Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Markmccartney2a, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was Mina Habchi, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! 2A00:23EE:2678:4134:24FC:9BFF:FEF4:2932 (talk) 12:38, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Sir, thank you very much for your feedback. I've rephrased the whole article to reflect the encyclopedic tone used on Wikipedia. Markmccartney2a (talk) 14:01, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There are still a number of phrases with an unacceptable subjective tone:
  • "Her engaging content and unique style"
  • "Through her visually appealing posts and insightful captions, she inspired and connected with her audience, becoming a trusted source for fashion and lifestyle advice"
  • "Habchi's commitment to delivering high-quality material solidified her reputation as a versatile and talented entrepreneur"
  • "leveraging her expertise and online presence to create impactful partnerships"
  • "Her videos have garnered a loyal following and expanded her reach"
  • "Passionate about vintage designer furniture"
Wikipedia articles are supposed to be devoid of appeal to emotions, and written by a disinterested third party with no vested interest in the topic. The aforementioned phrases sound more like the writing of a public relations person using peacock words to make subjective proclamations about her importance.
Do you have a personal or professional affiliation with Mina Habchi? --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:14, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
hello, thank you for your feedback. I've rewritten the article in an objective tone. No, i do not have a personal or professional affiliation with Mina Habchi whatsoever. She's been covered in various magazines for a while and thought it would be fair for her to be on Wikipedia as her biography is significantly requested on Google Search. Markmccartney2a (talk) 17:41, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry but it's still not objective enough. It also overuses primary sources (sources affiliated with the subject), and the LA Weekly sources looks to have been co-written with a public relations company. Also, a large number of hits on a search engine is no guarantee that the subject is notable enough for inclusion in Wikipedia. I've moved it to the draft article space so that it can be worked on and then reviewed by third-party editors. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 00:43, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Mina Habchi moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Mina Habchi, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
