If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on D satya prakash, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. @Jimfbleak:
Thank you for guiding me on how I have gone over board on patronising and using phrases and adjectives which seem to propagate D Satya Prakash, I re-confirm that I am just a beginner on contribution and have no monitor benefits but I am just one of the person who appreciates his works and realised not much he has spoken about himself, and very less information is available of him, as I am working with him for past 1 year, I felt like taking the ownership to help such talents to be known well for those who look out for information on such talents. Now can you please guide me on rewriting the script on sandbox or shall I re-edit the existing article. Also If you can guide me on what kind of reference such as newspaper article or what else would be considered as valid reference note. looking forward for you guidance.RAGZU (talk) 16:32, 6 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for message. I deleted your article because

  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that he meets the notability guidelines. It is now Wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have independent verifiable references, as defined in the link, or they will be deleted. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the him or his company, press releases, IMDB social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the he claims or interviewing him. You gave no in-text references at all, just some links at the end, some of which were not suitable as refs anyway. They were not in-line references so we can't tell what fact each is supporting. References should be in-line and should not be bare urls
  • it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. A few examples of the many unsourced claims presented as fact include: Cited by the media as one of India's promising filmmakers... widely credited with a ray of hope... his films are noted for their unique... technical finesse, and craft... honored him with the BEST DEBUT DIRECTOR (shouty capitals so we don't miss it)... unique to ears and has layers of thought hidden behind his writing... He believes in simplifying a complex thought (mindreading)... — and so on, it's shameless spam laid on with a trowel and lots of CAPITALS
  • there shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections. that's particularly the case when they are spamlinks to commercial sites like Netflix
  • I am only a follower who is trying to share the knowledge of a great personality who has made a wonderful film in an Indian regional language and has got recognised by our govt and many prestigious institutes deserves a Wiki page when needed to refer him to many fellow film enthusiast on his decade of work in the world of filmmaking. This hero worship suggests that you are not a neutral independent person, and you should not write this article. It also suggests that may you have a conflict of interest when editing this article, you must declare it. If you work directly or indirectly for him or his organisation, or otherwise are acting on his behalf, you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly. Regardless, if you are paid directly or indirectly by the person or organisation you are writing about, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:RAGZU. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=RAGZU|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block. Please do not edit further until you respond to this message.
  • Not reasons for deletion, but your article title isn't correctly capitalised. Also, you appear to be writing from India about an Indian topic. Indian English normally uses British English spellings like "humour" rather than the US "humor".

Most of the text is unusable, but I'm prepared to restore what I can, including the table. Before I do so, please check that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and make that you can find independent third party sources as defined in the link. Also read this important guidance. You must also reply to the COI request above. Pinging RHaworth Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:48, 6 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the response, I agree it does sound patronising and biased article from my end, I agree to modify the article to be only informative and neutral. I have no connection or what so ever with the filmmaker, but only concerned on why does he not talk about himself, hence it was self-initiated as I had seen him in close proximity when I used to work with him before. I have no COI as it's purely self-initiated while I had found very less information of this personality, who got recognised by the state govt and many other international film festival. I am a fellow independent filmmaker who is seeking information of such personality. let me know if I can edit the present article to make it neutral and informative.RAGZU (talk) 17:15, 6 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) Others may not be wp:watching your talk page. It is best to use wp:notifications. If you are replying to the above thread, it is best not to create a new section. One typically indents their reply. See wp:Indentation, help:talk pages, and wp:talk page guidelines Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 17:28, 6 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
"I used to work with him before" isn't quite "no connection whatsoever", but you have clarified your position, so that's OK. You are probably better to start from scratch, but let me know if you need the table code. Why do you think it is "D. Satya prakash" and not "D. Satyaprakash"? Times of India gives it as "D. Satyaprakash". See http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/entertainment/kannada/movies/news/karnataka-state-film-award-winners-for-2016/articleshow/58130032.cms Also, one would normally capitalize it at "D. Satya Prakash"...

After a bit more checking, it appears that most spellings use "D. Satya Prakash" and it it capitalized. Example: https://www.filmibeat.com/celebs/d-satya-prakash.html English typically capitalizes proper nouns and it would appear that Prakash is a proper noun. https://www.filmibeat.com/celebs/d-satya-prakash.html

Please take care to ensure capitalization (and everything else) is correct. You can check your edit by using wp:show preview Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 16:47, 6 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your user subpage at User:RAGZU may not meet Wikipedia's user page guideline. If you believe that your user page does not violate our guideline, please leave a note on this page. Alternatively, you may add {{Db-u1}} to the top of the page in question and an administrator will delete it, or you can simply edit the page so that it meets Wikipedia's user page guideline.

It looks like you copied your draft article from your sandbox to your user page. That's not what your userpage should be used for. You can put a few things about yourself and your Wikipedia work, but it should not appear to be an article and should not be about someone other than you.
