February 2009

[edit]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by some search engines, including Google. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 02:23, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thanks for the feedback, Theroadislong. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out. I've tried to keep the article as unbiased as possible and made sure to use citations from reputable sources like Yahoo Finance, rather than anything directly from the company. I created the Wikipedia page because the company is publicly traded, and I thought it would be helpful to have a basic overview for anyone looking to learn more about it.
I understand that being publicly traded doesn’t automatically make a company notable on Wikipedia, but given that these companies are often covered by independent sources, I believe this one meets the notability criteria. I also noticed that Wikipedia encourages editors to search for these kinds of sources before considering dismissal, especially since there's usually a good chance a publicly traded company is notable. I definitely acknowledge that there may not be sufficient references but with a little guidance, will work to get those included. Samlee1890 (talk) 20:55, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
