Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, but at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Proscylliidae, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted (undone) by ClueBot NG.

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Frog shark, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --Σ talkcontribs 02:19, 18 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation

[edit]

I noticed your submission in Articles for creation, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/High Score Video Games. Thanks! It will be reviewed by a volunteer soon.

Before it can be added to Wikipedia, your submission should have references. All articles on Wikipedia should have inline, numbered references after facts, showing the 'reliable source' (a newspaper, book, etc.) where the information can be checked, so that all information is verifiable.

Here's a video tutorial - hit play, then right-click for "full screen".

Here's an example of how to add references:

Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref>

He likes tea.<ref> Smith, John. "[http://foonews.com/Article42 Interview with Chzz]", Foo News, 1 April 2010. Retrieved 2011-05-22. </ref>

== References ==

{{reflist}}

That makes the references automatically display as small numbers[1] which will link to the details in the section titled == References == at the end. You can see that example in action here.

Please add references to your submission, which will be reviewed as soon as possible. See also, Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners. If you need any help, just put {{helpme}} at the end of this page, followed by a question or get into our live help chat chanel at #wikipedia-en-help connect.

Science lovers wanted!
Hi! I'm serving as the wikipedian-in-residence at the Smithsonian Institution Archives until June! One of my goals as resident, is to work with Wikipedians and staff to improve content on Wikipedia about people who have collections held in the Archives - most of these are scientists who held roles within the Smithsonian and/or federal government. I thought you might like to participate since you are interested in the sciences! Sign up to participate here and dive into articles needing expansion and creation on our to-do list. Feel free to make a request for images or materials at the request page, and of course, if you share your successes at the outcomes page you will receive the SIA barnstar! Thanks for your interest, and I look forward to your participation! SarahStierch (talk) 03:58, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Castle miner has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

notability not asserted

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. →Bmusician 01:54, 21 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from CastleMiner with this edit. When removing content, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the content has been restored, as you can see from the page history. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. I did blank it but only because It is no longer in counted as my created article.

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to CastleMiner with this edit, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Oh, I got what you mean. The user who edited your article added information to improve your article, but it's still your article. You are the one who created it. Let me know if you need any help. Salma Vian (talk) 22:35, 12 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The problem here is that you did not create CastleMiner. You created Castle miner. When you created that article, the other article already existed, making your creation of the second article redundant. Accordingly, your article was made into a redirect to the proper page. Please stop blanking the article. Evanh2008 (talk|contribs) 22:27, 12 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Call of Duty WikiProject

[edit]

I'm afraid I don't know much about Call of Duty so I wouldn't be that helpful. A good idea would be to propose the WikiProject so that you can find other like-minded editors that could assist. You can do this at Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals. Note that it's already been proposed in the past (see Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals/Call of Duty) and was rejected at the time. If you want to propose it again you should indicate what's changed in the past three years to make it a good idea now. For example you would mention that there are more games now, plus comic books and a short film. You should also give the proposal another name because that page already exists (e.g. Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals/Call of Duty (2nd proposal)). ... discospinster talk 18:49, 13 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding your placing of images at Wikipedia:WikiProject Call of Duty

[edit]

I noticed that you were adding assorted cover images from the Call of Duty series to the WikiProject page for Call of Duty. While that may make sense for the page, please note that non-free images can only be placed in articles, and even then only where they're specifically pre-allowed. This is to ensure that Wikipedia uses these images in compliance with fair use law in the United States, where Wikipedia's servers are hosted. Wikipedia:Non-free content is the policy that governs the use of non-free images. Please note that those images should not be added to the project page again. Thanks for creating the project and for editing Wikipedia! elektrikSHOOS (talk) 15:49, 14 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, Wikipedia Policy Patrol

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Wikipedia Policy Patrol. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - WP:CVU. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at WP:CVU - you might like to discuss new information at [[Talk:WP:CVU|the article's talk page]].

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Cheers,

Deletion and Twinkle

[edit]

I am sorry that I cannot reply in the timely matter that you wish but I am extremely busy. I nominated your article for deletion because there is already a patrol unit (See WP:CVU). If you would like to learn how to use twinkle, read the documentation. If you have any questions after that, then please contact me. Also, please write normally like this "Answer me, please", not "Answer Me, Please". Cheers,

A tag has been placed on FishingKing and Grizzly1110 OpVantage, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

the page is a wikipedia group.

  • (edit conflict) If you are simply adding a help request in an attempt to be unblocked, there is no need to place more than one template. Keep in mind that attempting to request a lift to the block of your account will not go very far if you continue to blame others for your failure to follow community policies and guidelines. Riley did not "get you" blocked. And the warning you received is not evidence of "doing bad things", but merely a demonstration of the process that Wikipedia uses in an attempt to curb disruption. The block on your account was a result of your personal actions, rather than those of other editors. Best regards, Cindy(talk to me) 02:22, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Don't bother with any of the other details at the bottom of the page - I just need to know that one line. Thanks! — Mr. Stradivarius (have a chat) 03:29, 21 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Fishing King

[edit]

Hey Grizzly! See you did some improvements to our page, I think we should ditch the log as it takes up too much time. Maybe instead keep count how many vandals have been warned and how many pages we have reverted due to vandalism. Would you or anyone you know be able to create a user box for this operation, I'm going to continue it for a long time and then introduce more operations doing different things which you can get involved in, Thanks FishingKing, waging war on Wikipedia vandals (talk) 17:35, 21 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I got banned for apparent sock puppetry turns out was brother anyway I changed op vantage page other day go on it and let's continue this op! FishingKiing - Waging War On Wiki Vandals (talk) 20:43, 22 June 2012 (UTC) Please reply[reply]

User Feedback Dashboard

[edit]

Hi Grizzly, I saw some of your feedback that you gave through the feedback dashboard. Please try to give full sentences of feedback and give helpful advice, not just single words, if you are going to continue using the dashboard. Please also spell check your responses. Thanks. Keilana|Parlez ici 21:11, 22 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Grizzly, you need to learn how to give useful feedback to new users. Please refrain from using the dashboard until you've gotten a bit more experience; right now you're just being disruptive. If you continue to be disruptive, you will be temporarily blocked from editing. Thank you. Keilana|Parlez ici 21:26, 22 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Antivandalism operation

[edit]

Hi, As you are a new user. I thought of informing you about certain things that I think will surely get you in trouble in the near future. It does not matter if the page Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:FishingKing/OpVantage 2012 gets deleted or not. The Idea to start such a think is in itself flawed. The reason is clearly explained in WP:NOTVANDAL and all the links on that page. If you start reverting like this is some kind of a race or competition , that you are planning to do, then you will almost certainly indulge in speedy and reckless reverts of good faith edits by other users and will wrongly template them for vandalism. Sometimes you need to check a few things (pagehistory, google search, user contributions) to decide if its clearly vandalism or not. And you will certainly not be doing this as this will be seen as a waste of time in your competition to speedily revert. "Haste makes Waste" the incorrect reverts that you make will be seen as WP:Disruptive editing and this is enough reason for blocking. I have seen several users getting blocked for Disruptive editing and I would not like to see you ending up in the same fate. Please spend some time in understanding WP:Vandalism and WP:Tutorial and contribute positively to the community. regards --DBigXray 08:47, 23 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

References

[edit]
Just follow the steps 1, 2 and 3 as shown and fill in the details

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Remember that when adding content about health, please only use high-quality reliable sources as references. We typically use review articles, major textbooks and position statements of national or international organizations (There are several kinds of sources that discuss health: here is how the community classifies them and uses them). WP:MEDHOW walks you through editing step by step. A list of resources to help edit health content can be found here. The edit box has a built-in citation tool to easily format references based on the PMID or ISBN.

  1. While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which says "cite" click on it
  2. Then click on "templates",
  3. Choose the most appropriate template and fill in the details beside a magnifying glass followed by clicking said button,
  4. If the article is available in Pubmed Central, you have to add the pmc parameter manually -- click on "show additional fields" in the template and you will see the "pmc" field. Please add just the number and don't include "PMC".

We also provide style advice about the structure and content of medicine-related encyclopedia articles. The welcome page is another good place to learn about editing the encyclopedia. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a note. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 04:40, 28 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
