Hi Mooseman7325, I am striking my warning as I now see this was not vandalism. I apologize for my misunderstanding. I did however ultimately remove the section entirely because the content was at best trivia and was either entirely unsourced or poorly sourced. S0091 (talk) 19:23, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, S0091 (talk) 19:23, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks man, Im trying to learn as I go (i learn best by doing that lmao), so I'll keep in mind the whole sandbox feature. Thanks! Mooseman7325 (talk) 19:34, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I understand but its nice to have some kind of documents in case you get stumped with how to do something. Also, I find WP:ERB an easier guide to follow for how to add citations. If you have questions or need help, you can ask at the Teahouse, even if its just to have someone check if you did something correctly or where to find information about how to do something. Information icon Hello, I'm Magnolia677. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Elk Bath, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please do not add original research. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 22:49, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I'm trying to find some reliable sources as to what McColgan (the person who took the photograph) but its kind of difficult. The whole reason I found is was because I was bored one day, saw the photo, and decided I wanted to find it. I found an obscure Treehugger article in which it was stated he took it on a bridge during a fire in the Bitterroot Mountains, specifically the Bitterroot Forrest Fire in August of 2000. I'm a local to the Absaroka Range and the Beartooth Mountains, and I see this photo a LOT, so I went through Google Maps going over every single bridge crossing the Bitterroot River in the general area of the Sula area to find it, and eventually I found it, my proof being the left-leaning pine tree towering above the river on the right side of the photo, with most of the braches on its right side missing, and the lesser developed pine further to the right and in the foreground, cut off by the photo border. I'm 100% sure about this location being the shoot location, but I can't really credit myself doing some Google Maps research, and McColgan hasn't given too many interviews in the past. So how would I go about crediting the shot, with no really credible sources except for myself? Mooseman7325 (talk) 18:34, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Is this what you are looking for? I went to Commons to get the image details then chased the URL down on archive.org. S0091 (talk) 18:55, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Cody, Wyoming, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 23:37, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough. I'll add some refs and sources right now. Mooseman7325 (talk) 00:22, 18 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, thank you for reviewing my article! There isn't to much written about this artist, but its because he's amassed such a following in a relatively short a mount of time. I have an interesting dilema, however. I contacted this person through Twitter, and interviewed them about themselves to add to the article: is there any way that I could use that as a source, or should I find some other method of sourcing, because this artist does deserve to have a Wikipedia page. Mooseman7325 (talk) 20:08, 26 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please read Original research along with Reliable sources. The only sources that can be used are those from reputable publications. If no such sources have written about a subject, then the subject does not warrant a Wikipedia article. S0091 (talk) 21:11, 26 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
