A page you started (Socialist Party of North Carolina) has been reviewed!
[edit]Thanks for creating Socialist Party of North Carolina, TJjeremiah!
Wikipedia editor Boleyn just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:
Thanks for taking the time to create an article. We have many missing topics and many articles which need developing. At the moment, this article has no sources. It's unclear if the 'related' section contains links you're recommending, or links which were used to create this page. Sources should be inline, next to the fact they are verifying. It's also unclear from this article why the NC branch of the party are WP:NOTABLE, rather than a redirect to the parent article.

Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello TJjeremiah, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — CactusWriter (talk) 17:58, 13 August 2017 (UTC)
Massachusetts Political Designations
[edit]I recently authored two new articles (Latino-Vote Party and World Citizens Party) on political designations in Massachusetts and you made links to both of them on a couple of lists, which I thank you for. However, two of your edits added both of the prior mentioned articles to the page List of political parties in the United States. Both of these articles are about political designations, not political parties. In Massachusetts, political designations and political parties are entirely separate entities, and only parties should be listed on that page. Thanks again for adding the links; I just wanted to make sure I informed you of this as I plan on writing more articles on political designations in the state and wish for this not to be an issue in the future.
Thanks! Cran32 (talk) 16:43, 1 September 2017 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:SocialistPartyofNorthCarolinaLogo.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:SocialistPartyofNorthCarolinaLogo.jpg. However, it is currently missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation.
ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 03:00, 10 November 2017 (UTC)

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

See also additions
[edit]Hi. I see you are adding "See alsos" to various political articles. Please make sure to keep such additions relevant. All political parties have something in common, I suppose, but a slim and well-considered See also section is much more useful to the reader. I don't understand why you added Coffee Party USA and Tea Party movement to Indivisible movement, for example. Bishonen | talk 21:47, 5 December 2017 (UTC).
- The things in common between them is their status as political movements that seek to protest within their political parties TJjeremiah (talk) 22:00, 5 December 2017 (UTC)
- Well, I think that's a weak reason, which does little for the reader. But I'll leave it to you. Bishonen | talk 22:13, 5 December 2017 (UTC).
