Sailor Uranus and Neptune article issues

The image itself cannot be used as a source because it comes from an unreliable site, so it should be removed. Besides, a photo is redundant, as a simple citation to Materials Collection is more than enough. But are these two powers (air and water manipulation) mentioned in MC as factual abilities or as initial concepts of Takeuchi's which where finally not incorporated into the characters? If we could find a complete collection of photos from MC, just for verification reasons, we could see if they are fact (except if you own MC and have checked yourself that they are indeed in their list of powers or if another person you trust has seen it themselves and passed you the info). Also, the infobox colour in Uranus' article is purple-like, it should be changed because it is not her uniform colour. Thank you. Hula Hup (talk) 15:02, 4 October 2013 (UTC)

I think there's this complete collection of the MC, but it is in Japanese: http://mangastyle.net/sailormoon-materials-collection/
Maybe Uranus' powers are not made from wind, but clearly Neptune's are. We can change Uranus' infobox to "Generation of damaging energy" but keep the "Generation and manipulation of water" in Neptune's. Thoughts? --LoЯd ۞pεth 03:12, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
I see. If you don't own the art book or haven't been given the info by a trusted individual, I suggest we remove the info because it's speculation; personally I believe there's a greater chance of it being energy, but we can never be totally sure unless someone speaking Japanese translates the info for us. There is a place on Wikipedia where we can ask for translation, but I don't remember its name. Hula Hup (talk) 18:53, 9 October 2013 (UTC)

Franchise articles to Disney films

Hey :) I saw your amazing work in the The Lion King (franchise) so thought I'd share with you a proposition that crossed my mind today. I saw how many Dreamworks films had franchise articles. Even those with only 1 film in them at the moment. I think Wikipedia should have franchise articles for Disney films. Lord knows pretty much every film has spawned sequels, video games, musicals, theme park rides, TV shows, and more. It should be fairly easy to collect the info and create the articles. You appear to be much more experienced that me, so I wanted to get your opinion on this. We already have The Lion King (franchise) and The Little Mermaid (franchise), so I would suggest starting off with Aladdin (franchise) and Beauty and the Beast (franchise) - those being 4 of Disney most popular/most successful films.

Thoughts?--Coin945 (talk) 20:57, 19 October 2013 (UTC)

Sounds good to me. The thing is that I am not as active in Wikipedia as I used to be, but I would contribute to the articles as much as I can. Go ahead and start them, using TLK and TLM franchises as basis. --LoЯd ۞pεth 01:58, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
Hmm.. I guess I could start off the articles.. but I can't promise they'd be any good. The point of a stub is to allow others to edit it and make it better, no? At least if I follow your guidelines in TLK i should be okay. It's a matter of copying info from the various other wiki-articles and compounding them into the one article.--Coin945 (talk) 05:49, 21 October 2013 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:HerculesDisney.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:HerculesDisney.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 15:52, 19 February 2014 (UTC)

FL for List of Sailor Moon characters?

Hi, Lord Opeth. I'm thinking about taking List of Sailor Moon characters to FL status, as with List of Tokyo Mew Mew characters and List of Naruto characters. I'm thinking about expanding the lead to include reception and information as well. Also I may do a complete rewrite of the article from scratch if its possible and I have also contacted WT:ANIME about this. Thoughts? Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 02:56, 11 July 2014 (UTC)

I think it is a good idea. Right now, the article is well referenced, includes real world and impact information. Perhaps we should start by re-writing each character's section so that they are not presented in an in-universe way so that they can meet the WP:WAF criteria. The lead/intro should include more real world stuff and perhaps we should remove some in-universe info. I think that using a WP:Sandbox would be helpful. --LoЯd ۞pεth 01:40, 15 July 2014 (UTC)
Sounds good to me. I'll probably write up a draft at User:Sjones23/List of Sailor Moon characters in the next couple of weeks or so. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 03:13, 15 July 2014 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:LightningMcQueen.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:LightningMcQueen.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 09:49, 4 March 2015 (UTC)

Bonnie Wright as main cast in HP7-part 2

I was talking about official screen credits at the end of the film, Wright's name appeared along with Mark Williams in main cast credit of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2, see this. Regards--Jockzain (talk) 06:53, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

That is not main cast. Main cast ends with Julie Walters (the last of which is presented individually and alphabetically) and then come secondary cast, again alphabetically but not individually. That's why those who are not presented individually are not mentioned in the poster. --LoЯd ۞pεth 17:01, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

Sailor Moon articles

Can you try to be more conservative with editing Sailor Moon articles so much? Possibly try to compress the edits into one edit rather than several? My nick on IRC is SailorHaumea and it's triggering the highlight because I'm in #cvn-wp-en, and your edits have triggered a "possible vandalism" filter. I know you're not a vandal, but could you dial back on editing that List of Sailor Moon characters so many times and try to make all your edits at once? Thanks! Hi Lord Opeth. Say, what's the story on this edit deleting the content of Beaky Buzzard? I don't see any discussion on the talk page, reference to an AfD on the talk page, or any actual AfD, if I'm looking in the right place, and then when an editor objected (per WP:BRD by implication) instead of talking it to the talk page you did it again.

I've restored the article... what's the story here? Am I missing something? If I'm not, have you done this to other articles, and if so have you kept a list of these articles you could forward to me? Thanks! Herostratus (talk) 19:51, 9 November 2015 (UTC)

Attention: Potions in Harry Potter will be placed for AfD on June 4, 2016

(You are receiving this notice due to your having made some edits to the article discussed or its talk page sometime during its history)

In November of 2007 Potions in Harry Potter was deleted as a the result of a deletion discussion due to its failure of WP:FICT, WP:PLOT, WP:WAF, and other issues. On June 4, 2015 the article was recreated from content then currently existing on the Magical objects in Harry Potter article. A discussion followed regarding the appropriateness of the recreation. An attempt was made to return this article to a redirect, which was undone a day later. Some months later, a notice was placed on the article's talk page indicating the article would be placed for deletion. A few days ago, the article was placed for proposed deletion. This too was undone.

Throughout the history of the article, which spans more than a decade, it has never had any references. It has always been written in in-universe style. No outside universe perspective has ever been provided. As of June 2016, it will have been tagged for both of these problems for a year. I have asked, begged, and pleaded with people to rewrite this article to no avail. As the article stands (and has always stood), it continues to fail WP:FICT, WP:PLOT, and WP:WAF. There have been suggestions to merge the content back to Magical objects in Harry Potter, but this completely fails to address the failures noted. Where the content exists, either in its own article or as part of another, matters not. The issue is the content itself.

Barring a massive rewrite of the entire article into something that is encyclopedic in its treatment of the subject, I will be placing it for deletion on June 4, 2016. This notice is being sent as a last ditch attempt to find one or more people willing to do something to fix the serious problems extant in this content. Thank you for your attention, --Hammersoft (talk) 17:19, 4 April 2016 (UTC)

About freaking time! I have been witness of this whole process and I have not been able to find real world content or impact in popular culture of this particular HP subject, and that's why I have always been supportive of merging/redirecting the article. If it is placed for AfD, I will support deletion. Please notify me if the article goes to AfD. --LoЯd ۞pεth 19:16, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
Barring a significant rewrite (not just improvement, by sprinkling a handful of refs, but actual rewrite), I will be arguing strongly against merging the content somewhere else. The problem isn't where the content is; the problem is the content itself. It's a wall of in-universe fancruft. A very short list, maybe even a short table, of potions with some refs to support out of universe notability, might be ok in another article that includes potions. Unless a lot of refs are found (which as you note are apparently tricky to find, if they even exist), its existence as an article or portion of another article is dubious at best. I'm reluctant to inform anyone of an AfD that I've started. People make accusations of canvassing far too easily. That said, if you're interested in it coming to AfD, you may wish to watchlist Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Potions in Harry Potter (2nd nomination) now. --Hammersoft (talk) 19:24, 4 April 2016 (UTC)
I was considering some time ago to write a section about "Potion brewing" in the Magic in Harry Potter article to cover the Potions subject, but I agree with you that the list of potions itself (at least as it currently written) is not encyclopedic enough and not suitable even for merging. As I said, I will support deletion. --LoЯd ۞pεth 19:27, 4 April 2016 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:DisneyPrincePhillip.jpg

Thank you for uploading File:DisneyPrincePhillip.jpg.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 03:00, 14 June 2018 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of secondary doctors in ER, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Medical Student (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 12:44, 15 June 2019 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Category:Collectible card games based on anime and manga requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Notice

The file File:DBSuper logo.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:02, 13 February 2020 (UTC)
