Proposed deletion of Faujdarhat Collegiate School
[edit]The article Faujdarhat Collegiate School has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 16:43, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:Front view of FCS.jpeg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Front view of FCS.jpeg, which you've attributed to Facebook. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Nthep (talk) 13:52, 4 January 2015 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Soumya.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Soumya.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 19:05, 24 April 2015 (UTC)

- Wikipedia is under a free license which means that it can be seen and modified by anyone, provided contributors are acknowledged. Most images and text are not under such a license. They may be copyrighted so that a person or group owns the image or text and controls who can view or modify it. Copyrighted images and text can even be online. For example, when someone posts an image on Facebook, they still own the image, they have only givenn Facebook permission to post or re-post the image. Images and text under copyright cannot be used on Wikipedia except in certain very special situations like short direct quotes or fair use images. This is because, as soon as something is on Wikipedia, it is released under free license, which may break the copyright. That is why we use mostly pictures taken by Wikipedia volunteers and text written by Wikipedia volunteers. I hope that is more clear. Happy Squirrel(Please let me know how to improve!) 15:32, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
- For images you created yourself, you can add any of the templates at wp:File copyright tags#For image creators. If you have specific questions about one of the templates, I can try to help you. Happy Squirrel(Please let me know how to improve!) 15:37, 25 April 2015 (UTC)
- About stubs: A stub is just a very short article. Most articles start as stubs and then are improved by adding more content and references. The subject of articles have to be notable. This is not the same as important. Notable means that secondary sources (sources not written by people connected to the subject) have written a lot about it. Winning prizes, being talked about in a newspaper or having books written about the subject are signs of notability. Just appearing in a list or directory, or having a website are not. Articles that do not prove that their subject is notable are often deleted. You may want to create articles first in your sandbox (link at the top of your page) and then ask someone to look at them.
- About HTML tags: only some HTML tags can be used in Wikipedia articles. Wikipedia uses a markup language called wikimarkup. Section headers are made by putting ==Section title== on a new line. It will not give a section header when used in the middle of a line. Indents are made by putting : at the start of a line. Bulleted lists are made by putting a * at the start of a line. Your sanbox is a good place to try these out.
- Anyway, I hope that helps. Don't hesitate to ask more questions. We are always happy to help. Happy Squirrel(Please let me know how to improve!) 15:50, 25 April 2015 (UTC)

Image tagging for File:Rafi at his home.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Rafi at his home.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.
To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Non-free rationale for File:Mithila 1.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Mithila 1.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ~ Moheen (talk) 19:50, 10 January 2016 (UTC)

File source problem with File:CCPC.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:CCPC.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.
If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Speedy deletion nomination of Fokira Jame Mosque
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Fokira Jame Mosque requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. File copyright problem with File:Rafi at his home.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:Rafi at his home.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. August 2016
[edit]Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to Michael William Pitt. I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:
|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]
Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:
|image=SomeImage.jpg
.
There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption
. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!! Proposed deletion of Badsha Jame Mosque
[edit]The article Badsha Jame Mosque has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Tagged as unreferenced and for notability ever since it was created in March 2016. Searches of the usual Google types found zero reliable sources. Does not meet the notability criteria to justify a stand alone article.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Worldbruce (talk) 05:45, 14 January 2017 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Lucky Enam image.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Lucky Enam image.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 19:27, 26 April 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Unspecified source/license for File:Mohsin monument.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Mohsin monument.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it.
