A tag has been placed on File:Paul Pedana at the New York Fashion.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.  Karma Technologies has been deleted
Hello, Metalduky54. Thank you for helping to build Wikipedia-- the world's largest free content encyclopedia. I'm sorry, but  Karma Technologies has been deleted as meeting WP:CSD#G11. "This applies to pages that are exclusively promotional and would need to be fundamentally rewritten to conform with Wikipedia:NOTFORPROMOTION." These must be rewritten from scratch from "reliable, third party sources unconnected to the subject." See WP:RS.

Wikipedia:Identifying blatant advertising#Typical signs of blatant advertising contains information about content to avoid. For more information on content that may be perceived as promotional, click User:Deepfriedokra/promo. These are just rough guides. Pages can avoid all those pitfalls and still be glaringly obvious ad copy. Sometimes pages meeting WP:CSD#G11 give the appearance of an editor violating Wikipedia:Conflict of interest or WP:PAID. Please read and heed them if they apply to you. Please read Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations.

There is a very common mistake of assuming that the prohibition against promotional editing applies only to promotion for commercial gain, but that is not so. Sometimes creators of promotional content are bewildered that it is considered such. If one has been trained to write or spent some time writing corporate documents or mission/vision statements or anything similar, they may simply be blind to the promotionality. It can be hard to unlearn.

Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and providing verifiable information. That generally means someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written a great deal about the subject. Please see Wikipedia:Citing sources . Template:cite has templates you can use in citing your sources. Place the template {{references}} at the bottom of the page, and references cited in the text will appear there.

The new user tutorial can help you avoid future problems. Please see WP:42 and WP:CORP. -- Deepfriedokra 07:36, 20 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation: Tetrogen (November 11)

[edit]
Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Gobonobo was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: I found zero reliable sources that discuss this dietary supplement. As Thjarkur already noted, none of the references in this article are actually about Tetrogen.

Your new article has been moved to draft space

[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia and creating the Evan asano article! However, this article has been moved back into the draft space so you and others can continue working on it. Asano may be notable, but at present, the article does not reference any sources, meaning its notability cannot be verified. For information about proving notability for a person, see Wikipedia:Notability (people). Take care, Significa liberdade (talk) 07:19, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Evan Asano, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Information icon

Hello Metalduky54. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Metalduky54. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Metalduky54|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 14:04, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @331dot,
I appreciate your concern for maintaining the integrity of Wikipedia. However, I would like to clarify that my edits to the Ashneer Grover page were not financially motivated. I have not received any compensation, direct or indirect, for the information I contributed.
My sole intention was to provide valuable information to the Wikipedia community. The content was thoroughly researched and prepared with a neutral perspective to maintain the objectivity and neutrality that Wikipedia stands for. I hold Wikipedia's policies in the highest regard and will continue to make contributions in compliance with these guidelines. Metalduky54 (talk) 14:30, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You didn't create the draft; it's not easy to find a draft unless you already know about it. 331dot (talk) 14:34, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your response. I would like to add that the information I have contributed about Ashneer Grover is readily accessible to anyone who conducts a simple search on Wikipedia. I have merely complied this information in a comprehensive and objective manner to facilitate understanding for Wikipedia users. I truly appreciate your dedication to preserving Wikipedia's integrity. Metalduky54 (talk) 14:39, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't ask you where you got your information, I wanted to know how you knew the draft existed in order to edit about it.
In looking at some of your other edits. I see that you uploaded this image and claimed it as your own work, but it appears to be professionally taken. Please clarify. 331dot (talk) 14:46, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your patience. In regards to the Ashneer Grover's draft, I has no knowledge of its existence until I decided write about him.
I was looking for some information about Ashneer Grover and noticed there was nothing about him in Wikipedia. So I decided to contribute an article about him in Wikipedia. When I tried to create a new article its then that I discovered that a draft already exists. Metalduky54 (talk) 15:15, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. And the image I asked about? 331dot (talk) 15:21, 20 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Regarding the image query, I'd like to clarify that the image was given to me by a close friend, Mark. I was assisting him in setting up a page for his wife, Domenica, and he provided this image for that purpose.
Mark assured me that the image was taken by a professional photographer who gave them the rights to use it as they please. Since the image was directly provided to me, I uploaded it as my own. However, I understand the need for proper attribution. If it is within the Wikipedia guidelines, I would like to update the author details and credit the actual photographer for their work. Please guide me on how to proceed without violating any rules. Metalduky54 (talk) 08:52, 23 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You must disclose your conflict of interest(click for instructions) with Domenica Leibowitz(since you are in communication with her husband).
You must first immediately remove the image from the article and request its deletion from Commons as not having the appropriate copyright. Image copyrights are typically held by the photographer, not the person depicted(or their representative). Your options here are
  1. have the copyright holder upload the image
  2. show that the image was previously released under a copyright permitting anyone to use it for any purpose with attribution, such as on a website(we can't just take your word for this).
  3. have Mark take an image of Domenica and upload it himself to Commons.
