He is not totally wrong, though. Rather than multiple pictures, 1 or 2 pictures are better, and lastly, the table is not always necessary when the section already explains it very well, but for highlights, we can keep it if we see other countries articles also follow this table of statistics. Niasoh ❯❯❯ Wanna chat? 13:49, 6 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the explanation — Cerium4B—Talk? • 15:11, 6 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Your user page

[edit]

Just noting that your user page is not properly predicting whether a user is on desktop or not. Hey man im josh (talk) 23:58, 6 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I regularly edit through the mobile version but also use the desktop version. Niasoh ❯❯❯ Wanna chat? 00:05, 7 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I don't understand the response in this context. Your user page states I know that you are a user, and that you are viewing my page by desktop. However, I'm not viewing the page via desktop. Hey man im josh (talk) 00:18, 7 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, sorry, I copied that code from another user. Maybe some technical error is why it's not showing the right info. Niasoh ❯❯❯ Wanna chat? 01:37, 7 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
A few minutes ago, I read the reply from Checkuser mail, and according to the mail, I removed that section from my user page. Thank you. @Hey man im josh Niasoh ❯❯❯ Wanna chat? 02:21, 7 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Elaborate on your BAU faculties and departments concern

[edit]

In this edit you added a {{Cleanup}} tag to the "Faculties and departments" section of Bangladesh Agricultural University with the reason "To comply with wiki policies".

Wikipedia:College and university article advice says it is "appropriate to mention the notable academic divisions (such as faculties/schools/colleges)". It is ambiguous as to whether departments are "important academic divisions", but Durham University, which is a good article, lists them. Because many of BAUs departments are for fields very different from those at general universities, I think it is reasonable to list them. The text introducing the Faculty of Veterinary Science cites no sources and is mostly WP:BOOSTERISM. And the degrees belong in the next section. Other than that, I don't see much wrong with the section.

I am doing some cleanup on the article, and would like to address your concern if I can. How do you believe the section fails to comply with policy? --Worldbruce (talk) 01:22, 7 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

In the Faculty of Veterinary Science section, the intro is kind of promotional, not NPOV, and grammar and spelling should be improved, and we should include reliable citation rather than primary sources. Lastly, maybe some outdated info is in that section. Niasoh ❯❯❯ Wanna chat? 01:45, 7 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
In the whole article, the grammar tone is not up to the mark. And need more citations in the Campus, Academics, and Admissions section to verify the correct info. Niasoh ❯❯❯ Wanna chat? 02:10, 7 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Muhammad Yunus good article nomination

[edit]

I wanted to let you know that since you nominated Muhammad Yunus as a good article, a few maintenance tags have been placed on it. These are usually disqualifying for good article nominations, so you might want to take a look at them. Some of them say that it needs to meet WP:ASSESS, which isn't really a maintenance tag issue and can probably be removed unless there's a specific reason why they're there. The "needs update" tag might need a closer look, but that can also be removed if the section has all of the pertinent information up to the present day. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 02:24, 25 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for letting me know, but right now we don't need the "needs update" tag, as that section already highlights main key present information. Niasoh ❯❯❯ Wanna chat? 06:56, 25 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I have sent you a note about a page you started

@Cerium4B Welcome, also this article is now fully protected for two days. Niasoh ❯❯❯ Wanna chat? 18:23, 2 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You're biased like your fellow countryman Cerium4B
46% of all foreign nationals in Mauritius are Bangladeshi citizens
That's a sourced, notable fact
How is that a point of view ?
I'm not going to wait for consensus when the only two people who have an issue with this information happen to be Bangladeshis
I don't actually understand why this statistic bothers you ? Are you ashamed that your countrymen migrate to my country ?
You aren't even interested in improving the Mauritius article, your only point of interest is the removal of one particular information that, unsurprisingly, has a link to you Varoon2542 (talk) 22:07, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Varoon2542, Provide me 2-3 reliable and independent sources (without primary and secondary) that say that 46% of all foreign nationals in Mauritius are Bangladeshi citizens.
Don't personally attack on Wikipedia, saying, Are you ashamed that your countrymen migrate to my country ?". Follow WP:NOPA. Niasoh ❯❯❯ Wanna chat? 22:14, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
"reliable and independent sources"? Like the 2022 NATIONAL CENSUS ? What can be more reliable ?
You're clearly completely clueless on the content on the article
Hello, User talk:El C, I'm not against third party abitration. What do you think ? Is the census a reliable source? Varoon2542 (talk) 22:21, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't see that census reference carefully. Yes, the census is a reliable source, but every country has expats and immigrants; it’s not necessary to mention particular one country percentages in the infobox as your citation mentions this information for more than 17 countries. But can be written inside the article. (the Indian national percentage is bigger than the Bangladeshi one, as you are saying 46% is Bangladeshi [page-143 of your citation]) Niasoh ❯❯❯ Wanna chat? 22:57, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
