Hi Rockcottone. Welcome.

The subject of the article in your sandbox does not look notable. Apart from that a lot of work is needed before it is ready for mainspace. Wikipedia:Article development will help show how an article should be developed. We also have an advice centre for new editors at the teahouse. Do come by and join us.--Charles (talk) 19:47, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I've seen your userspace draft and I think that before the article is submitted into the article space, it could use some improvements. The article is great, but it could become even better if you read this page and this page and then format your article in a clearer way. If you have any more questions, do not hesitate to ask me on my talk page.

Your submission at Articles for creation

[edit]

I noticed your submission in Articles for creation, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Mark Pope, Ed.D.. Thanks! It will be reviewed by a volunteer soon.

Before it can be added to Wikipedia, your submission should have references. All articles on Wikipedia should have inline, numbered references after facts, showing the 'reliable source' (a newspaper, book, etc.) where the information can be checked, so that all information is verifiable.

Here's a video tutorial - hit play, then right-click for "full screen".

Here's an example of how to add references:

Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> The Book of Chzz, Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref>

He likes tea.<ref> Smith, John. "[http://foonews.com/Article42 Interview with Chzz]", Foo News, 1 April 2010. Retrieved 2011-05-22. </ref>

== References ==

{{reflist}}

That makes the references automatically display as small numbers[1] which will link to the details in the section titled == References == at the end. You can see that example in action here.

Please add references to your submission, which will be reviewed as soon as possible. See also, Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners. If you need any help, just put {{helpme}} at the end of this page, followed by a question or get into our live help chat chanel at #wikipedia-en-help connect.

Your article

[edit]

Hi RockCottone, thanks for your message. I'll have a good look at your article and help out with editing in the next 24 hours, if that's O.K. with you. It looks as though your subject is notable enough. I'll just tidy it up, check the references,etc. then put it straight onto Wikipedia. If you are not going to edit much it's hardly worth "beating you brains out" learning all the technical stuff!!! (Though editing can become addictive.) --Harkey (talk) 18:39, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I made a start at this page. What would Dr Pope say his profession is? Will do some more later; it's getting late here in the UK !! :-) --Harkey (talk) 20:53, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I think I've done as much as is needed for now. If we could come up with a suitable title for the article, I'll move it into the main Wikipedia. There is already a Mark Pope so maybe Mark Pope (academic) or something similar to differentiate your guy. (By the way, what a remarkable guy; such a lot of work!!)--Harkey (talk) 10:58, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Would Mark Pope (Counselor) be OK? (See Keith's comment on my talk page.) If it is, I'll just rename and move it into the main article space.--Harkey Talk 08:10, 24 April 2012 (UTC) ( Please note the flash new signature!! :-) )[reply]
I just moved your article, Mark Pope (Counselor), into main article space. You can delete all the superfluous copies now, if you want. --Harkey Talk 17:11, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello RockCottone. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Mark Pope, Ed.D.".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Mark Pope, Ed.D.}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Fiddle Faddle 18:33, 28 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
