Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Spider-Man: No Way Home, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. —El Millo (talk) 16:10, 7 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Biographies of living people, use citations

[edit]

You added unsourced personal information to Max Verstappen, please have a look at WP:BLP. Any such information you add needs to be supported by a reliable source otherwise it's in breach of Wikipedia policy. Please keep this in mind for the future. --TylerBurden (talk) 03:13, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unreferenced or poorly referenced biographical content, especially if controversial, to articles or any other Wikipedia page. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Max Verstappen. Please do NOT use Instagram as a source for anything. You did that on Lando Norris too, where you claimed a "cryptic caption" "appear[ed] to confirm the pair were in a relationship". First of all, NO Instagram; second, no original research. PLEASE read WP:RS and WP:BLP and act accordingly. Finally, we are not the tabloid press, so please keep that relationship gossip and speculation on Facebook. Drmies (talk) 18:22, 4 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from 2022 Formula One World Championship into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. SSSB (talk) 18:23, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi MKL123! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of 1957 Pescara Grand Prix several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:1957 Pescara Grand Prix, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. FozzieHey (talk) 17:50, 15 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, MKL123. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "sandbox/List of Formula One Grand Prix wins by Max Verstappen".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:51, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Max Verstappen shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Information icon Hello, I'm Paper9oll. I noticed that you recently removed content from 2023 Formula One World Championship without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. [edit]

Stop adding what drivers say in their comment. This is not an interview website, again. Island92 (talk) 20:17, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Who cares for what they say? There is the press Conference for that, not Wikipedia, which is an encyclopedia first.--Island92 (talk) 20:20, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Take what they say for yourself, and not posting what they think here. Thank you.--Island92 (talk) 20:20, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I strongly disagree pre-race comments provide important background context for a weekend . Pre-race comments are an encyclopedic thing in my opinion. This should be allowed as part of the accepted wiki template. MKL123 (talk) 20:44, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No. For that you can look for a website which takes care of F1 news and interview for example, rather than navigating on Wikipedia which normally reports more generic information of its articles. Island92 (talk) 20:50, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia needs to be less generic to be a better encyclopedia. MKL123 (talk) 20:53, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Less generic does not mean adding every word involved provived by team principal and drivers. Wikipedia acting like a press conference website? That is not the case. Island92 (talk) 20:57, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
These words provide better context where do I put in an appeal to get this material reinstated MKL123 (talk) 20:59, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
For which purpose to get it reinstated? Island92 (talk) 21:03, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
To give more detail and improve depth of undrstanding for new fans and bettte contexualistion . Wikipedia used to allow pre and post race information. Why not now? MKL123 (talk) 21:11, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Better sorry.
MKL123 (talk) 21:17, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Because not everything is vitally essential to be added. There are dedicated spaces for that, external websites whether necessary. Used to? When? Formula One Grands Prix articles are so similar to each other courtesy of following a scheme, without being filled by redundant information. Regards. Island92 (talk) 21:18, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't consider drive quotes redundant. Please discuss with F1 article admin if you can to alter policy. MKL123 (talk) 21:36, 13 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
