RFA Thanks
Thank you for participating in my RfA, Miranda! | |
I am grateful for your confidence: My RfA passed by a count of 64/3/3, so I am now an administrator! Of course, I plan to conduct my adminship in service of the community, so I believe the community has a right to revoke that privilege at any time. Thus, I will be open for recall under reasonable circumstances. If you have any advice, complaints, or concerns for me, please let me know. Again, Thanks! Mali
Hi, I did that one under my alt account (User:Mangostar) and basically rewrote it in April. I didn't really have any future plans for it--it was just extremely sad when I popped by one day[1] and I figured I'd spruce it up somewhat. Right now I'm working on a Cape Verde article in my sandbox (User:Mangostar/Cape Verde). I could help on some Africa country articles if you're interested in collaborating but generally I feel that GA is more worthwhile than FA, considering that some of the Africa country articles are really quite awful and it seems better to get them all to a passable state first... Hi Miranda. Are you still working on Burundi? If not, I'll go ahead and close the GA review for now. Best always, epicAdam (talk) 00:14, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Many thanks!
Thank you...
...for participating in my RfA, which closed with 119 in support, 4 neutral and 5 opposes. I'm honestly overwhelmed at the level of support that I've received from the community, and will do my best to maintain the trust placed in me. I 'm also thankful to those who opposed or expressed a neutral position, for providing clear rationales and superb feedback for me to build on. I've set up a space for you to provide any further feedback or thoughts, should you feel inclined to. However you voted, thanks for taking the time out to contribute to the process, it's much appreciated. Kind regards, Gazimoff 21:57, 4 August 2008 (UTC) |
KAL2003
For the sake of clarification, let me help you understand why that information was removed from the Alpha Kappa Alpha wiki page miranda. I am a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and the information that was removed is PRIVATE Sorority information. It is NOT approved for dissemination to the public. Therefore as a member of this community- which, I assume, we are all a part of to assist in its betterment- and an initiated member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, I removed the inappropriate information from this website. The fact that you'd 'suggest' that the intent was to vandalize a page written about my own Sorority is not only inaccurate, but also offensive.
Next time, a moment to ask a question about the reason for the edit would be more appropriate. Good day. kal2003 (kal2003)KAL2003 (talk) 13:11, 5 August 2008 (UTC)KAL2003
- First, when you blanked content, I thought it was vandalism. Second, we have members from the sorority adding to the article, and they found that the information was not infringing upon your sorority's guidelines, 1.) suggest an alternative to the poem 2.) e-mail info-en-q@wikimedia.org about the complaint. Thanks, and have a nice day. miranda 19:48, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi there! Wikipedia Spotlight is active again and I was wondering if you wanted to join in? (You're listed as a coordinator). I have added status indicators to coordinators on the Wikipedia:Spotlight/Participants page and wondered if you might consider creating a Special:Mypage/Status page and adapting the parser functions on the participant list to suit. Thanks...... Dendodge .. TalkContribs 21:08, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Ad for WP:M's
Hey Miranda! Our WikiProject just had an ad made, but it doesn't have animation. Seeing that you are an accomplished ad-maker, I was wondering if you could create one and replace it for us? If you could, that would be amazing! Here's the image of the current ad: File:Qxz-ad151.png and if you go here You can see what I was hoping it could look like. Thanks a bunch! Meisfunny Gab How was I? 17:27, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
- No. :-) miranda 20:35, 26 August 2008 (UTC)

I'm confused
Why are you not an admin? I mean, I've seen that you failed your previous RfA but that was a while ago. Are you still as rude as people made out, or would you consider trying again? I've only seen good contributions from you (although to be fair I haven't looked all that far) —Cyclonenim (talk · contribs · email) 22:52, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
