Rollback granted

[edit]

Hi Maliner. After reviewing your request, I have temporarily enabled rollback on your account until 2023-06-18. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or RedWarn.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 18:28, 17 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @HJ Mitchell, Hope you are doing well. You told me to see you so that you will reevaluate my rollbacks. You are kindly requested to have a look. Maliner (talk) 16:08, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Pending changes reviewer granted

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.

Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

Advocatur Seeger, Frick & Partner

[edit]

Hi - Just letting you know I have put Draft:Advocatur Seeger, Frick & Partner onto review as I have added independent sources and removed more ambiguous reference material, as per your recommendation on my own talk page. Would be great if this could be put through. Thanks - TheBritinator (talk) 22:15, 26 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

hi, why the page was cancelled? I just translated from the italian one. Kimbamy (talk) 18:09, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Kimbamy I have mentioned the reason in my move summary. We need WP:SIRS. Maliner (talk) 14:05, 30 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
thanks. since I am not an expert what if i do again a draft and I put a tag WP:SIRS so that sombody can check if it can be a page ? thank you in advance Kimbamy (talk) 15:22, 30 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Kimbamy Nope. This is not the way. You need to add WP:SIRS. It means you need to add sources which are independent, reliable and secondary which discussed the subject in detail (See WP:Sigcov). And submit the daft for review. Maliner (talk) 15:26, 30 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, very clear. Have a nice evening. 93.35.147.158 (talk) 15:47, 30 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

November Articles for creation backlog drive

[edit]

Hello Maliner:

WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than 2 months outstanding reviews from the current 4+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 November 2023 through 30 November 2023.

You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.

Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.

There is a backlog of over 1700 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 13:24, 31 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Why was the Peter Pauper Press page removed? Savagecrybaby (talk) 20:39, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Savagecrybaby I think I have already explained it in my move summary and on your talk that why was your older version of draft was not suitable for mainspace. Anyways, your draft was reviewed by another experienced reviewer Rich Smith who has provided much better explaination while declining it. Maliner (talk) 16:15, 4 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable sources q's

[edit]

Hi there, thank you for such a speedy review of the Draft:Valery Fradkov I was trying to submit. I’ve read the articles about the sources and still not sure what should I add for this article to be submitted. Like, for example, will it help to include the medical websites where Dr Fradkov is listed as a practicing therapist? I didn’t think so. What about professional interviews with him? Like this - htt ps://link.chtbl.com/greenpillvalery or this - https://link.chtbl.com/greenpillvalery

SmartLis (talk) 17:12, 24 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@SmartLis: You might want to read WP:RS. No interviews do not count for notability as they are considered to be as WP:Primary Source. We need independent, secondary and reliable sources having in-depth coverage of your subject. You might also want to read WP: referencing for beginners. Hope this helps. Maliner (talk) 17:23, 24 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Got it thanks. I followed this {{cite journal}}: Empty citation (help) for magazines, academic journals, and papers - and added at least 10 links but I don’t see them now in the draft.
Like these: 1) https://www.researchgate.net/publication/270542918_Effect_of_Surface_and_Grain-Boundary_Diffusion_on_Interconnect_Reliability?_tp=eyJjb250ZXh0Ijp7ImZpcnN0UGFnZSI6InByb2ZpbGUiLCJwYWdlIjoicHJvZmlsZSJ9fQ
2) https://www.researchgate.net/publication/294777803_AUTOMATED_ANALYSIS_OF_CELLULAR_STRUCTURES
Still not good? SmartLis (talk) 17:41, 24 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
SmartLis. Ah, it seems Bbb23 has nominated it for quick deletion. You need to cut down on the promotional tone from there if you want to improve it. Maliner (talk) 17:59, 24 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I saw that. Honestly, no idea why Im still here ) I tried to publish a first page. Learn and grow. Wikipedia is BIG. And I mean REALLY BIG. so many people, so many companies, so many everything. I met a person worth being mentioned/remembered , or so I thought. no promotions here. sorry to bother. I get it. you guys are doing a fantastic job. I just tried to be a part of this amazing community in my ‘spare’ time. again, sorry for wasting your time. thanks for the guidance. SmartLis (talk) 18:10, 24 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for participating in AfC November 2023 Backlog Drive

[edit]
The Working Wikipedian's Barnstar
Thank you for your participation in the Articles for Creation's November 2023 Backlog Drive! You made a total of 51 reviews, for a total of 51 points. – robertsky (talk) 06:51, 25 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Note: reissued to include 15 deleted reviews which were not included in the participation log as indicated at User:Maliner/AfC_log, which bumped the score from 36 to 51, assuming at least 1 point was accorded to each deleted review as I am unable to look at the deleted drafts to ascertain if additional points were to be given. – robertsky (talk) 09:07, 25 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

REMAP-CAP speedy deletion

[edit]

Thank you for the quick review of the article REMAP-CAP trial. After looking at similar Wikipedia sources (such as the PANORAMIC trial) and reading some of your previous responses to people, I think I only used primary sources and need to add news articles as secondary sources. Could I please have the draft undeleted so I have the opportunity to implement these changes as well as any others that need to be implemented. CrazyRedOctopus (talk) 15:33, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@CrazyRedOctopus: Since it is deleted under G11, It can't be refunded per WP:Requests for undeletion. Next time you write a draft, please try to write in a neutral tone instead of promoting one to prevent it from being deleted again. Maliner (talk) 16:43, 29 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Maliner kindly reply me — Syed A. Hussain Quadri (talk) 06:28, 1 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@QuadriOnMobile: I will be back to you in an hour or two. Please be patient. I'm a bit busy off-Wiki. 😞 Maliner (talk) 07:28, 1 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Maliner -- I'd actually seen this one, but it doesn't seem quite glaringly promotional enough for me to delete in draftspace, particularly as the creator is not trying to submit it at present. As it's not an area I know anything about, I'd left the tag in place so that someone more expert could look into it. Cheers, Espresso Addict (talk) 08:24, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your response @Espresso Addict. Actually, this was the version which I have tagged for speedy deletion. It appears they have made some amendments to it after my tagging. Maliner (talk) 08:29, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thank you for your contributions. I note your recent removal of several entries at WP:RMT [1]. If a technical request is contested, a requested move must be opened; removing the threads without discussion, as you did here, is improper. 162 etc. (talk) 19:46, 5 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@162 etc.: You said that if a technical request is contested, a requested move must be opened; removing the threads without discussion, as you did here, is improper. Unless I am missing something, it is completely optional for a requester to open a requested move for a controversial move, and the RM noticeboard discussion is not an infinite host for those debates; instead, it should go to the article's talk page. As far as I know, those requests that I have archived were stale and were unanswered on the noticeboard for more than 24 hours. Maliner (talk) 00:44, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Per WP:RMT: "If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move." 162 etc. (talk) 17:24, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@162 etc.: And creating an RMT is not the duty of the page mover. The RM noticeboard is not the correct place to open an RMT. It should go on the article's talk page. Maliner (talk) 17:30, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Contested requests get discussed. Please do not remove the request before opening a discussion. Thank you for your continued contributions to the encyclopedia. 162 etc. (talk) 17:39, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@162 etc.: This is literally pompous. Maliner (talk) 17:42, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And stale requests are removed. Also, it is not compulsory that every contested request have its own RMT. Maliner (talk) 17:48, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Robertsky: I literally learned a new thing today. Maliner (talk) 17:44, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Maliner you might have cleared the entries too soon though. And even if it is not the responsibility of non-requestor to open the discuss, it is a courtesy and typical for pagemovers to open it if the discussion is leading somewhere, i.e. the responses aren't a total shutdown. Personally I leave entries for up to 3 days in case there are editors who wants to open the discussion. I would also sometimes revisit these entries as well. – robertsky (talk) 02:44, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

El on a bender

[edit]

Hey, what the fuck? It's not my fault the story's nonsensical, I didn't translate it! You wanna tell me you deleted my article while you're at it? Be more polite next time. https://imgur.com/uDuq0Ji is your proof. Temerarius (talk) 03:05, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I think you volunteered to do copyediting on my draft until it's up to snuff. What do you think, can you show me how it's done? Temerarius (talk) 03:15, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Temerarius (talk) 03:05, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Temerarius,
Your article isn't deleted, it's simply moved to Draft space which is what happens with articles that don't have sufficient sourcing. It isn't a slight, it's a way of saving your article so it isn't tagged for speedy deletion. Liz Read! Talk! 03:39, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@ OP did you complain to the admins that I called you out? LMAO Liz, OP said deletion for hoax. That's a presumption of bad faith. Don't get me bogged down in petty discussions. Help me find art and papers for articles or leave me alone. Temerarius (talk) 03:51, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Temerarius, there is no need for one to complain to admins if this page is already on their Watchlist for one reason or another. (mine is because I had given out a barnstars here) – robertsky (talk) 04:47, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Liz, let me put it this way. I post about controversial topics, and if I don't show that I have a spine, I'll be in trouble. Do you understand what I mean by that? Conservatives try to clean up after me to make the truth more traditional. I got little patience for poorly written apologetic scholarship. You can see how little patience I got. Temerarius (talk) 04:06, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks
