Thank you for the superb and high quality maps you've created. From the US, to Italy , to Australia—your map making skills are highly appreciated and make this site much better. Here's to more fantastic work 🍻! Aficionado538 (talk) 23:27, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Could you fix this image, as it has "2022" at the top. Also, could you remove the parliamentary diagram, as it's unnecessary. Cheers, Number 57 22:20, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No, the chart stays.
But I will renumber. Talleyrand6 (talk) 23:11, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The chart is already in the article in the results table – there's no need to have it twice. There was recently a discussion about infobox maps becoming unnecessarily complex, and this is one of the things that contributes towards that. Please remove it. If it's not removed, then I will remove the maps and replace them with simpler ones like File:Elections federales suisses 2019 Conseil national.svg. Thanks, Number 57 01:29, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, sure, there might be some "discussion" promoting simpler maps (which I've seen absolutely none of, and in fact quite a lot of discussion supporting higher quality maps), but I must say that threatening to replace a pretty nice map all things considered (well, duh, I made it) with a pretty low quality map is certainly a thing one can do. It's quite a comical idea to me, to be honest. I'll concede that the chart is actually quite redundant in the grand scheme of the article, so I'll remove it. Welcome back

[edit]

Saw it on Twitter, congrats. 沁水湾 (talk) 15:10, 19 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome back. Thanks for your recent edit at 2024 British Columbia general election. I am not sure if the party will release riding specific data concerning the 2024 Alberta New Democratic Party leadership election. If so, that might be an article that could use your expertise, should you have the time and interest in the topic. Of course, it is three months away before we will have any results. Anyway, happy editing.--Darryl Kerrigan (talk) 18:20, 19 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Map Style

[edit]

Oh my gosh, I absolutely loved the new U.S. Presidential Election map style you created. It's so good, and I hope others can see what I saw in the style. Thank you so much for sharing!! Lostfan333 (talk) 23:45, 19 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I'll make this brief. As I understand I was placed on thin ice. All of my actions over the last few days have kept that in mind. Nothing that I have done or am suspected of doing has been with the intent of further breaking Wikipedia rules. That said, I want to challenge the block on the grounds that these are unfair assertions. I have not and did not disruptively edit over the course of this conflict. I made one edit this entire time and it was to the 1988 French Legislative Election and I did so fully within my right and fully within Wikipedia guidelines. Secondly, I want to see evidence of me having canvased anyone for their support in any action for the events which took place today or yesterday. If you appeal to my Twitter page, I will report that there has been no canvassing on my part. All of my posts were made in good faith in order to document this dispute on Wikipedia to other users on that website. I ask for due process to know where I went wrong with my documentation and I kindly ask to know on what grounds you you believe that to be canvassing. Again, despite aspirations to my character and my previous ban, I wish to say that nothing was done knowingly in violation of any Wikipedia rules. If they were so, it was without my knowing. Wishing for a swift resolution, yours in editing, Talleyrand6 (talk) 02:28, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I'm referring this block back to ArbCom to investigate the off-wiki harassment and canvassing allegations. – bradv 17:05, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed decision in the Historical elections case posted

[edit]

Hi Talleyrand6, in the open Historical elections arbitration case, a remedy or finding of fact has been proposed which relates to you. Please review this decision and draw the arbitrators' attention to any relevant material or statements. You can bring comments to the attention of the committee by email at arbcom-en@wikimedia.org. (Others may bring comments to the attention of the committee on the proposed decision talk page.) For a guide to the proposed decision, see Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Party Guide/Proposed decision. For the Arbitration Committee, SilverLocust 💬 14:08, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The arbitration case Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Historical elections has now closed, and the final decision is viewable at the link above. The following remedies have been enacted:

  • The results of any national or sub-national election are a Contentious Topic. Starting in 2026 and checked yearly afterwards, this designation expires on 1 January if no sanctions have been logged in the preceding 2 years.
  • The regular posters on X who associate with Election Twitter are reminded that there is no ownership of articles on the English Wikipedia. They are encouraged to seek consensus on the article talk page, use dispute resolution when they encounter disagreements and refrain from off-site coordination.
  • The Arbitration Committee block of Talleyrand6 (talk · contribs) is converted to an indefinite ban from Wikipedia. This ban may be appealed twelve months after the enactment of this remedy, and every twelve months thereafter.
  • Anonymousioss (talk · contribs) is topic banned from national and sub-national elections. This restriction may be appealed twelve months after the enactment of this remedy, and every twelve months thereafter.
