The Cure discography

Hi, I've noticed that you have added some more Australian chart positions and have cited Australian Chart Books 1940-2005. Is this more than one book? If so, can you specifically add which one covers which chart positions. It would also be useful if you could add the publisher, publisher's location and ISBN(s) to the reference as well. It's not personal preference, though. It's English grammar. Even though, people make it personal preference when they add it. To make sure, I Google'd it and the sentence comes first with the punctuation in, then you add the speech marks after. It's got nothing to do with if the page is readable either way. Just thought I'd clear this up. And oh, I didn't know other Mimi pages were like it, I'm not a frequent music editor any more, it's too much work for me to go through all her pages and sort it. Plus I'm semi-retired now. PS. Consistency only matters in an article, not every article by an artist. Jayy008 (talk) 15:35, 16 November 2010 (UTC)

Updating chart peaks

Hi there! Just a polite reminder when updating chart peaks, which I've seen you done recently: don't forget to update access dates, as well. It may not seem like a big deal, but it's clearly incorrect to leave the reference as is for verification purposes, like was done when I updated the page for the discography of the Glee Cast. Well, it's actually 11 characters more, but the main reason for not redirecting is that one day someone might create the Australian Singles Chart article. Inevitably, we will want all of these occurences to point to this article, and it will be a hughe pain in the backside to fix all of these wrong links. Sorry for the confusion, I provided an explanation at at 110.33.254.64's talk page yesterday, but I really should have included it on the discography's talk page. Anyway, this is what I said: The album column in the the singles table is excluded for accessibility reasons. Ideally tables on Wikipedia should not reach the far right side of the screen to accommodate readers who have smaller screen resolutions (see Wikipedia:Manual of Style (accessibility)#Resolution). Because MCR albums and songs tend to have long names, they take up a lot of space. A singles table with both long song and album names would take up the whole horizontal length of most medium sized screens, which creates accessibility issues for readers with smaller screens. To shorten the horizontal length of the singles table, the album column has been removed because it is the most expendable. – Zntrip 18:44, 12 June 2011 (UTC)

If you want to add them to discographies, please wait until they are archived in the Pandora archives (see WP:GOODCHARTS for links and explanations). You Have Been Loved

Just noticed you were updating the Michael's singles discography recently. I don't mind myself the best quality of the GM article. Anyway, there is no information confirming that "You Have Been Loved" was released as double-A single along with "Strangest Thing" in its lead. Secondly, You Have Been Loved release is very likely an extended play that features four different songs in total. Ie. there is no reason to title it as ""You Have Been Loved" / "The Strangest Thing '97" (its cover also doesn't confirm this speculation). And for your comment left in the template: The '97' in "The Strangest Thing" differentiates it from the standard album version on Older. There's a reason why it's included. - Apart from rare cases (which were originally 7" vinyl singles), actually all singles releases include different than their album's version(s). Not mentioning that "Strangest Thing" was not previously released on single, and for that reason the "97"-note in its title is more optional than ordinary. Whatever makes you happy, anyway.
