  • Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes ~~~~ at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp.
  • Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.

American Indian Wars

[edit]

Just a note to let you know that your first edit to American Indian Wars was reverted because you changed the name of the image file [[:File:Apache chieff Geronimo (right) and his warriors in 1886.jpg]], breaking the link to the file and causing the image to not display. Please remember, do not try to "correct" linked items (i.e., enclosed in [[ ... ]]) until you have verified what the correct spelling, capitalization, and punctuation is for the file or article name. Thank for your editing of Wikipedia. - Donald Albury 23:15, 19 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Misplaced !vote?

[edit]

By posting your "Oppose. I don't agree with calling the capitol incident a coup at all." comment in the

Template talk:Coup d'état#Categorizing the 2021 USA coup as a self-coup?

section instead of the

Template talk:Coup d'état#RFC: Should the events of January 2021 be considered an "attempted coup" in the United States?

section, your !vote won't be counted. You may wish to copy it over to the RfC. --Guy Macon (talk) 07:02, 26 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Alright, thanks for informing me. I moved my comment from "Categorizing the 2021 USA coup as a self-coup?" to "Should the events of January 2021 be considered an "attempted coup" in the United States?"

Thanks for the response, I'm currently working on the citations and footnotes now, and trying to figure out how to implement them. Was there any other issues with the article beyond the citations that needed fixing? Randomuser335S (talk) 15:43, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that Template:Proposed deletion: Please just delete this draft. I really do not care for waiting nearly an entire month in limbo, only to receive a rejection notice with very low tier comments sniping about the writing quality., a page that you created, has been tagged for deletion. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Schützenpanzer (Talk) 22:26, 11 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There is a biography on Piest's life (https://www.amazon.com/Postmortem-What-Survives-Wayne-Murders-ebook/dp/B0CZGP2XF5/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&dib_tag=se&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.tTdczYDgv60PIQgaA8cGiQ.hzBU6nUqgDe2jXgIGXfsxYvroLNfi2p0U7Qhyxue2FM&qid=1713387452&sr=1-1) stated to be released on December 24 of this current year. It is written by the daughter of the co worker, whose placing of the photo receipt in Piest's pocket was essential in building a case against Gacy. When that book is released, I'll probably try to use it as a source to construct the "murder of Robert Piest" and stand it out from Gacy's article.
That of course is going to be about 6 months after the current draft is deleted, so would it be too late to request a retrieval of "deleted material for future reference" from it? Randomuser335S (talk) 22:40, 11 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Murder of Robert Piest Draft

[edit]

I have copied the draft of the Murder of Robert Piest article you created to my sandbox with view to working further upon the article, then, perhaps, giving it back to you for final checking and submission for review. I hope this meets your approval. If you wish, I'll revert the insertion on my sandbox. Key. Kieronoldham (talk) 02:43, 13 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I completely approve of the decision, thanks for doing so Randomuser335S (talk) 01:16, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
