The article Gunnar Martens has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Removing AfD template
Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with CallingTab. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Speedy deletion nomination of User talk:Jimbo4guns
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User talk:Jimbo4guns, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be a clear copyright infringement of http://www.barska.com/about.html. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.
- It appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free Web hosting service. (See section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion.)
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hey, thank you so much for welcoming me!
I'm actually just trying to figure out how to make pages right now, and I realized I messed up. lol I was wondering if it was at all possible to delete my page and then hopefully I could give it another go tomorrow. Not sure if you'd be able to help me there, but I figured I might as well try asking! :) Kiara Crispin (talk) 03:02, 26 February 2015 (UTC)Kiara Crispin
- Kiara, I totally understand the pain of having your articles deleted. I was a new article creator at one point, and I created many articles that later got deleted and/or redirected due to notability issues. But if articles do not conform to our policies, we must nominate and then delete them under the WP:CSD guidelines. In many cases, however, since your article has already been deleted, you will most likely have to rewrite the article. You can, technically, request undeletion via Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion, but it may take a long while for your application to be processed, and since the article was most likely deleted for lack of notability, it is unlikely that it will be retrieved. However, this is not by any means a sign that your article will never be accepted. If you read the guidelines outlined at Wikipedia:Your first article, you should be good to go for a solid article that will be approved by the new pages patrollers! I sincerely hope I helped you. If you have any more questions, please feel free to contact me or some of the great administrators here at Wikipedia. smileguy91talk 03:10, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
Def Leppard World tour
Hey there. I see you marked the Def Leppard World Tour 2015 for merging. I am working on filling it out, and should get it up and running a complete page by this weekend. If I get the complete dates list in a table and some more info for it, will you consider removing it from consideration to merge? Thanks, and happy editing! — DLManiac (talk) 06:56, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
- Hello. I can remove the merging notice, but not the XFD notice. The XFD notice, however, with the current state of the page, should be promptly removed after a discussion. smileguy91talk 22:42, 26 February 2015 (UTC)

'Changing Trains'
Dear 'Smileguy91',
You decided to tag the subject article for speedy deletion, minutes after I created it. I have therefore updated its talk page with the explanation you sought.
By the way, you curated Live from the Powerhouse 22 hours ago, for which my thanks; that album is also by the same band and you did not tag it for speedy deletion yesterday.
As I suggested in my argumentation against speedy deletion, I could easily create an article about the band if that seems to be the main objection against the creation of these articles.
I look forward to receiving your considered response at your earliest convenience: it's approaching midnight here in the UK and I am prepared to stay up to create a new article about the band if that is what you wish.
Thank you for your consideration;
With kind regards;
Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk) 23:54, 27 February 2015 (UTC)
- Hello Patrick, I must say that this is a dilemma for me as a new pages patroller. However, by a strict definition of WP:MUSIC, the article that I curated yesterday should have been marked for deletion due to notability. I must have overlooked that article. I will not mark it, though, because no other NP patroller has done so since. smileguy91Need to talk? 23:58, 27 February 2015 (UTC)
- @Smileguy91: Dear Smileguy91,
- Thank you for your prompt reply. So, where do we go from here, please?
- Since both albums are from the same band, and the main issue seems to be that there isn't an existing article about the band itself, do you wish for me to create one such? You see, I am quite confident that the notability of Andy Irvine and Dónal Lunny will suffice to comply with the notability requirement, because of their status as founding members of Planxty, along with Christy Moore and Liam O'Flynn.
- As I said above: I am happy to create an article for Andy Irvine & Dónal Lunny's Mozaik right now. However, I need to know what your clear position is.
- Thank you for your continued assistance with this.
- With kind regards;
- Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk) 00:09, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
- Patrick, yes, that must be done, since musical recordings without an artist page are considered unworthy of addition to the wiki. I apologize if I offended you by marking pages for deletion, but I am simply a policy enforcer, and that is my job here at NPP. To strengthen your articles' notability position, can you please add more references and citations that reference the songs/albums/bands? This will help reduce the chance of deletion by an administrator. smileguy91Need to talk? 00:14, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
- @Smileguy91: Dear Smileguy91,
- Please know that you have not offended me in the least: I have remained focused on the main issue at hand simply because of the urgency implied in the term 'speedy deletion', and I am grateful to you for responding promptly to my requests for clarification, since I now know what you wish for me to do. By the way, I think the function you perform is very important in maintaining the integrity of our encyclopedia and I fully support your efforts.
- As a result of your latest advice, I will now take immediate action and create the missing article about Andy Irvine & Dónal Lunny's Mozaik; and, as you requested, I will also be sure to highlight the evidence required to satisfy the requirement of notability.
- Thank you for your helpful assistance in resolving this matter.
- With kind regards;
- Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk) 00:28, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
- Patrick, the word speedy deletion is only used to refer to the fact that CSD-tagged articles may be deleted by administrators without community consensus. And no problem! You may contact me any time you wish for assistance. I'm at your service! smileguy91Need to talk? 00:31, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
- @Smileguy91: Dear Smileguy91,
- Thank you; I like fixing issues promptly and I am grateful for your assistance.
- Once I have finalized the new article (in about an hour or so), I'll ping you again and would appreciate your continued support to resolve this issue today: my goal is to be successful in convincing you to lift the 'speedy deletion' tag in the nearest possible future. Thank you for supporting me in that endeavor.
- With kind regards for now;
- Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk) 00:44, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
- @Smileguy91: Dear Smileguy91,
- Just to confirm that I have now created the following page for the band, as agreed: Andy Irvine & Dónal Lunny's Mozaik.
- It's now 4:45am(!) here in the UK and, although it's taken me longer than expected, I am pleased with the current version. Over time, I can beef up the 'History' section some more, but, for now, I'd like to think that a reviewer intent on following up on all the references I added would find they all lead to solid evidence of the band's notability. I have even added links to the fRoots website, where the magazine issues can be verified for the interviews I added as citations.
- Therefore, I am hopeful that the 'speedy deletion' tag will be removed before too long from the Changing Trains article.
- Thank you once again for your assistance; I am glad we've done this.
- With kind regards;
- Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk) 04:50, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
- Another user has already removed the speedy tag from that article. And I have approved your new article, so it would stay on the wiki for years to come! It's 1:23am here in Fort Worth, Texas, so goodnight! smileguy91Need to talk? 07:23, 28 February 2015 (UTC)

@Smileguy91:
Dear Smileguy91,
Thank you for the good news; I am very pleased that we were able to move this forward quickly and in a constructive way.
Thanks to you, I have also learnt that a specific collaboration between notable musicians must also have its own separate article, prior to creating articles about albums produced by such a collaboration. I had assumed that, since Irvine, Lunny and Molsky are already notable, it was OK to create articles about any album they made together. I can now see the logic of needing to create an article about each separate band any notable artist might create, before creating articles for albums released by each discrete band. So, thank you once again for your guidance here.
With kind regards;
Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk) 13:51, 28 February 2015 (UTC)

Hello, I apologize. I probably made a mistake in tagging. - Hello, your article was deleted because it was a direct copy from a page on LinkedIn, and that the person who was the subject of the article did not satisfy WP:A7, which means that the person was not considered notable enough to be on the encyclopedia. However, if you can prove from third-party, reliable sources that are not associated with the person itself that the subject is notable, then you can help reinforce your notability position. smileguy91Need to talk? 16:34, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
The Saudi GOVERNMENT is notable
I'm sorry,, it just is. The new replacement of the national security council, a vital part of the king's government reorganization is extremely important, and as I had only saved it for a moment because I wanted to find the link for it's original membership. Ericl (talk) 16:51, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
- The Saudi government is notable, but the article will be nominated for deletion unless you provide references or sources about your article's subject. We cannot have subjective opinions about article deletion, we must be objective at new pages patrol. Just because our common sense tells us that a subject is notable doesn't mean it is, policy-wise. smileguy91Need to talk? 16:55, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
- but you could have just waited five minutes while I supplied it. So can I take down the speedy delition thing?Ericl (talk) 17:16, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
- You may need to clean up your article following WP:MOS and add more references, since just one source isn't enough for a good Wikipedia article. Speedy deletion tags cannot be removed, but an administrator will remove it him/herself if he or she deems the article to be good. smileguy91Need to talk? 17:25, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
- So what about the links I've made? This "non-notable" organization is central to the New Saudi government set up, and is attached to several articles on many of it's members. If someone deletes it, do I have to start all over again?Ericl (talk) 17:38, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
- I suppose it could be considered notable now, even though it has only one source. And remember, WP:A7 does not necessarily state that the topic is not notable. It says "This page may meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion as an article about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organized event that does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject." This means that there are no sources available that prove the notability of the organization. The page, at the time that it was tagged, did not have verifiable sources to prove the notability claim asserted in the article. smileguy91Need to talk? 17:42, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
- At the time it was tagged, it had one sentence and no references at all, as it was about twenty seconds old. You could of at least waited until maybe half an hour when it would have resembled something. Right now, the tag is big and ugly.Ericl (talk) 18:05, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
- Well, actually, it was four minutes old according to the page history. And you already made three edits to the page before then. smileguy91Need to talk? 18:08, 28 February 2015 (UTC)

Please inform me why YOU deleted TriplePundit. It did not violate rules. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marissaluv009 (talk • contribs) 18:01, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
- Actually, I did not delete it. I simply marked it for deletion. As shown here, Acroterion deleted it, since he is an administrator and has the right to do so. And yes, it did fall under deletion policy via WP:G10, which meant that it was a biased article. Even though there were multiple sources, the only sources with content relating to the subject were that published by the subject itself, and the other source pages referenced did not mention the subject at all. smileguy91Need to talk? 18:05, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
Wrong editor
I noticed https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3AManish.k.raichand&action=historysubmit&diff=649379508&oldid=594826407 where you say you reverted an editor for unconstructive editing. The editor in question was blocked in 2013 for WP:COMPETENCE, so I wonder if you got the wrong person somehow? Pinkbeast (talk) 18:40, 4 March 2015 (UTC)
- Probably, though I'm really not sure how that could have happened. smileguy91Need to talk? 21:45, 4 March 2015 (UTC)

More albums by Andy Irvine. ;-)
Dear 'Smileguy91',
Thank you for your recent offer of service; in fact, I'd like to take you up on it.
When you have the time, please would you review the following three new articles I created recently, and consider approving them if they meet the required WP guidelines? Thank you in advance for your consideration.
- Andy Irvine/Paul Brady (album) – Created on 25 February.
- Andy Irvine/70th Birthday Concert at Vicar St 2012 – Created on 1 March.
- Rude Awakening (Andy Irvine album) – Created on 3 March.
A few other articles I created recently have already been approved; so, your support for these three would bring us up to date. Many thanks!
With kind regards;

And another album, please. ;-)
Dear 'Smileguy91',
I hope you are keeping well? Here's another one for you to review, please, but I haven't created the article yet, because I wanted to seek your advice first.
This album was recorded by two individual artists (Dick Gaughan and Andy Irvine), who came together in 1981 for a one-off recording but then never recorded together again, nor have they ever performed this album live as a duo (strangely enough). Therefore, unlike our recent experience with Mozaik (who are an on-going—if occasional!—band), I didn't think this specific article on an album needed to be dependent on a prior article about this one-off association of two soloists.
In other words, wouldn't it be a bit strange to have to create a separate article just for a brief association that was never repeated? After all, there is already an article for each of these two notable musicians.
Thank you for your advice in this case.
However, if you're OK with this album article going ahead as it is, I would name it as follows (because there is already Blondie's Parallel Lines):
- Parallel Lines (Dick Gaughan & Andy Irvine album) – Created at 16:14, 9 March 2015 (UTC). Done
Many thanks for your helpful advice!

- Personally, I agree with you, that this article does not warrant another article on its creators. You should be fine with just creating that page and putting it in mainspace. I just took a look at your contributions, and the fact that you have twice as many contributions as I makes me think that I should be the one asking advice from you! ;) smileguy91Need to talk? 15:47, 9 March 2015 (UTC)
- @Smileguy91: Wonderful! Thank you very much for your helpful advice, as I now feel empowered to create the article, which I will do within the next few minutes; many thanks for authorizing it yourself, if you're still online.
Thank you also for your very kind compliment!
Seriously though, I think it is excellent that some editors, such as yourself, also adopt these specialist roles.
So, a big thank you also for all you're doing in support of our encyclopaedia and your fellow editors.

Article about Mirek Bodnar
Dear Smileguy91,
I've recently created an English variant of the Wikipedia article about Mirek Bodnar. I received a notification to add reliable sources. I added a few of them. Could you please check if they are acceptable and confirm that the article will not be deleted? Thank you in advance!
