Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Protector of Henman Hill! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 331 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the tag. Here is the article:

File copyright problem with File:EC06 DaveMcCarthyRelayFinal.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading File:EC06 DaveMcCarthyRelayFinal.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Peripitus (Talk) 20:51, 12 January 2010 (UTC)
File source and copyright licensing problem with File:1 MCCARTHY David 5000m 3.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:1 MCCARTHY David 5000m 3.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 04:32, 13 January 2010 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 04:32, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

Nomination of Raffaele Cretaro for deletion
[edit]A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Raffaele Cretaro is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Raffaele Cretaro until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Sir Sputnik (talk) 02:49, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]Hi Protector, I have came across your contributions on the article Raffaele Cretaro and its article for deletion discussion. There are notability guidelines in place to see if an article is notable enough for inclusive on Wikipedia. Unfortunately Raffaele Cretaro does not at the present time fulfill these. For football WP:NFOOTY, a player needs to have played not only as a professional player but in a fully professional league or cup, the same applies to managers. The League of Ireland has not been fully professional and this removes that criteria. Also could have gained notability by playing in an International tournament, the Olympics, or European Championships or even the World Cup. Or, as I got clarification on today, any of the rounds after qualifying in a UEFA club competition. He fails these unfortunately at the moment and perhaps with a good run next season get through the qaulifers with Sligo and become notable.
As for a club they vary from country to country but in Ireland all league clubs meet the notability guidelines as the cut off point is that they have competed in the national cup competition the FAI cup in this case.
There are general notability guidelines WP:GNG that could be fulfilled by players that would also meet the criteria. If you have any questions or would like to read more there is a football project on wikipedia WP:FOOTBALL and its relevant talkpage. I hope the nomination of the article wont deter you from contributing, understandably it can be disappointing to see an article you created maybe deleted, but you seem to have a good knowledge and I am sure you could be an assit to the community on here. I see you have been on here for a while, I know its a bit late but I will add the welcome message that may have links that will be of some use to you. Thanks for reading and I hope this helps explain things for you, if I can help you in any way just post on talkpage. Murry1975 (talk) 17:46, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
