Help Desk Question...

[edit]

Did you figure out how, or were you stymied by how to show a Category? Let me know if I can help...Naraht (talk) 01:45, 3 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Also those templates at Category:Film external link templates can be complex. Where do you want things to direct to?Naraht (talk) 01:48, 3 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I'm trying to figure out how to create a template similar to the templates on Category:Film external link templates. I would like our external links to be directed to the Margaret Herrick Library catalog Lauren at Margaret Herrick Library (talk) 16:42, 3 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I see without a template, it got reverted for Katherine Hepburn, though frankly I don't see a significant difference in level of importance between yours and the one from New York Public Library for the Performing Arts above it, but the number of external links that it has already is a lot. What I would do is go to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Film and post the following: What information you want to add, what you want to do with the template to add it *and* what resources can be found at the Margaret Herrick Library. I'd you may want to consider dropping a note to User talk:Calliopejen1 to see whether an edit-a-thon *at* the Library would work. That would *really* support the addition of information at the Library to Wikipedia.Naraht (talk) 14:46, 6 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Theroadislong. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the page Katharine Hepburn, because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you.
