Help with editor on Moor
There is a problem editor on Moors and I can safely say that as many editors have identified the once ip editor as such. It is an odd problem, not 100% one way, but they are making edits which others have said do not improve the article, deleting ref they do not like (and making no sense with their arguments). refusing to seek agreement, or use the mechanisms of wikipedia to verify information. On top of that the English quality introduced to the article is terrible. The tactic is to overload the page with prolix text to exhaust editors.--Inayity (talk) 14:44, 27 January 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks; I'll have a look. Best, Middayexpress (talk) 16:56, 27 January 2014 (UTC)
- We have agreed a cessation to hostilities LOL. I rarely get into these edit wars but lately been worn down by being the only long standing editor on articles and you get so many new editors coming in and making a mess. Then they go, and you are left exhausted. most of these issues could easily be fixed with more senior editors per article. another one to watch Persecution of Traditional African Religion--Inayity (talk) 17:35, 27 January 2014 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for January 28
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Idil Ibrahim, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Berkeley High School (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Districts of Ethiopia may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.
- List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
- '''Districts''' or '''''woreda''''' {{lang-am|ወረዳ}}) (also spelled '''''wereda''''') are the third-level [[administrative division]]s of [[Ethiopia]].

Not enough edits to be sure. However, the images were copyright violations and I tagged all, on Commons, but two that I couldn't find. And eventually was able to give them a warning. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 02:08, 30 January 2014 (UTC)

Doubt that this is a coincidence, but it appears that يوسف حسين/Kendite has made a new account called " YemenWarriorBoy" (haha, could he not think of a better name?!?). He has gone to report us and Inaytiy and Til Eulenspiegel on the Administrators' noticeboard. AcidSnow (talk) 17:45, 30 January 2014 (UTC)

Somali Civil War and "c/e"
Middayexpress, you were queried before for your use of 'c/e', which I understand is copyedit, to describe removing and changing statistics. (Talk:Somali Civil War#Disagregated death data for 2012 from Uppsala Conflict Data Program) Recently this this edit, whose edit summary read 'format, c/e' also changed the meaning of the text, removing, for example, all mention of UNOSOM II in the formation of local administrations. Please ensure that your edit summaries are accurate: if you're changing the text and meaning, say so, and be careful to remain WP:NPOV, neutral point of view. Please do not attempt to change what the text says while implying simply that you are rearranging it. Regards Buckshot06 (talk) 06:24, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
- "c/e" means copyedit. It's certainly better than leaving no edit summary, which is what many editors I noticed do. A lot of the material was also copied verbatim from the links, so it required significant redacting. Regards, Middayexpress (talk) 15:30, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
Somali Armed Forces and "c/e"
Middayexpress, three times you have removed mentions of the Military of the Khartumo Republic in the Somali Armed Forces article, twice using the misleading edit summary "c/e". First was this, second was this, and the third, in which you were a little more honest and said 'rv' was this. I've checked the talk page and found no effort to engage the other editor. Thus I have reinserted the link, and should you wish to remove it, start a discussion on the talkpage. I remain concerned about your conduct on this article; I had to have a long discussion with you about distorting citations last year, and now you are removing wikilinks under the guise of 'copyediting'. Review your conduct and change it please, or I will have to bring in an uninvolved administrator. Regards Buckshot06 (talk) 06:52, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
- You, myself and two other editors did have a discussion in the past, and it's stored on the talk page. At any rate, I indeed removed the links since there were no such wiki pages. Regards, Middayexpress (talk) 15:30, 10 February 2014 (UTC)

- What is the point of the AN discussion as all we have done is list his inappropriate behavior? Should we vote along with admins with the option of him being given a third chance (still don't see what good will come out) and the other being topic ban? This way we can speed up the discussion since it has been 4 days. AcidSnow (talk) 22:21, 11 February 2014 (UTC)
- You might want add to his second edit warring to the ANI or at least inform them that he has done this before. Also tell them that this is not his alone inappropriate behavior while asking for a ban/indefinite block against him. AcidSnow (talk) 20:07, 13 February 2014 (UTC)

Somali armed forces and civil war articles
Hello, I've noticed that your edits to these articles seem to put an unduly positive "spin" on things. For instance, in your most recent edit to the Somali Civil War article [1] you removed material sourced to a January 2013 academic journal article by Laura Hammond in which she argued that "[M]uch of rural Somalia remains in the hands of al-Shabaab" and replaced it with more positive material sourced to a November 2012 news story which argues that 85% of the country was under government control at the time. You did not provide a rationale for this change (especially removing material outright rather than noting differing viewpoints) and I'm wondering why you made this change? Nick-D (talk) 03:35, 15 February 2014 (UTC)
- I provided a detailed rationale on the talk page at the time of the edit. The 85% figure is also from an official source, the former UN Special Representative for Somalia. Regards, Middayexpress (talk) 20:00, 15 February 2014 (UTC)
- Middayexpress, I remain increasingly concerned about your distortions of sources in both these articles. Beyond the issue of the TFG's security forces in Mogadishu in December 2006-January 2007, these include putting words in the mouth of a senior Ethiopian official, who did not say that Ethiopia had 8,000 troops in Somalia in November 2013, distorting a meeting between Italian and Somali officials in 2012 into a claim that Somali had started rebuilding its air force in 2000-2010, and inventing aircraft numbers and entire aircraft from the Library of Congress Country Study. Why do you continually readd the SM-1019s that are not listed in the Country Study? Buckshot06 (talk) 05:34, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
- Mufti said Ethiopian forces in Somalia would join AMISOM, and they at the time numbered 8,000 troops per the link [2]. As for the SM-1019s, they are certainly listed, so I'm not sure why you removed them (or the SF-260W and MiG-15 UTI inventories for that matter, which are also listed). Regards, Middayexpress (talk) 19:10, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
