Hi Lee Vilenski :)I'm looking to interview people here. Feel free to pass if you're not interested. Clovermoss🍀 (talk) 13:09, 4 December 2023 (UTC)
- Sure, I can help. I'm not sure you're ready for the amount of cue sports I talk about though. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 16:00, 4 December 2023 (UTC)
- You forgot to bring your passionate walls of text about cue sports to the table. If you ever want to share, let me know. I admit I know pratically nothing about the topic but I'm always open to hearing people talk about what they love. Clovermoss🍀 (talk) 13:41, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
- Intentionally so. You have fallen into my trap. Cue sports are a family of sports played on a table, they are derived from sports like bowls and hockey, see a very good article I would recommend ground billiards. They include the various different games of pool, which you may be familiar with. The most well known is the different games that make up eight-ball, which depending on your country is the one with either spots Vs stripes, or red Vs yellows (which is sometimes called blackball, but it's actually a series of games/rulesets). There's also nine-ball, which is the most common pool variant for tournament play, where you hit the balls in numerical order. There's other variants of this too, which include ten-ball and six-ball. Pool also includes straight pool, Russian pyramid and Chinese Eight-ball.
- In addition to pool, there's also billliards, which some people think is a name for cue sports, but its also a name for another family of cue sports, like balkline and straight rail, and the English billiards. These are games that sometimes have a table with no pockets, such as how three cushion billiards is played.
- I'm more familiar with snooker, which is sometimes referred to as the hardest game to play competitively, due to the size of the table, the small pockets and the length of the games, which is also (again) a group of games, which include six-red snooker, American Snooker and Power Snooker. I would recommend seeing some snooker if you have a bit of spare time. The third biggest tournament of the season just happened, see the 2023 UK Championship.
- In addition, there's loads of other random bits and pieces up there, such as artistic billiards, which is competitive trick shots and things like carrom, which is billiards without balls.
- I'll be here always for your cue sports needs. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 14:25, 5 December 2023 (UTC)

Thanks! Funny story is that I came across that sign (the image in the article) in my travels which mentioned Slosh, and I had no idea about it. So, I decided to do the research. It looks like it has hundreds of different names (unless I'm mistaken, it's called "Toad in the hole", which is a sausage and batter dish where I'm from). I'm taking an indefinate break from content, but I appreciate the thought. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 10:45, 8 December 2023 (UTC)

Merry Christmas!
BOZ (talk) is wishing you a Merry Christmas! This greeting (and season) promotes WikiLove and hopefully this note has made your day a little better. Spread the WikiLove by wishing another user a Merry Christmas, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past, a good friend, or just some random person. Don't eat yellow snow!
Spread the holiday cheer by adding {{subst:User:Flaming/MC2008}} to their talk page with a friendly message.
I'm wishing you a Merry Christmas, because that is what I celebrate. Feel free to take a "Happy Holidays" or "Season's Greetings" if you prefer. :) BOZ (talk) 00:19, 23 December 2023 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Peter Ebdon
The article Peter Ebdon you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Peter Ebdon for comments about the article, and Talk:Peter Ebdon/GA1 for the nomination. Well done! If the article has never appeared on the Main Page as a "Did you know" item, and has not appeared within the last year either as "Today's featured article", or as a bold link under "In the news" or in the "On this day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear at DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On this day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. hostile walled garden of darts
Hi Lee, I've been following some of the darts pages ever since I became an Enemy of Darts in this AfD. Reading through some of the interactions on these pages, do you think they rise to the level of ANI? I'm astounded that edit summaries like I swear I have never met a more narrow-minded and short-sighted person than you, you mentally stunted autistic poor thing.
(diff) and Stop vandalising the article and learn to read with comprehension, you degenerate autistic child.
(diff) and Quite obviously, this does not meet the characteristics of the WP you quoted. I recommend, our dear autistic, life-frustrated friend, to revisit elementary school and improve your reading comprehension.
(diff) didn't garner blocks by themselves, even without the BATTLEGROUND hostility and NPAs displayed across all the talk- and wiki-space pages. JoelleJay (talk) 18:50, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
- The simple answer is probably yes. I can't say I get involved with ANI very much, but from what I've read there is quite a bit of civility issues and a big old lack of want to follow our style guides. I've done some comments and cleanup to try and make the article(s) more in line with MOS, so I'm a bit too involved to do any admin actions, I'm afraid. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 18:54, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
- Yeah I've never taken anyone to ANI, and don't feel I have "standing" to do so in this case, but maybe another admin can step in. Not sure where to look, though? JoelleJay (talk) 19:00, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
- There's no such thing as a standing. Perhaps a simple message to WP:AN about the issues about the toxicity on that talk page. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 19:09, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
- Ok, I'll leave a message there, thanks! JoelleJay (talk) 19:21, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
