Per WP:N. No longer in service, no significant coverage of the subject in reliable third party sources, other than fcc filings.

WUOW moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, WUOW, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. buidhe 01:58, 18 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Re: ABS-CBN Stations

[edit]

Please stop adding that "disestablishment" categories on the ABS-CBN TV and radio station articles. ABS-CBN still exists as a company. All of their stations still exists. The stations are not allowed to broadcast until their congressional franchise is approved. Disestablishment is DIFFERENT from ceasing transmission. -WayKurat (talk) 02:19, 6 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Categorization and sorting

[edit]

When adding the "Daytime-only radio stations in (state)" category, you should delete the existing "Daytime-only radio stations" category. And you should add a "sorting key" (i.e. the last three letters in the station's callsign). I'm starting to correct this in a few state subcategories. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 17:23, 16 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ok MMessine19 (talk) 17:38, 16 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

MMessine19, When I say "Sorting key", example: For WCGW, use "Daytime-only radio stations in Kentucky|CGW". Mvcg66b3r (talk) 02:15, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ok MMessine19 (talk) 11:05, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

MMessine19, When you get to states with both "K" and "W" callsigns (TX, LA, KS, MN, IA, ND), leave the sort key alone, so it can sort by the first letter instead. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 15:14, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ok MMessine19 (talk) 15:51, 17 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"D" in call sign infoboxes for deleted US stations

[edit]

Hey, is it possible to stop making edits like this one to infoboxes of deleted stations to add the "D"? It's confusing to readers and only reflects an administrative move, not an actual call sign of the station. Raymie (tc) 02:39, 9 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ok MMessine19 (talk) 09:00, 9 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I add “D” to deleted stations’ infoboxes & have always done as that reflects what shows up in the FCC database. The article is still named by the old Callsign, so there shouldn’t be an issue there. Stereorock (talk) 12:56, 5 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Christian radio stations in Massachusetts requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

Non-existent categories

[edit]

Information icon Before adding a category to an article, as you did to KHBR-LP, please make sure that the category page actually exists. In some cases, it may be appropriate to create a new category in accordance with Wikipedia's categorization guidelines, but it is usually better to use the most specific available existing category. It is never appropriate to leave a page categorised in a non-existent category, i.e. one whose link displays in red. You may find it helpful to use the gadget HotCat, which tests whether a category exists before saving a change. Thank you. . --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 19:38, 15 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:WSRR

[edit]

Hello, MMessine19. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "WSRR".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! JMHamo (talk) 08:42, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Defunct broadcast television stations in the United States

[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you created Category:Defunct broadcast television stations in the United States yesterday, and populated it with a redirect W50DR.

A category with that name was suggested at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2020 July 26#Category:Defunct terrestrial television stations in the United States, but there was no support for that suggestion, so I think that the new category should be deleted.

Please read the discussion linked above, and let me know whether you consent to deleting the new category. – Fayenatic London 18:52, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of KQQY

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on KQQY requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into WBZY (defunct). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Liz Read! Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 1948 in radio, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page WATO. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/WBZY (Connecticut). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, WBZY (Connecticut)), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Mass page moves

[edit]

I see you're ringing in the new year by moving "2022" related pages to incorporate 2023 as well. Can we please proceed methodically here and document if, and how, these situations are extending into 2023? You haven't added any sourced content at all, so your moves potentially fail WP:V and are subject to revert. Elizium23 (talk) 10:13, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

WHEB (AM) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, WHEB (AM), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 11:31, 10 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article KFMX (Minnesota) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Can't find enough coverage to show this meets GNG. Would have redirected this to the college, but their radio station, KRLX, has different call letters. This appears to be an older, defunct station.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Indian films

[edit]

Hi, I noticed your recent edits to articles on Indian films. They are not correct, British Raj was the government (akin to the Federal government of the United States, British Raj as the country param would be like saying Government of British India) not the place/territory/country that would be the British Indian Empire or commonly British India (cf Category:20th century in British India).

And also note films in India are also generally not classified differently into a British Indian or Indian categorization. So changing infobox descriptions as such is not really helpful, sources do not support this and neither do we hereon enwiki (as supported by numerous GA and FA reviews). I would recommend you revert your edits at the earliest. Gotitbro (talk) 06:14, 14 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on KALA (AM) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
