Hello. I saw your review on the page I created; for that, I used a pattern similar to the one I utilized for pages with similar subjects (Italian steam locomotives). I'd like to ask wheter you mean that the article needs further citations, as I may have erroneusly put too few of them to not crowd the reference section, or it needs further sources. - Hey, Italianhistorian88. I marked it as needing more citation because of the many unsourced statements made in that article. One of these would be "The round-topped boiler on the first 49 units was a pretty standard one;" in the "Design and Construction" section. And for the too technical tag, that was regarding the sidebar that seems to be a bit too overwhelming for the average reader. As for how to fix these, just add references that back up the statements like the one I presented here and perhaps try and find a way to explain some of the terms and measurements in a way that most people could potentially get a grasp on. --MorbidEntree (talk) 15:53, 20 May 2016 (UTC)

The information about the technical details and the service of the locomotives are all in the pages of the books I've quoted; I refrained to put separate notes for each paragraph because it would have meant adding a bit of "ibidem", and I don't like it. But I can add them nonetheless. As for the sidebar, it's part of the standard template developed by Wikipedia (you can see it here: Template:Infobox locomotive), and it's used for pretty much all locomotive articles; in any case, I believe that enough basic data is provided for the average reader (years and numbers of units built, link to wheelbase meaning, power output, maximum speed allowed, etc.), while the other are useful for railway-minded readers who wish to know more details.Italianhistorian88 (talk) 16:06, 20 May 2016 (UTC)

William Allison Shimer
Thank you for reviewing the new article about William Allison Shimer. You tagged the article as needing more footnotes, and as having insufficient inline citations. Since everything in the body of the article is sourced by at least one footnote, I assume you are directing your comments at the lead paragraph, which doesn't have footnotes.
The lead is a summary of the body of the article and does not require footnotes except in particular specified circumstances. In this regard, please see Wikipedia:Citing sources#When not to cite:
- "Citations are often omitted from the lead section of an article, insofar as the lead summarizes information for which sources are given later in the article, although quotations and controversial statements, particularly if about living persons, should be supported by citations even in the lead."
Also, please see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lead section#Citations:
- "The necessity for citations in a lead should be determined on a case-by-case basis by editorial consensus. Complex, current, or controversial subjects may require many citations; others, few or none. The presence of citations in the introduction is neither required in every article nor prohibited in any article."
In addition, please see the recent discussion at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Lead section#Let's require citations in the lead section, in which the consensus clearly opposes any requirement to include footnotes for noncontroversial, unquoted content in the lead, and many editors note that unnecessary footnotes in the lead impair the readability of articles. In the Shimer article, the lead merely summarizes noncontroversial factual information that is set forth, on a section by section basis, in the body of the article. In light of all this, I'd respectfully like to suggest that you revert your tags concerning the lead. I'm looking for a way to automatically get the number of edits that I have contributed. Preferably a template of some kind since I want to incorporate it into my user space. - If you are not done with writing the article then you should move it to the Draft namespace and add
{{subst:AFC draft|OVO40}}
to the top of the page instead of{{New unreviewed article|date=May 2016}}

Eugeniusz Hejka
Hello. Just an FYI that I took the COI tag off of the page Eugeniusz Hejka. You were right to put it there as it appears that one of his children or grandchildren is editing the page. However, everything they added is entirely correct according to my research (checking references in the article and another related article). I warned them nicely not to edit the article and to leave it to uninvolved parties. The story behind this guy is truly horrendous: he was already in Auschwitz, and tried to have a letter smuggled out as part of an escape effort by someone else. The Nazis found the letter and subjected 1300 prisoners to a standing roll call for twenty (20!) hours, beating them as it progressed. Then the article subject gets sentenced to death with the others... but lives to tell the tale. What a terrible story, In any case I hope you will accept my removal of the COI tag. I'm imagining that anyone in a family with that in their history is probably prety sensitive about it. I'll keep an eye on the article. thanksHappyValleyEditor (talk) 07:55, 26 May 2016 (UTC)

Meyers Manx Page
Hi MorbidEntree, I am frustrated that you keep changing my edits for to reasons: 1. I am citing the website that is run by the company itself, and an off-shoot of that company. The histories on these sites were written by Bruce Meyers himself, who is the inventor of the Meyers Manx and the whole reason we are having this problem. 2. The corrections I am making are at Bruce's request. I work with his 5 days a week and I read the Wiki page to him. He was very upset that there was so much inaccurate information, and I am only trying to fix it. Apparently providing accurate info with legit sources isn't the right way to do this, so if you could let me know how to make the changes stick, I am all ears.
I would also like to add the James Hale published his Dune Buggy Handbook without Bruce's knowledge or consent for how it represented facts about Bruce and his company. If you are using Mr. Hale's book as a guideline for how you control page edits, you are using bad information. Please contact me. I want to clear this up with you so that together we can provide the most accurate and factual representation of Bruce Meyers and is invention, the Meyers Manx. Please message me or email Meyers Manx. You can even call our office and speak with Bruce himself!
- The problem with your edits is that they do not adhere to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy as they are coming from someone (you) who has personal connections to the subject of the article. Also, the website of the company is not a reliable source since it is likely to not be neutral, like a 3rd party news article would be. Is there a way for me to add a link to the top navbar? By the top navbar, I mean the one at the top of every page that has links to your user page, user talk page, sandbox, etc. --MorbidEntree - (Talk to me! (っ◕‿◕)っ♥) 19:53, 26 May 2016 (UTC)
- Since that navbar is on every page anyway, there's not much of a need to link to it on its own, and since it's an integral component of tme MediaWiki software, you cannot link to it without linking to some page on which it is put. If you just want to have a link that points to the top of a page, User talk:MorbidEntree#top should do the trick (though ironically it seems to link to the place just below the navbar, not to the very top). - Sorry, I completely misunderstood the question. Customizing the navbar is possible but rather complicated; I believe you'd need to make use of JavaScript to do so. - I think Template:Infobox dam is appropriate. Per the template page, "Use the following infobox for all types of hydroelectric power stations involving dams." Sn1per (talk) 05:01, 29 May 2016 (UTC)

- Um, it depends on what kind of image it it, and for what purpose. In most cases (99%) I'd say, it would not be ok to upload at all. Some images, such as logos, album covers, and movie posters where no free (of copyright) alternative version can be created or licened, a low resolution can be uploaded locally to the English Wikipedia under the premice of WP:Fair use. However, if it is a photo of a person, where another free (of copyright) image can be produced or released, then that image must be licensed and released by the copyright owner (mot likely the photographer), under a free license, compatible with Wikimedia Commons' license policies. You can not just select a license - the copyrightowner is the one that has the release it under a free licnese. (t) Josve05a (c) 17:03, 31 May 2016 (UTC)

- Well, for the first image (the Dalek), it is a complicated situation. You both need the photographer to relase the image under a free license, as well as the BBC, since it is a derivative work of their intelectual property (3D-artwork). As for the second image, you'd need the photographer to license the image under a free license (see link above). You can not just use the image on Wikipedia, since all content need to be freely licensed (except some fair use images where no other alterative can be made/found/released). - Either they can make a public announcement that they license the image under a specific license and then follow the license reviw procedures on Wikimedia Commons, or they can send in an email to the email volunteer response team; see c:COM:OTRS and Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
