Hi, I’m not really sure what I need to do to remove these notifications. Do I just remove them and put a reason why they have been removed? Regards, Steve. Spifflepoos (talk) 15:54, 11 April 2020 (UTC)
- Greetings - biographies such as the one you created and edited require reliable sources (see WP:BLP, WP:RS), not sure that the references given fully meet that. Also, might be good to have another editor or more (besides us) review the article to see if sourcing can be improved. Dl2000 (talk) 00:54, 12 April 2020 (UTC)

Deletion.
[edit]Hi, I am currently editing a page for Charlie Powell (presenter) and it has been nominated for speedy deletion. It is a work in progress and shouldn’t actually be published yet.

Charlie Powell (radio presenter) moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Charlie Powell (radio presenter), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Speedy deletion nomination of Charlie Powell (DJ)
[edit]Hello, Spifflepoos,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Cremastra and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, Charlie Powell (DJ), for deletion, because a consensus decision previously decided that it wasn't suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. If you wish to restore a page deleted via a deletion discussion, please use the deletion review process instead, rather than reposting the content of the page.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.
For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Cremastra}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

Advice
[edit]Hello, Spifflepoos,
As I can see by your talk page, you are determined to write an article about Charlie Powell and have been unsuccessful.
If you want to continue as an editor on Wikipedia, and I hope you decide to, I think you should move on to find other articles to write or, even better, spend your time improving existing articles. Wikipedia has a constant need for the talents and time of volunteer editors and there is no shortage of tasks you could help with that give a lot of satisfaction.
If you have any questions about editing on the project or policies and guidelines on Wikipedia, I encourage you to bring them to the Teahouse where experienced editors can offer you support and advice. Good luck! Liz Read! Talk! 03:04, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
