Re: Eneco
I believe most of the main cycling journalists are at the Olympics covering the track events, so that's probably why the sites' coverage of the race is a bit below standard. I only do spiels for the single-day races, no reviews and that. I much prefer the stage races over them. Mind you, of the ten races left in the World Tour (including the Eneco), there are only four stage races left: Eneco, Vuelta, and the Chinese races. Hmph. Craig(talk) 07:05, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- Well, he certainly exploded that race into life with four in a week! Craig(talk) 07:07, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
- Definitely wasn't me! Craig(talk) 18:21, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
- Work is Daily Mail, publisher is Associated Newspapers and agency is Associated Press. If you ever see AP or AFP in an article, stick that as the agency. Ah, poor Gijs! Hilarious but...haha! Craig(talk) 18:54, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
- No problem at all! Craig(talk) 19:20, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
- It was clear to see on the race coverage; he took a water bottle inside of the final 20 kilometres, which is an absolute no-no! I'm currently doing the stage report at present, and hadn't got to that point yet. Mention of time penalty here, but with Orica's team page under refurbishment, it doesn't help matters. Greetings. Could you please give the article a quick run-through and improve the English so that some things are clearer? I believe it was translated from French, but the grammar and vocabulary seem to be heavily influenced by French, to the extent of hindering understanding in some instances. Thank you. wctaiwan (talk) 01:31, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you very much. I do think it's clearer. And yes, I saw the interaction between you and a mutual friend, recognised the signature style and figured it'd be you. It goes without saying that you're a much better Wikipedian than I am an Uncyclopedian. :P wctaiwan (talk) 05:10, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
Re:This barnstar
Top 10 for all races, I feel. Maybe Top 20s for the GTs, but I'm not too sure. Stage victories only too. Craig(talk) 18:31, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
- Got all those transfers! Craig(talk) 20:06, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
- GP Quebec looks good. I honestly think that Contador will win the Vuelta; he looked pretty handy at the Eneco, and of course, he has won the Vuelta before (2008). That and the fact that the climbers will love the parcours. Froome has a decent team around him, with good domestiques in Porte, Urán and Henao, but I just feel that it'll be the second step of the podium once again. Purito for third, with TT km (56) costing him again. Craig(talk) 07:01, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
- Yep; another stage race that will require my attention! I'll be able to watch the weekend stages live, but work prevents from doing so during the week. But I'll remedy that from articles. Just a sign of maturity, then; encyclopedia-wise! Craig(talk) 19:46, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

- Degenkolb unleashes beast mode on the Vuelta; deserved it. Seems like he and Kittel are having a battle for most wins for Argos this year; 9–7 in the latter's favour. Ah, the battle of Peña Cabarga. The best finish to any Grand Tour stage of the 62 competitive (yes I know, it was 63 in total, but one was a processional tribute for obvious reasons) stages in 2011. Craig(talk) 18:42, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
- He was angry, as I stated here. Running short of time before travelling to work, but it's definitely on the character map! Ouch, sounds sore; like you, I've had a lucky escape on a bike too. Had to ditch and ended up with an egg lump on my head for six weeks, when I was eight. Craig(talk) 07:08, 23 August 2012 (UTC)

Shaping up well already; not bad for a first week as GTs go. Armstrong shenanigans has opened up an almighty can of worms...a damaging one at that. Craig(talk) 00:25, 26 August 2012 (UTC)

Hey! This nomination template has been looked over and since the reviewer suggested a hook, ONLY THE HOOK needs to be looked over by another new reviewer. The rest of the article has been surely taken care of. If you have the time to just check it out, please do so. Thanks. Khyati Gupta (talk) 19:50, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

Re:Team
Yeah, it is very satisfying, isn't it? Mind you, you do get used to it when you've been editing as long as I have...which is rather long. Craig(talk) 07:02, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
- Five-second advantage or an advantage of five seconds. Purito living up to the King of the Ramps moniker; although, Saturday, Sunday and Monday will change the race I feel... Craig(talk) 06:47, 31 August 2012 (UTC)
Re:Hey!
Thank you very much for that; still 28 seconds between Purito and El Pistolero...it's really going to come down to Saturday at Bola del Mundo. The Cuitu Negru element of the climb was new, the final 2.5 kilometres or so...but the bit to Valgrande-Pajares was not new. Heras won there in 2005, before losing his overall title due to EPO. Stage is a hard one to synonym with... Feel free to cover them; I'll be watching them, but I'll have Vuelta 19 & 21 still to write, and Britain stage 1. Busy weekend. Then the Worlds after that! Craig(talk) 07:10, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
- Well, apparently we didn't need Bola del Mundo after all. Inevitable that Contador was going to do that, but not in a manner like that. It was awesome riding. I can't see him losing it now. Scotland has a lot of national races, but no major UCI races, except for a stage of the Tour of Britain. Craig(talk) 03:26, 6 September 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, the start list seems to get better each year. Most folk still on an Olympic high by the looks of it; but should be a good eight days worth of racing. Ah yeah, nice little hotel that! Now, that'll be quite an interesting read. I see from one of the book-seller pages here that it will published later in the month, so that may be going on my book case as well. Craig(talk) 03:38, 6 September 2012 (UTC)
- I've just been beyond busy of late. Ever since Friday, I've just been swamped with things at work, catching up television that I missed and doing other things... Yeah, it's only about nine points between him and Wiggins in the World Tour points. Not much in it. This year's Giro could never been summed up in just 15 minutes! Craig(talk) 07:07, 13 September 2012 (UTC)
- Tour of Britain has been surprisingly good this year; Boom dominated last year, but this year, the lead has changed every day so far [I shall not give away the leader at the end of today's stage, prior to your watching of it]. Awesome. As is that Curaçao national champion jersey. Perfect colour combination. Craig(talk) 21:01, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
- No, he didn't...and the irony is that Endura and NetApp are merging ahead of next season. Although, Tiernan-Locke won't be with the team as he likely moves World Tour...These climbs are small compared to the big mountains of the Tour, Vuelta and Giro. 454 metres (1,490 ft) is the highest which will be tomorrow. Break out the tumbleweed for that joke! Craig(talk) 21:56, 14 September 2012 (UTC)
- Just follow this template and some of the instructions. Look through some of the team data to attribute the following year. Craig(talk) 21:23, 20 September 2012 (UTC)

I liked what you added, except for the quote from Riis. I don't know but it just sort of out of place/not necessary to me, but other than that you're fine. Great additions! I love me some Contador, I still don't believe he didn't dope and that he shouldn't have lost all those titles, with the exception of the 2010 Tour. But I'm happy for Contador, but Purito owned the race for the first sixteen stages. Disc Wheel (Malk + Montributions) 20:49, 6 September 2012 (UTC)

Hi! I would like to know if there is any way of changing my username while keeping all my contributions history intact? In articles' history too? Would my signature that is already on people's talk pages link to the "new" userpage? I chose this name way back and it is hard to pronounce physically as well as mentally. I missed the race due to other circumstances, but looked pretty hectic! 0 °C (32 °F) and there's your Celsius to Fahrenheit conversion. Craig(talk) 17:28, 1 October 2012 (UTC)
- Most of the RCS races (Giro, Tirreno, Lombardia) frequently get interrupted by picture breakup. Just common place. Mind you, their picture quality is superb when it does run fluently. Yeah, not many races left...almost time for cyclo-cross season! Craig(talk) 07:07, 2 October 2012 (UTC)

- You have a further reply there. Thank you for your thoughts on the Cyberbullying essay. I'm actually not sure what to do in order to release it into the wild. I drafted it when angry over the suicides in the USA that caused the It Gets Better Project to start and Spirit Day to be created. I let it lie dormant hoping someone would find it and consider elevating it. Might you be that someone? I possess the self assurance to promote it myself, but feel it would be better coming from one or more folk who think it has value independently.
- That essay gives you a clue regarding my calm approach to Wikipedia, I think :). The only thing here that genuinely matters is bullying. The rest is merely a social experiment in creating a decent encyclopaedia. 18:47, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
- Well, it is now in Wikipedia: space. I hope it flourishes there and causes something real and productive to come from it. I haven't created the 'usual' shortcuts etc, not that I don't know how to do it, but I'm not sure how appropriate they are to create. If you feel it needs support there, and I know this is a topic you feel as strongly about as I do, please feel free to support it, change it, do whatever is necessary to it.
- As you know I am not wedded to it in its current state at all. It is just a start point. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 09:31, 21 October 2012 (UTC)

Tracey Gaudry vote at Cycling Australia's Annnual General Meeting
You say it was important for people to know about how Ms. Gaudry was elected, therefore you should write that at the A.G.M. there was a vote as to who was to be Australia's nominee, and that only 3 out of 8 Australian States voted for her. Very undemocratic to say the least.

Ag2r and Astana are done for the 2013 rosters, with templates on all riders' pages that apply. UCI codes might also be moved; should be fun! This while flicking between two college football bowls. Hello helper, I'm currently writing the 2013 Tour of California (event in progress) and I have a hard time getting pictures, I'd like to have one for each stage, but the commons of Wikipedia only have 2 pics pertaining to that article. I'm don't know how commons work much, could there be pictures in there that are not categorized in the Tour_of_California_2013 category that I missed? I searched the best I can, maybe I just don't know how, also, all the pics on flickr seem to be off-limits for WP... Thanks in advance :) Mattaidepikiw (Talk) 00:02, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
- Yes that is possible. You had best ask the folks over at the Commons though. The help-me template only flags editors from the English Wikipedia. Mkdwtalk 01:29, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
