not add every fire mentioned in History of hotel fires in the United States to the template, only the ones which have an article. I responded on the talk page, Rossiya Hotel is just as valid as any other disaster, it's a bit pedantic not to include it. Inclusion will entice people more to create an article about the fire than if it's absent. SpeakFree (talk)(contribs) 23:26, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
- The Rossiya fire isn't valid for inclusion in the template while there still isn't article on it. Aviation disaster templates don't link to airline or airport articles when there isn't a article on the crash itself.(And those articles have two sentence mentions of crashes) That includes some of the biggest crashes in aviation history when the accident occurred. I didn't see the Winecoff article being written lately and am not changing the rules. How I learned of the template is because I have worked on the Roosevelt Hotel Fire.- William 12:00, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
- Ok maybe if I can find the motivation and time I'll write one about the Rossiya fire and maybe one about the more recent fire you mentioned. I assumed you had written the Winecoff hotel article so that was why I was a bit irked about it, sorry for that. SpeakFree (talk)(contribs) 13:14, 21 December 2011 (UTC)

- On a side note, I'm of a mind to nominate the Penhallow Hotel fire article for deletion under WP:NOTNEWS and WP:GNG. The fire is tragic but only resulted in three deaths. Fires with that number death toll is very common.- William 17:20, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
- Yes I was thinking about it as well. The article actually initially said that it was the worst hotel fire in 40 years PERIOD. In the UK they must have been rather lucky with hotel fires (the Worsley Hotel fire, which caused 7 deaths, must have been the worst previously) but it obviously is not true world wide. Regarding the AfD nomination, people can be very pigheaded, my nomination of 2011 Virginia Tech shooting (now renamed to Murder of Deriek Crouse, as it really was just a murder suicide case and not a massacre) resulted in a no-consensus keep, some people thought it was notable just because it took place near the location of the Virginia Tech massacre)
, so good luck with your nomination. I see it already has been nominated by Drmies. SpeakFree (talk)(contribs) 22:04, 21 December 2011 (UTC)- Either somebody else's mind works just like mine(That's a scary thought) or the Penallow Hotel fire being AFD right after I mention it is a crazy coincidence. This talk page can be read by anyone and the nominator probably saw our dialogue. BTW my Dad owned two hotels on Long Island in the 1960's and 1970's. I spent a couple of summers doing jobs around the last hotel Dad owned.
- The Rossiya fire interests me enough to try doing an article on it but I have other works in progress like this[4], an article about a mostly forgotten golf scandal that I got to take off the shelf and complete.
- AFD for deletions for recent aviation disasters see editors come out saying keep for crashes that are going to be forgotten in a few years. Take for instance this[5] a cargo plane crash resulting in five deaths or the Warsaw crash[6]. Deletion was rejected. Both are instances of recentism, cargo plane crashes happen all the time, the Poland crash was a hull loss but as I noted, most hull losses aren't notable. The argument that it was extensively covered in the media is really the video of the landing being played again and again like a broken record. Every Tom, Dick, and non private plane crash turns up with an article now.(Check Aviation Safety Network for how many crashes took place in 1971 and 2011 then look how many in each year has its own article) If not for WP, would any even be remembered in 5 years?- William 23:07, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
- I have been working with Drmies (the AfD nominator) on the DYK nomination for my article Hotel Polen fire (which you
cancould find on the main pagetodayyesterday ^^ ) and I guess he must have read your comments. I created Template:Hotel fires as a result of writing that article and also a few others about hotel fires in the Benelux. I have no connection to the hotel business but I saw the Hotel Polen on fire on television when I was about 10 years old and it fascinated me at the time. I of course wanted to become a fireman ;). I agree about the recentism thing. In decades to come Wikipedia will probably seen as an excellent chronicle for the 2001-20?? era. But Wikipedia shouldn't be a chronicle. If it had been around 30 years ago every short-lived fad of the '80s would probably have had its own article. SpeakFree (talk)(contribs) 00:07, 22 December 2011 (UTC)

DYK for Hotel Polen fire
[edit]On 21 December 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Hotel Polen fire, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Ania Bien's 1986 photographic installation on the Hotel Polen in Amsterdam, which was destroyed in a fire that killed 33 people, included images alluding to the Holocaust? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Hotel Polen fire. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

GAN for Hotel Polen fire
[edit]Hi,
I have reviewed your nomination and made some comments at Talk:Hotel Polen fire/GA1 for you to address. Just little things. Meanwhile, I'll place it on hold for seven days.
Best wishes, MathewTownsend (talk) 00:22, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
- I made a few more minor changes. I am happy if you are. MathewTownsend (talk) 01:58, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, I'm always happy for corrections as English is my second language. :) SpeakFree (talk)(contribs) 02:00, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
L'Auberge (restaurant)
[edit]It is a brilliant, cynical article. Unfortunately, it is also unusable. For the fun: Trouw! Night of the Big Wind talk 02:19, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
- I'll settle for an "amuse" of "uitgedroogde muizenkeutels". Which I will serve to the rat. ;) SpeakFree (talk)(contribs) 02:26, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
- "Warme oesters in hun schelp met een vinaigrette à la rosé"...hmm. Did you see the prices? In guldens! Ach, de goeie ouwe tijd. Drmies (talk) 14:29, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
Night of the Big Wind talk 14:49, 24 December 2011 (UTC)

- A certain someone? Pray tell--maybe they need a note. Oh, and oysters are delicious: maybe you should be sent back to the kitchen. We have Apalachicola oysters here, and they're great, but the best ones I ever ate were in Portland, Oregon--small and delicious (I was on a job visit and blew my budget on an oyster appetizer). Oh, liflafjes: fantastic word, and it pops op in "Origineel Amsterdams." Almost as good as kliekjes. Drmies (talk) 16:40, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
- Maybe. I tend to try something twice, if I do not like it the first time. So, maybe when I deliver you at the Clarinbridge Oysterfestival... What I never tried was Casu marzu. I have seen that cheese move, yuck. I'm not picky, but that was too much for me! Night of the Big Wind talk 23:18, 24 December 2011 (UTC)

It has taken me two weeks of fooling around in my sandbox, but inspired initially by your work at Hotel Polen fire, I've now moved Life net to the main space. I'll keep working on it. Holiday greetings to you. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 17:27, 25 December 2011 (UTC)
