User talk:Lightning in the sky
April 2020
[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Frank Zappa; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. - DVdm (talk) 10:08, 16 April 2020 (UTC)

Use of sources on Wikipedia
[edit]Please do not add or change content without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 15:56, 18 April 2020 (UTC)
April 2020
[edit]Your recent editing history at That's Incredible! shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Miguel Bosé albums
[edit]Hi, the problem with Template:Miguel Bosé is that this template is not intended to be a complete listing of all the artist's albums... the correct place for this is at Miguel Bosé#Discography, or by creating a new article at Miguel Bosé discography, following the guidelines for discography articles.
The template is supposed to be a navigation box between albums/songs that have their own article. However, because half of Bosé's albums just redirect to Bosé's article, there is no point in including them in a navbox template because they don't link to information about the album itself. And the problem with the articles you have been creating for his earlier albums is that they are not encyclopedic and fail [WP:NALBUM]]... if there is nothing to write about the album apart from a track listing, then it fails these guidelines. The albums need to have information from several reliable independent sources that talk about the album, such as writing of the songs, how the album was made, reviews of the albums by newspapers or music magazines, chart placings, etc. Richard3120 (talk) 15:07, 27 June 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Lightning, you've added some references to the articles on Miguel Bosé's albums, but none seem to establish notability for any of them yet. If the only sources you can find do nothing more than show that the album exists, the articles should be redirected back to Miguel Bosé. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 00:27, 2 July 2020 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Eric Edwards (actor)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Eric Edwards (actor) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. The article Ad metalla has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Not seeing significant coverage among reliable sources for this topic.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Right cite (talk) 19:55, 15 November 2020 (UTC)

"God's people"
[edit]You have twice added the quoted phrase "God's people" as a descriptor at the article Jehovah's Witnesses, but it isn't clear what you're quoting from, and the addition of the phrase is in any case superfluous, because it is obvious that the members of any given Christian denomination believe themselves to be God's people. If you believe there is a particularly strong reason for including the phrase, please discuss at the article's Talk page, indicating the source of the quoted phrase and why you think it improves the article. The article Jeff Cooper (Canadian actor) has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Lightning in the sky! Your additions to Victor Rivers have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Wikishovel (talk) 05:09, 12 September 2023 (UTC)

Sor Tequila (draft 3) moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Sor Tequila (draft 3). Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it has no sources and I am moving it back to draftspace as a technical move as it should never have been moved back to mainspace without having been through the AfC process. If it is moved back to mainspace without AfC acceptance, it'll go straight to articles for deletion.. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Alexandermcnabb (talk) 13:02, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
