Good Article review progress box
|
1. Well-written
- For the lead, I would have the sentence He has performed extensive charity work for the Professional Footballers' Association, Show Racism the Red Card, and the Free Methodist Church. at the end as opposed to the beginning because his charity work is not the main thing he is known for.
- Also add to the lead how the seasons as manager at Port Vale have gone, since that is where he currently is.
- However, financially the club was in dire straits and player-manager Kerry Dixon had said... Add a comma after "straits"
- ...who said that "Mooro was captain and he was absolutely fantastic for me... Name typo
- That was a nickname, though I have edited round ti to avoid confusion.--EchetusXe 22:00, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- However, the club won just six matches and was relegated in 19th place. Change to "relegated after finishing in 19th place"
- It proved to be his last appearances during his time at the club. Change to "appearance"
- The 2019–20 season was eventually curtailed early and the final league table was calculated... Add a comma after "early"
- ...where the Owls won on penalties, after the tie was locked at 5–5 following a 4–0 win... Remove the come after "penalties"
- He was named as the EFL League Two Manager of the Month after picking up more points... Remove the word "as"
2. Verifiable
Spot check: 5, 8, 14, 18, 25, 29, 32, 33, 48, 52 56, 61, 70, 78, 87, 91, 103, 108, 120, 132 - All fine. AGF on offline and paywalled sources.
- 42: Moore signed for Burton Albion on 7 May 2010, days after his release from Barnsley, rejecting offers from higher-level clubs The source does not include that he rejected other offers.
- Removed that.--EchetusXe 22:00, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- Earwig's Copyvio decetor is at 33.8% for ref. 3. This is not technically a violation, but I suggest some minor word tweaks/rearranging sentences to avoid the amount of copying from this source.
- The picked-up similarities are such basic phrases that it is hard to edit around that.--EchetusXe 22:00, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- Okay, fair enough. I did not see any copyright violations in my spot check. -Riley1012 (talk) 21:03, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
- He made 29 Premier League starts in the 2002–03 season, often partnering Phil Gilchrist at centre-back. However, the club won just six matches and was relegated in 19th place. The club secured an immediate return to the Premier League, again finishing in second. Despite injury limiting Moore to just 23 appearances in the 2003–04 campaign, he did score in important wins against both Sheffield United and Crystal Palace. The 2004–05 season saw Bryan Robson replace Gary Megson as manager. Club captain Moore found himself struggling to overcome a knee injury as one of the Danish duo Martin Albrechtsen and Thomas Gaardsøe tended to be paired with converted left-back Neil Clement in the first XI. All of this needs a source.
- Have re-written that section.--EchetusXe 22:00, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- County ended the 2005–06 season 20th in the Championship under the stewardship of caretaker manager Terry Westley, with Moore playing 14 games. Source?
- It proved to be his last appearances during his time at the club. Source?
- Ref. 29 needs the author's name added
- Dead links that need to be archived: 7 and 50
3. Broad
- For the international career section, did anything happen after the suspension was lifted?
- I cannot find any information. The other 4 appear to have played afterwards so I assume Moore just wasn't judged good enough to play more games.--EchetusXe 22:00, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- How was he qualified to play internationally for Jamaica? You can add this information to the early life or the international career section.
- I cannot find any information regarding this, though it is to be assumed it is through his parent/s.--EchetusXe 22:00, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- The style of play section needs to either be expanded or deleted.
- The source is dead so I removed it.--EchetusXe 22:00, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- All of this is fine to me. If the information is not there, it isn't there. I was just trying to see if there was anything else that could be added. -Riley1012 (talk) 21:03, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
4. Neutral
No neutrality concerns.
5. Stable
There are no ongoing edit wars and the article is stable day-to-day.
6. Illustrated
The two images used have an appropriate license, are relevant, and have suitable captions.
Hi @EchetusXe: I have completed my review and have left my suggestions in bullet points. -Riley1012 (talk) 22:10, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
- Okay thank you I have responded to them.--EchetusXe 22:00, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
