An article you recently created, West Beach Parks Football Centre, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 10:23, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

2020 FSA Federation Cup

[edit]

I'm very unsure that 2020 FSA Federation Cup deserves its own article in Wikipedia, whereas the following years' competition certainly does. Given that the competition was cancelled before it commenced. The bulk of the article is the round 1 details of matches that were never played. To me this article does not meet WP:GNG at all (whereas the following years' competition does). The previous redirect to the 2020 Football_South Australia season#2020 Federation Cup section seems entirely appropriate: Matilda Maniac (talk) 01:19, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah all good, i've rolled it back to the redirect. Milkk7 (talk) 01:21, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Glad you agree. Also note that an article creator should not rate their own article on the Talk page. Let others do this task . . . it will happen eventually. I have been ticked-off for doing this myself on some articles i created (but im not exactly sure where the policy information is to back this up). November Articles for creation backlog drive

[edit]

Hello Milkk7:

WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than 2 months outstanding reviews from the current 4+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 November 2023 through 30 November 2023.

You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.

Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.

There is a backlog of over 1800 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 13:24, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Milkk7. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "West Beach Parks Football Centre".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Likely there is insufficient 'traffic' at the FFSA Super League or National Premier Leagues South Australia articles' talk pages to provide a meaningful, balanced discussion or result in terms of your merge proposal. I suggest that if you want to follow up with discussion to a wider, relevant audience, you bring it up at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football. Category:Australian association football cup seasons

[edit]

Please see Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2024 March 20#Category:Australian association football cup seasons.

I have a wider concern that you seem to have created various related categories without parenting them properly. When you create a category, please look around the existing hierarchies to see which current categories logically intersect in the new category, and add all of those as parents.

In the case of Category:Australian association football cup seasons, you created that as a blank page with no parents. Surely you realise that that's unhelpful?

On the other hand, if it has no parents then it will eventually get reviewed by a more experienced editor, whereas if you create it with one parent like Category:Football SA Federation Cup seasons, it could remain like that indefinitely.

So, please do the work yourself to add multiple parents. Depending on the topic, there might be more than two applicable hierarchies. – Fayenatic London 16:49, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Vincent Tarzia 2024.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Vincent Tarzia 2024.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 05:22, 17 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
