This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. College team lists
[edit]Hello. Thanks for helping with the boxes of sports teams for a school. There are a couple of problems with your edits, though:
- Please keep in mind of caps... Cross Country should be Cross country and same goes for others sports with two+ words
- Please add † new to track and field and then put the following text at the bottom of the box:
| colspan="2" style="{{NCAA secondary color cell|team name}}" | {{small|† – Track and field includes both indoor and outdoor.}}
- Please make sure you are spelling the team names correctly (easiest way is to copy & paste the article name)
Thanks, Corkythehornetfan (ping me) 18:01, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
- If you can't follow the rules, please stop. These are rules from a consensus. Further disruption of not following the above will result in administrator action. Corkythehornetfan (ping me) 23:30, 16 September 2017 (UTC)
- Another thing, If you are going to add ==Teams== above the box, please put a third equals sign for the individual sports sections, as I've done after you've edited the pages. Also, see how I changed the Xavier Musketeers page... articles that are short like that need to be centered and not on the right. Thanks, Corkythehornetfan (ping me) 01:45, 21 September 2017 (UTC)

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Walter Harrison (university administrator), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Trinity College (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). The article 2018–19 Central Connecticut Blue Devils women's basketball team has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
This doesn't look independently notable. If the intention is to try to create articles for all of the red links in the template below, please reconsider.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — Insertcleverphrasehere (or here) 05:43, 4 September 2018 (UTC)

June 2023
[edit]Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Enfield High School, did not appear to be constructive and have been corrected. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. I appreciate that you are trying to update the attendance, but you are still not doing it properly. You did not update the ratio and the number of teachers, and you broke the reference by updating he ref access date but leaving an incorrect archive. If you don't understand what you are doing wrong, please ask, because I'm getting very tired of having to check all of your edits Meters (talk) 17:42, 11 June 2023 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Hartford Hawks America East Tournament Champions.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Hartford Hawks America East Tournament Champions.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:12, 2 April 2024 (UTC)

You've been asked before - please use an edit summary
[edit]Again, please provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
- User contributions
- Recent changes
- Watchlists
- Revision differences
- IRC channels
- Related changes
- New pages list
- Article editing history
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary.
If you've forgotten: When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
Many who are ignorant of edit summaries fail to add them, but you have been informed and asked to add them in 2017 and 2019. Failure seems arrogant and inconsiderate specially since they are so easy to add. Thank you for your consideration. Quaerens-veritatem (talk) 02:32, 18 July 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Greenwich Public Schools, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Jessicapierce (talk) 06:02, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
- To be more clear, because on reviewing a few of your recent edits, I'm seeing the same issue over and over... Wikipedia uses sentence case. That means your headers should look like "High schools," not "High Schools." Please review MOS:SECTIONCAPS. Thank you, Jessicapierce (talk) 06:05, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Jessicapierce (talk) 06:02, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
Replaceable non-free use File:Original Hllyer Hall.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Original Hllyer Hall.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fma12 (talk) 20:10, 25 December 2024 (UTC)
