The Wachowskis template
The template only originally listed the films they directed, it was you who decided to add their screenwriting and video game credits (as you did here [1]). Which is why I removed the "Films directed by" title to "Works by", I used the latter title especially because of the The Matrix video games being listed. Also the explanation you gave here: [2] does not make much sense, they are credited as writers and producers for Speed Racer and Cloud Atlas, just because they also directed those films should not matter at all. You listed those films under "Feature films" and what does the "Feature films" title even mean specifically. I know it means the films they directed, but an average reader is not going to know what that means, did they direct those feature films?, did they write those feature films? And based on the edit history of the template, I am not the only editor you have had an issue with regarding how the films should be listed. Perhaps it would best to only list the films they directed and avoid future conflict, other than that I still do not see what was so bad about the way I listed the films [3]. QuasyBoy (talk) 19:01, 3 September 2012 (UTC)
- Personally I have no problem with your version, but in templates like Steven Spielberg, the films he directed AND wrote such as Close Encounters of the Third Kind and A.I. Artificial Intelligence are not listed in Written, only Directed. Otherwise, I think you're right for "Films directed" instead of "Feature films". Sorry for the spelling! --Hyliad (d), 3 september 2012, 21:13 (CEST)

Goyer
Um, everytime you watch a film and it says "Film by ...." the director is always listed. That's because they get credit for making the film. Not the writer. Goyer has tons of writing credits, including for films that he only wrote a spec draft for (like The Dark Knight Rises). I think you're placing undue weight on the writing credits. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 04:01, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
- I have two issues with it. The first being that Goyer has dozens of writing credits, and to list every film that he has every had a hand in writing would just create an unnecessarily long template. The second thing I have an issue with is how you're determining "credit". You said in your response, "screen writing credit". Goyer does not have "screen writing credit" for all of the films you listed. He has "story by" credit for some, and others he was a writer initially but the end product was more someone else's screenplay. So, if you're going to try and argue that the writing credits need to be there, then there should be a clear definition of what is included. For example, Dollman vs. Demonic Toys was not written by Goyer. It is based on characters he created. The Puppet Masters features a rewrite from Goyer, but we don't know how much is explicitely "his" and how much was the original writers (especially since the film had 9 different writers in the end). With Dark City, Goyer did some rewrites, but it was primarily Alex Proyas screenplay and his direction. Puppet Master vs. Demonic Toys again features Goyer's characters, not his screenplay. Jumper was originally Goyer's, but was rewritten by 2 different people. Goyer supplied the story to The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, he did not actually write the script for either of them. So, yes I do have some issue with the "screen credit by" title for Goyer on many of the films listed. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 05:28, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
- It's not a "technicality", Christopher Nolan didn't write any script. He's never claimed that he did. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 12:35, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:Bridgit Mendler - Hello My Name Is.jpg)
Thanks for uploading File:Bridgit Mendler - Hello My Name Is.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. BTTF: "Duplicate categories are no longer an issue"
Says who? -- Lyverbe (talk) 23:59, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
- Ah, I thought you meant that it's OK per Wikipedia to have duplicate categories. You only mean that you fixed it so that it's currently not an issue but still could be. It's somewhat important that common categories be merged in the base 'article' and uncommon categories be in each specific article. I'll still keep my eyes open for future updates regarding categories.
Thank you for getting the categories on there I would have forgotten. ^_^ Swifty*talk 02:35, 8 September 2012 (UTC)

Have you recovered from the season opener yet? I've got to watch it again.
But here's the question for now: do you think the article needs a section or some sort of more developed discussion of the Machine? It's clear already that it's going to function as a character this season. What think you? --Drmargi (talk) 12:28, 28 September 2012 (UTC)

The article Todd McMullen has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No evidence at all of notability.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. JamesBWatson (talk) 12:41, 6 November 2012 (UTC)

POI
Quasy, would take a peek at the new work I did on the POI article? I broke out a new group of recurring characters who are connected to Jay O. Sanders' character and the development of the machine. JOS's character's name appears to be Pennsylvania Two; although I can't find a source I'm really happy with, I'm going to go with it for now so we have some sort of name, at least. I also moved Elias away from HR, since that connection is less important than it once was. Last thought: capitalize Machine or no? Thanks! --Drmargi (talk) 20:17, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

POI yellow box
Quasy, I just did an update to the description of the Machine in the POI article, in part describing the target boxes and their color scheme. While reviewing a few episodes, I noticed that not only Finch, Reese and Ingram have yellow boxes, but also Alicia Corwin and Root. What do you think the yellow boxes signify: people who the Machine knows, or people who know about the Machine? I suppose once Carter finds out we'll be able to tell for sure; her box should change to yellow if it's the latter. What do you think? --Drmargi (talk) 18:07, 24 February 2013 (UTC)

Better source request for File:The Troop season 1 cast.jpg
Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:
You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 21:10, 22 April 2013 (UTC)

Hello, I saw you recently moved the page Lex Luger (producer) to Lex Luger (record producer). I believe your edit does not meet WP:CRITERIA as it fails the point for Conciseness – "The title is no longer than necessary to identify the article's subject and distinguish it from other subjects." Since the only other person, named Lex Luger, is a professional wrestler (completely different occupation), the title "Lex Luger (producer)" is sufficiently precise to identify the article's subject. 2Flows (talk) 17:52, 13 June 2013 (UTC)

Hey Quasy. I saw your recent edits to the Ashley Tisdale singles infoboxes, and I was just letting you know that the "director" field is currently being dicussed at Template talk:Infobox single. — Statυs (talk, contribs) 04:09, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for July 20
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited The Piece Maker, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Alchemist (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I reverted one of your good faith edit at Thor: The Dark World and incorrectly labeled the location of the consensus, the actual location is at Wikipedia talk:FILM#The Avengers 2, Thor 2, Captain America 2, etc., in article lead. Sorry for the inconvenience.--TriiipleThreat (talk) 14:40, 7 August 2013 (UTC)
