You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, The abolition of the Fatimid Caliphate by Saladin. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Saladin in Egypt. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Saladin in Egypt. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 13:31, 25 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Major Sunni–Shia Conflicts (1169-Present). Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. asilvering (talk) 00:55, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Well I did delete Major Sunni–Shia Conflicts (1169-Present) in article pages but I’m still going to keep my article I will not delete it Stickyrainbow (talk) 01:02, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Stickyrainbow, you're not the one who will decide that. The participants in the AfD will decide that. You're welcome to join us at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Major Sunni-Shia Conflicts (7th Century-Present). In the meantime, please stop moving the article, since that is disrupting this process. -- asilvering (talk) 01:14, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ok but my article is informative isn't it? Stickyrainbow (talk) 01:23, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, not sufficiently. Editors in the AfD discussion are concerned about the lack of sources for an article in a contentious topic area. -- asilvering (talk) 01:26, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ok but do you think my article is useless…or no? Stickyrainbow (talk) 01:31, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Useless isn't the right word. At this time, it does not meet the standards to be published on Wikipedia. Find sources to support the contents of the article, then you can resubmit it to WP:AFC. Ktkvtsh (talk) 01:33, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Robert McClenon (talk) 23:52, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

what is the reason ? Stickyrainbow (talk) 23:55, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The reasons for deletion of an article are stated in the Articles for Deletion discussion. Robert McClenon (talk) 00:24, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Stickyrainbow, are you using AI to help you write these articles? Like ChatGPT or Claude? -- asilvering (talk) 00:45, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I use chat GPT Stickyrainbow (talk) 01:06, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Why it’s not allowed? Stickyrainbow (talk) 01:07, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also before deleting my article I can write by my self is that ok? Stickyrainbow (talk) 01:08, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, please write your articles by yourself, starting from sources that you have researched yourself. Have a look at WP:FIRST for instructions. ChatGPT isn't smart; it's just making up what it "thinks" you want to hear. It can introduce all kinds of errors, since it's basically just generating a sequence of words based on how frequently those words are used in sequence. That's no good, since one of our core policies is verifiability. -- asilvering (talk) 03:37, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Can I use google.com.books.kw as references? Stickyrainbow (talk) 16:43, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You can use books as references, yes, and it doesn't matter where you get the books from, in that case. There's a much more detailed explanation of what makes a source acceptable at WP:RS. -- asilvering (talk) 16:47, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Stickyrainbow, may I move Safavid–Aq Qoyunlu Wars back to draftspace? Since it is an unverified AI creation, it should not be in main article space right now. -- asilvering (talk) 16:50, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
please remove article for deletion message I just edited the article Stickyrainbow (talk) 17:42, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Feel free to participate in the deletion discussion, but a user (even our latest admin) can't unilaterally undo the article for deletion process! Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 17:46, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In this case, the deletion process hasn't begun - but @Stickyrainbow, I'm going to have to begin it, unless you explicitly agree to have this one moved to draft? I can't move it back to draftspace unilaterally, since it's already been draftified once before and you've objected to that. But it is very important that all mainspace wikipedia content be based on reliable sources, so this chatGPT creation can't stay there. I'd rather move it to draft for you than have it deleted outright, but I won't do that if you're not ok with having it moved back to draftspace. -- asilvering (talk) 19:21, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I thought the AfD message they referred to was the one at Safavid Capture of Mesopotamia (1623-1624), but yeah. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 20:24, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, you're probably right. I was confused because they replied to my question about draftification. -- asilvering (talk) 22:22, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Wait if you moved my article to draft and I add lede section will it be accepted? Stickyrainbow (talk) 23:55, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No. In order for the article to be accepted, it will need to be notable and verifiable. -- asilvering (talk) 01:54, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Wait my article is still not verified ? Stickyrainbow (talk) 02:51, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No. A verifiable article is one that has been written based on WP:RS. Please have a look at WP:FIRST and WP:BACKWARDS. -- asilvering (talk) 16:19, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. asilvering (talk) 02:15, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not move pages while they are the subject of deletion discussions. Thank you. -- asilvering (talk) 02:15, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
even my comments? Stickyrainbow (talk) 02:28, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's fine to comment on AfDs. What you cannot do is move the article while it is under discussion there, like you did with Safavid-Aq Qoyunlu Wars. This makes it very difficult for editors to follow along with the deletion discussion. -- asilvering (talk) 02:32, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I only removed my comment is that still not allowed ? Stickyrainbow (talk) 02:40, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Generally, it's better to leave earlier comments where they are, and to use <s> </s> around your old comment if you want to indicate that you no longer agree with it. This makes it less confusing for others to follow along with the discussion later. In this case, you reverted your comment basically right after publishing it in the first place. That's fine, though if you get into the habit of doing this you might want to give yourself more time to think before posting comments. -- asilvering (talk) 16:17, 7 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Safavid Capture of Mesopotamia (1623-1624), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ottoman. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

A tag has been placed on Draft:Safavid Capture of Mesopotamia (1623-1624) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Safavid Capture of Mesopotamia (1623-1624). When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay.
