Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! [edit]Hello, Scottwilliam2609. This is your user talk page; the purpose of this page is for notification and communication with other Wikipedia editors. It is not a workspace for articles in progress or self-promotion. Please use your user sandbox or the draft article space to practice editing or create new articles. Thank you. SunTec Group moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to SunTec Group. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it is promotional and reads like an advertisement and you may have a possible Conflict of Interest. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. – robertsky (talk) 17:30, 1 July 2023 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Scottwilliam2609. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Draft:SunTec Group, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. – robertsky (talk) 17:31, 1 July 2023 (UTC)
Paid editing
[edit]Hello Scottwilliam2609. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to SunTec Group, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Scottwilliam2609. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Scottwilliam2609|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 2A00:23EE:16A8:C58:6836:22FF:FE30:62BD (talk) 07:51, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
Nomination of SunTec Group for deletion
[edit]The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/SunTec Group until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article until the discussion has finished.

[edit] As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Scottwilliam2609, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Scottwilliam2609|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. 331dot (talk) 09:18, 3 August 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have a financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:
- Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
- State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
- Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future.
You also restored a logo to your draft- logos cannot be in drafts. Furthermore, you improperly uploaded it to Commons and claimed it as your own personal work. It should be uploaded to this Wikipedia directly and claimed as fair use. Fair use images cannot be in drafts- you must wait until the draft is accepted before placing a logo in it. 331dot (talk) 08:31, 8 August 2023 (UTC)
- Hello @331dot
- As I am new to Wikipedia, i was unfortunately submitted my draft for review; it was a mistake I made without reading guide lines Could you please review this and unblock me because I did it incorrectly? unblock|reason=Your reason here Scottwilliam2609 (talk) 09:14, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
- To be unblocked, please follow the instructions in the block notice to make an unblock request. The Reply function is not designed to accomodate unblock requests well, so I would suggest opening the edit window directly(click "edit" at the top of the screen in desktop mode). 331dot (talk) 09:17, 9 August 2023 (UTC)

Decline reason:
You clearly misunderstand paid editing. You are absolutely a paid editor. Please reread WP:PAID. Yamla (talk) 10:39, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
What is your connection to SunTec Group? Do you understand what I said about the use of the logo(logos cannot be in drafts)? 331dot (talk) 09:28, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
I am digital market assisten for the SunTec Group i was exactly understood what is the use of logo.i will not provide any logos in draft.Thankyou for my guidlines please unblock my editing section i will be followed as per the guidlines edits 331dot
- You must make a formal paid editing disclosure, which is a Terms of Use requirement. Someone will review your request, but it is doubtful that you will be unblocked to, in the near term, edit about your company. We will want to first see a history of edits in other areas before permitting that, to demonstrate your understanding of relevant guidelines. 331dot (talk) 09:51, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
- Please read WP:BOSS, and have your superiors read it too. 331dot (talk) 09:52, 9 August 2023 (UTC)
- yes @331dotI was totally agreeable about my mistake and what it was done by myself , but I was not doing paid editing; I had been studying Wikipedia guidelines for the past 6 months.That was done by mistake to submit that for review; I was practicing in draft and then slowly started editing the articles. give me the chance that I can use that and it will not be crossed againest the guidelines. I was talking about this with my boss. Please unblock the edit section. Scottwilliam2609 (talk) 10:12, 9 August 2023 (UTC)

- You keep insisting that you are not a paid editor yet you have stated "I am digital market assisten for the SunTec Group' this means you are absolutely deemed to be a paid editor, no question. Theroadislong (talk) 14:06, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
- @331dot @Theroadislong No, that's not my business. That's my friend's business; he owns it totally. I will be editing many company pages as a digital marketing influencer. I was not paid for anything till now. I own my personal wikipedia to learn about the wikipedia I am editing, and I have also changed many articles. Scottwilliam2609 (talk) 09:30, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- You don't have to be in the specific business of Wikipedia editing to be a paid editor. If you weren't paid for anything else, fine, but if you are a "digital market assisten for the SunTec Group" you are absolutely a paid editor under our rules. I'm not sure what you mean by "I own my personal wikipedia", are you referring to this account? 331dot (talk) 09:39, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- This is my draft article, where I will be practicing by miss. I made that mistake by submitting it for review; it was not in proper alignment with Wikipedia rules.I have not been paid to edit until now, and I have been editing for many months on different articles.only to learn that I was even editing this Suntec article page as I was editing all the articles.@331dot Scottwilliam2609 (talk) 10:37, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- You need to make another unblock request for someone else to review, in which you make it clear that you understand that you are now a paid editor and tell us what will be different about your editing going forward, including any topics you might edit about unrelated to any conflict of interest that you have. 331dot (talk) 10:39, 11 August 2023 (UTC)

Review my account
[edit]331dotPlease review my account; I make edits in top firms for the banking and financeing sectors; I am not working with paid editings because I am developing my teachings and contributing to numerous wikipedia pages; therefore, please unblock my account and view my review. 331dot Scottwilliam2609 (talk) 06:08, 5 October 2023 (UTC)
- As the blocking administrator I cannot review your unblock requests; you must make a new request for someone else to review. As we have been telling you, however, there is no pathway forward until you are prepared to admit you are a paid editor, and address the issues raised in your UTRS request. 331dot (talk) 07:46, 5 October 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, I am writing to kindly request reconsideration of my block on Wikipedia. I understand that actions leading to my block, and I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused. I would like to emphasise that I am not a paid editor but rather a passionate contributor who values the principles of open collaboration and the dissemination of accurate information. My intent has always been to contribute positively to the Wikipedia community and Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and I am committed to learning from this experience. - I've said what your pathway forward is. I would also advise you to not write your request with a chatbot. Please do not ping me about this again. 331dot (talk) 08:53, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
