I am trying to figure out how I can introduce this photo file:hughes and gwendolyn brooks.jpg into the commons so then it can be used in this article?? I have no idea how to do that. Thanks. here is link to photo that has been approved for public domain but never moved there: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/File:Hughes_and_Gwendolyn_Brooks.jpg#file

thank you!

You can always still use the image in Wikipedia articles; it doesn't have to go to Commons for that. There is a huge backlog of files to be moved to the Commons right now, so I wouldn't worry about this one. Hope this helped, --L235 (t / c / ping in reply) 02:56, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

thank you for the quick response! I have tried several times to tag the photo and use it anyway. Can you tell me how how i do that? I have tried the gallery and the file upload. ??

I wrote this essay to answer that exact question - hopefully it will help you out, but let me know if you get stuck. Yunshui  12:42, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to List of Stanford Law School alumni appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Your submission at Articles for creation: JinJa Birkenbeuel (May 23)

Hey Hoary -
Thanks for your quick response on this. I understand what you are saying, but I am looking at the 23 people who are listed on wikipedia as brand consultants. 19 are men. Of the 19, I argue that several of them have fewer citations of distinction than I posted here for Birkenbeuel.
See: Andy Stefanovich (Press releases, a simple bio posted on Fast Company are used), Simon Mainwaring (mainly links to his own website), and John Gerzema (listed as primary author in most references).
Also, it's important to note that only the female branding consultants have questions flagged on their profiles despite the male profiles being arguably as weak or weaker.
Given the paltry number of women leaders featured on wikipedia (especially Black women leaders), the extensive number of references, and that this entry meets or surpasses the threshold of several of the male branding consultants who have bios posted - would you please reconsider?
Kindly,
Petepetey Petepetey (talk) 17:50, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
