Userboxes
Hi QuasyBoy, I just have a question. Alright, I made another userbox, this time one about Harry Potter. However, when I put it on my user page, all the userboxes suddenly got uneven! I know this must have something to do with the size, so would you mind fixing it here at User:Pinkstrawberry02/UBX/HarryPotter? Thanks very much! Pinkstrawberry02™ talk 02:33, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
- Oops! I guess I must have been hallucinating or something, because it's all fixed now. :P Anyways, thanks for at least responding. Sorry about that. Pinkstrawberry02™ talk 02:40, 16 October 2011 (UTC)

Edit?
I thought you recanted my idea for Line Breaks because it Stretched the Height of the Writer column here. Where as now you made this edit and it's the exact height that I did? So basically you told AussieLegend to change it but you basically changed it back... - Alec2011 (talk) 02:07, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
- I meant this edit was changed to this edit? Story by on one line and Teleplay by on another was fine. I didn't see a Firstname on one line and the lastname on the other? - Alec2011 (talk) 18:47, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
- What's your screen resolution? Depending on your screen resolution it'll make the columns push closer together making some names pushed down. - Alec2011 (talk) 18:47, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
- Mine is 1366x768 (Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Adjust Screen Resolution -> Resolution) That'll tell you your resolution. I also have a 15.6 inch screen and it looked fine on my computer. - Alec2011 (talk) 18:54, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
- I think that's the problem. I see why all of this is going on. When I made my edit, it made it look 4 lines instead of 3 lines on mine correct? Since you resolution in more than 100 pixels smaller than mine, the columns are pushing the last name down to another line because there's a space between the first and last name. The bigger the resolution, the wider the columns are. So the more you can fit on a line where it doesn't move to a second line. So what I see is different then what you see. Same thing with colors, I see a color and you may see a brighter or darker color depending on you computer. I hope that made sense, haha. Can you undo your edit and preview it and send me a screencap? - Alec2011 (talk) 19:04, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
- Ahh, that used to happen to me before I got my laptop. There's not really much you can do about it though :(. With all the different resolutions it's hard to tell what's right and wrong, you know? Well, glad we got this worked out, haha. - Alec2011 (talk) 02:03, 22 October 2011 (UTC)

ABC Studios
Hey QuasyBoy, I haven't seen the last two episodes of Ringer, so I don't want to go reverting anything. How do you know ABC still produces it? Jayy008 (talk) 17:16, 6 November 2011 (UTC)
- Could it be that they just haven't changed the closing credits? I've never seen Deadline wrong during my experience. Jayy008 (talk) 17:23, 6 November 2011 (UTC)
- I know. It's weird. Either answer makes sense — I guess we'll have to wait for the DVD. Though, the image may still be on the back as they produced the pilot. Jayy008 (talk) 17:48, 6 November 2011 (UTC)
Dan Schneider TV producer recurring actors
Hello. I saw you initially created the table of recurring actors on the Dan Schneider (TV producer) page in September. This was a great idea, btw. Question, was St. James on The Amanda Show? Even though his IMDB does not list it. I could have sworn that I saw him in an episode. Also, was Cosgrove on an episode of All That? An "X" was marked there when you first put up the table. Then was shortly removed. I don't know if you added it to begin with, or someone else did shortly after you created the table. Final question, could we possibly add Kevin Kopelow to the table, since he has made appearances on All That as well as Kenan and Kel? I also thought Christopher Michael would fit on the table since he appeared on iCarly and D. and J. Sorry for all the questions. Thanks ! Tinton5 (talk) 07:41, 12 November 2011 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Mad About You titlecard.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Mad About You titlecard.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. George Ho (talk) 13:03, 18 November 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:MartinTVcast.jpg. You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. Category:2012 American television series endings
The definition we should go by is listed at the top of Category:2011 television series endings. There is no need for the category to exist until the first series actually ends its run in 2012, which can't happen before January 1. So, even if it is recreated, shows like Chuck (TV series) should not be added to the category until the final episode airs and not before. --Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars (talk) 17:41, 28 November 2011 (UTC)

Hey Quasy. Question, what's your take on this....on Reed's page, it has stated that he was born in 1993, making him 18 as of yesterday. It has said this for quite some time. However, I check out his Twitter yesterday, and found this post: [1]. Would we change it to born December 23, 1994 then? So many birth discrepancies! Thanks for your help. Have a great holiday! You are invited to the National Archives ExtravaSCANza, taking place every day next week from January 4–7, Wednesday to Saturday, in College Park, Maryland (Washington, DC metro area). Come help me cap off my stint as Wikipedian in Residence at the National Archives with one last success!
This will be a casual working event in which Wikipedians are getting together to scan interesting documents at the National Archives related to a different theme each day—currently: spaceflight, women's suffrage, Chile, and battleships—for use on Wikipedia/Wikimedia Commons. The event is being held on multiple days, and in the evenings and weekend, so that as many locals and out-of-towners from nearby regions1 as possible can come. Please join us! Is there any way to revert the page back to this? That makes a lot more sense than what the current page is. - Alec2011 (talk) 22:53, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, it should really match the Original Series page. Plus who really cares if it's a live-action/animated or based off of a book. People would rather know what year it was premiered. - Alec2011 (talk) 18:47, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
- So would we have to copy everything individually to fix the page? - Alec2011 (talk) 19:42, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
- I'm not sure how to revert it back to that way though. It normally says Edit cannot be reverted because there was another edit after it. - Alec2011 (talk) 20:50, 1 January 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Carlon Jeffery
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Carlon Jeffery, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. SummerPhD (talk) 20:38, 1 January 2012 (UTC)

"&"/And
This is a different situation. Generally, yes & and "and" do mean different things when on TV, but on Wikipedia, we generally do not care how writers collabrated on an episode but that 2 or 3 or 4 or 5, etc wrote the episode. If you see my conversation here & here, using Name One & Name Two and Name Three is in fact bad English and on Wikipedia we're not required to replicate poor English. Using "Name One, Name Two & Name Three" is correct English. - Alec2011 (talk) 01:35, 30 January 2012 (UTC)
- The two pages you sent to me I'm referring to what AussieLegend said: "The content of the list doesn't matter, it's always a, b & c if you don't use a serial comma, or a, b, & c if you use a serial comma." Since there's 3 writers, it's a list (Using Steven Lilien & Bryan Wynbrandt and Elizabeth Sarnoff is bad English, using Steven Lilien, Bryan Wynbrandt & Elizabeth Sarnoff is correct English). - Alec2011 (talk) 03:26, 30 January 2012 (UTC)
- So you mean listing it as Steven Lilien, Bryan Wynbrandt and Elizabeth Sarnoff? - Alec2011 (talk) 01:02, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
- But putting Steven Lilien & Bryan Wynbrandt and Elizabeth Sarnoff is bad English. You don't put "I got Milk & Cereal & Bowls & Spoons and napkins at the store" when writing a paper you use comma's to separate each work (Milk, Cereal, Bowls, etc.). Listing names in such a manner is bad English as well. There's no guidelines on Wikipedia that state you have to write the names as such as you see it on TV, it's all a matter of preference as you stated. - Alec2011 (talk) 20:54, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
- Yes they someone agreed with it, however I posted on their talk page the 2 discussions I posted above (as I didn't want to to break the 3 revert rule) and they seemed fine with it after as no edits have undone it. I will use that page for future revisions, thanks :D. - Alec2011 (talk) 21:54, 31 January 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification
Hi. When you recently edited List of female film and television directors, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Courtney Cox (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello. I am trying to get this page unprotected so it could be created. Would you agree that this actress meets notability guidelines? She has a significant role on "Kickin It". These are a few sources I found: [2], [3], [4] and [5] (a rather emotional, yet informative video). If you skip to 8:28 in the video, she explains how she got involved with acting and what not. Ah yes that was my error. Thanks! Tinton5 (talk) 00:31, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
I question your deletion of article Maximum(film) here. No reason has been provided though
- I don't see what is implausible in creating a page for upcoming big Bollywood movie( going to release in 2 months) when there exists pages for Bollywood movies coming even next year.
- I guarantee the content is totally neutral and informative in nature.
I am new to editing so please can you tell me about inappropriate nature of this article. Jpmeena (talk) 18:32, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
