Final draft of High Kings of Tara.
Dear 'Smileguy91',
I hope you are keeping well, and that I may impose on you once more, please?
I have now completed the current draft of the subject album, but since it is my first compilation album, I'd really appreciate it if you would review it and let me know if you think it's ready to be created in the main.
There are three areas where this draft article currently differs from other regular album articles:
- the original vinyl LP (which I have in my collection) does not publish the duration of each track; so, I could not include these in the 'Track list' section, nor complete the album's total 'Length =' tag in the Infobox.
- Similarly, there are no copyright credits on any of the tracks, from either the sleeve notes or the round label stuck at the centre of the vinyl disc itself (where they were often printed).
- I did not provide a 'Personnel' section, because each track has a different set of musicians, this being a compilation album for 'Various artists'. I considered it, but then such a section would be longer than usual, with a numbered list itemizing each track and its featured musicians. However, it would not be difficult for me to include such a section, since the sleeve notes provided those details. I did not include it in the current draft in order to save unnecessary work, but will be very happy to add it if you thought it would be required, or even beneficial.
Thank you, in anticipation, for your advice in this latest case.
If you thought it was ready to fly as-is, then I'd create the article with the following title:
- High Kings of Tara – Created at 23:58, 12 March 2015 (UTC). Done
As ever, very many thanks for your assistance!
With kind regards;
Patrick.ツ Pdebee.(talk) 23:01, 11 March 2015 (UTC)
- It looks good, and satisfies notability guidelines! However, just to 100% ensure that nobody will tag it for deletion, can you find any more readily-accessible internet sources for reference? Thanks. smileguy91Need to talk? 23:11, 11 March 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you for your prompt reply. I have now added three more internet sources to the 'External links' section; the one from 'The Balladeers' website was particularly complete; so, I inserted that one at the top of the list. What do you think?
- With kind regards;
Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk) 23:48, 11 March 2015 (UTC)- You should be good to go! It looks good to me smileguy91Need to talk? 23:49, 11 March 2015 (UTC)
- Great! Thanks a lot for your guidance. Will you approve it if I launch it in the next few minutes, please?
- So, in the immortal words of Daffy Duck, here we go: "Yikes and awaaaay!"
- With kind regards;
Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk) 23:55, 11 March 2015 (UTC)- I will if it still fits the criteria and you haven't changed it ;) smileguy91Need to talk? 23:56, 11 March 2015 (UTC)
- Haha! . Seriously, though: it's good to be able to have you validate a 'first-of', just to make sure I get that initial one right. Please rest assured that I am not going to ask you for every album: once I get a 'first-of' under my belt, I'll be confident about subsequent ones.
In any case, many thanks for your prompt action. - Keep well & happy, and thank you once again for being there.
- With kind regards;
Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk) 00:16, 12 March 2015 (UTC)- I apologize for my late response. You are certainly welcome. Smileguy91Spread the knowledge! 22:33, 18 March 2015 (UTC)

Hi Smileguy91 thanks for helping by patrolling new pages. If the subject of a new article is clearly not notable please consider for speedy deletion rather than going to AfD. Let me know if you need a hand with anything, cheers Flat Out let's discuss it 00:37, 12 March 2015 (UTC)

Help
Dear Smileguy91,
I write this new section with the purpose of asking for help on a problem with the spanish version of Wikipedia. I edited and adapted a spanish version of the article https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Canovu and an anonymous user (IP) marked it for deletion. Please, would it be possible for you to check it (although it's a different language) as it is really similar to the english version and under my humble opinion, encyclopedic. Spanish version: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canovu
Once more, Infinite thanks, Truesc (talk) 22:01, 18 March 2015 (UTC)
- I sincerely apologize for not getting in touch with you sooner, as it appears that the page has been deleted. However, my user rights only apply to this language, so I cannot review Spanish-language articles. Smileguy91Spread the knowledge! 22:06, 18 March 2015 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 19
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 24th National Geographic Bee, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page St. Joseph Catholic School. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

- You need to provide valid sources that support the article subject's notability. Smileguy91Spread the knowledge! 01:23, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
- Non-notability is not a grounds for speedy deletion. CSD A1 is only for articles whose subject cannot be identified. In this case the IDMB page cited in the article makes it very clear who the article is about. I was about to decline your nomination but another user got there first. James500 (talk) 02:41, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
- I respectfully disagree. You can't expect people who are looking at the page to check all of the sources to know that the subject is notable. Smileguy91Spread the knowledge! 04:02, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
- (1) WP:BEFORE generally requires editors to do exactly that in order to determine notability. (2) CSD A1 has nothing to do with notability. (3) CSD A1 says "If any information in the title or on the page, including links, allows an editor, possibly with the aid of a web search, to find further information on the subject in an attempt to expand or edit it, there is enough context that A1 is not appropriate" (my emphasis). The appearance of the words "including links" indicates that such sources must generally be looked at. (4) There are good reasons for this approach. Erroneous nominations don't just waste the time of the editors who have to decline them; they may actually cause new editors to leave the project permanently. James500 (talk) 12:39, 20 March 2015 (UTC)

Question about speedy deletion
{{help}}
Hi!
I am in the process of uploading my wiki article https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Magnesium_Ions_in_DNA_Polymerase:_Two-Metal_Ion_Mechanism, and I read that it is subject to speedy deletion. How may I change it so that the article will be fine? I need to upload this as it is a requirement for my college chemistry class final project.
Thanks!

Deletion of page "SRB2"
So you got a page about an actually very well known fangame deleted because of "lack of notability", yet, you create articles like this. Some random guy that no one knows/cares about. There were literally 3 results about him on google, including 2 wikipedia articles. Lack of notability my ***, You just went full autism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.250.146.122 (talk) 16:55, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
- Diplomats are notable according to Wikipedia policy, as they play a vital role in international communications. SRB2, a Sonic the Hedgehog game created by fans, had no assertion of notability. The only source was the website of the game itself. See WP:NOTABILITY. smileguy91talk - contribs 17:07, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
Press. even if its on the site for the game, it still shows that it HAS been shown in magazines. Also, even if the game isn't talked much about outside the community, it's community is still active, and Many (alteast 20 usually) multiplayer servers can be found during the day. Theres even a fan forum for the game. The SRB2 Skybase.

Hi from SF City FC
Hey Smile guy,
This is Charles from SF City FC, thanks for looking after us and helping set things up. Just looking to get started on here, I'm reading and saturating myself on how to start a page.
Thanks,
Charles — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sfcityfc (talk • contribs) 00:04, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
- Hello Charles, my speedy deletion was declined, as shown below. But your article still needs references in order to become encyclopedic. Hope this helps! Sincerely, Smileguy91Spread the knowledge! 00:07, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
Just to let you know, I've declined your speedy deletion of San Francisco City FC. Although they probably don't meet general notability guidelines, WP:FOOTYN says that all teams playing in a country's national cup are automatically notable enough for Wikipedia. Therefore, as San Francisco City FC are in the 2015 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup (the US national Cup), they are automatically notable enough. Joseph2302 (talk) 00:06, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
Boggi Milano
I posted the article and after 2 seconds, I was ready to be deleted. It's really a race!, This is a brand that I didn't know and I've seen a store and wanted to give the opportunity to everyone to learn about the history of the brand. I'm not interested in anything else. No promotion. I refuse your request for speedy deletion.Roberto73c (talk) 00:48, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
- Speedy was declined, however, improve the article as indicated by decliner. smileguy91talk - contribs 13:50, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
Why this "Mohiuddin Nawab" article is put under deletion ?
Please guide me why this article is put under deletion while all the reliable sources are given. (Black jack2015 (talk) 11:52, 26 March 2015 and how can i improve this article(Black jack2015 (talk) 11:54, 26 March 2015 (UTC)).
- The only sources in the article were those published by the subject of the biography himself. This is unencyclopedic by Wikipedia standards, and it appears that the community consensus is that the article should be deleted. You can view the discussion here. However, you can help improve the article and possibly have it included if you include a statement of notability and include credible, secondary sources that support this.smileguy91talk - contribs 13:48, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

Cross-linguistic linked data project-article
Hiya. I created an article today about the cross-linguistic linked data project because I think it is relevant since it covers several interesting database that are frequently quoted on wikipedia, like glottolog and wals. There is not that much more to say about it than what they have already written on their website, so I didn't change their phrasing much.
I don't think it will improve the article if I move around words to make the sentences different from the source, nor do I believe that this is a relevant topic for copyright infringement.
What would you prefer that I do?
