Caption punctuation

[edit]

Hi, just a brief note to let you know how captions are punctuated: if they are full sentences, we end them with ".", and if they aren't, we don't! Chiswick Chap (talk) 08:15, 20 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. A tag has been placed on Marie Lozano requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. --Animalparty! 2020 television season categories

[edit]

As should be obvious from the text in {{Year nationality television seasons category}}, the 2020 television season categories are for "television seasons that have aired at least one episode in the year 2020" (note the use of past tense!). Until such time as episodes have aired in 2020, articles should not be added to 2020 categories. Articles should not be added just because it is now 2020 as the articles do not fit the inclusion criteria. --AussieLegend () 15:51, 1 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:2020 Philippine television series endings requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

edit summaries

[edit]

Hey, Sea29! I see you're having some conflict with other editors about your lack of use of edit summaries.

First, I want to make sure you understand why edit summaries are so important. When someone makes an edit and doesn't leave an edit summary, multiple editors who have that article on their watchlist will probably feel they have to look at the diff. This means multiple editors are wasting time checking a good edit when they didn't have to. Our volunteers' time is our most precious resource. And sometimes and edit is confusing -- when that happens, you might find yourself reverted by someone who didn't understand what you did and thought you were doing something destructive. Again, it wastes not only your time but the other editor's, and your edit might have been an improvement. A lot of people have asked you to start doing this; that's a time waster, too, having all these people come in here and ask you to do that. At some point this kind of time-wasting may be considered disruptive editing.

Second, did you know there's a handy gadget that can remind you to leave a summary when you forget? I keep it turned on all the time, even though I have a firm habit. It's at Preferences>Editing>Editor.

It doesn't look like you've ever edited this page, nor possibly any other talk page except through a page move? I'd appreciate it if you'd respond to this post. Unwillingness to discuss is also considered disruptive. —valereee (talk) 13:07, 4 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the correction

Hey, thanks for correcting the premiere date of Magandang Gabi... Bayan! I was a bit lost trying to look for its source because the date was off by one day, and I was about to correct it myself just now with a reference from the Manila Standard, but then I was surprised to see that the error has already been fixed. The Voice Israel (season 5) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, The Voice Israel (season 5), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Not using the edit summary

[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account, you can give yourself a reminder by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary (or the default undo summary), and then click the "Save" button.
