ArbCom 2019 election voter message

[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:10, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Editor of the Week : nominations needed!

[edit]

The Editor of the Week initiative has been recognizing editors since 2013 for their hard work and dedication. Editing Wikipedia can be disheartening and tedious at times; the weekly Editor of the Week award lets its recipients know that their positive behaviour and collaborative spirit is appreciated. The response from the honorees has been enthusiastic and thankful.

The list of nominees is running short, and so new nominations are needed for consideration. Have you come across someone in your editing circle who deserves a pat on the back for improving article prose regularly, making it easier to understand? Or perhaps someone has stepped in to mediate a contentious dispute, and did an excellent job. Do you know someone who hasn't received many accolades and is deserving of greater renown? Is there an editor who does lots of little tasks well, such as cleaning up a citation.

Please help us thank editors who display sustained patterns of excellence, working tirelessly in the background out of the spotlight, by submitting your nomination for Editor of the Week today! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 23:50, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Precious
Eight years!

Thank you today for Typhoon Maemi, about "the most powerful typhoon to strike South Korea since record-keeping began in the country in 1904. Nationwide, the high winds destroyed about 5,000 houses and damaged 13,000 homes and businesses, leaving 25,000 people homeless. About 1.47 million lost power, and widespread crop damage occurred, resulting in the worst rice crop in 23 years."! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:51, 11 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Gerda Arendt Thank you Gerda :) I am still lurking around, though not editing anymore. So glad to see my work still stands after all these years. → Call me Razr Nation 16:05, 11 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request undeletion for Mainframe (band)

[edit]

Hello,

A few years back you deleted the Mainframe (band) article. I believe that there is sufficient evidence that the article should be reinstated.

There are points in the article that should have better references and I can assist with that. Please can you get the article back online? There are lots of things that I would like to mention regarding the band and add more references to the points.

I listed a few references to their notoriety here: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Requests_for_undeletion/Archive_370#Mainframe_%28band%29
