Re:Can you use the proper English

[edit]

What? I use good English. The only reason I don't appear to use "proper English" is because I make uncontrollable typo errors and that happens against my will. And how does it considered as rude? - Two hundred percent 01:48, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On another note, you are aware that you are using "the" to refer to "proper English"? That's grammatically incorrect, isn't it? - Two hundred percent 01:49, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Happy Birthday!

[edit]

Happy thirteenth Birthday, Khairul hazim! It is just so coincidental, you know, I was looking at my watchlist, then I saw an edit made by you, then after that I went to your userpage and ironically, it is your birthday today. Well, I may be a bit too late, so I'm sorry for that.

I hope you will be blessed with good luck and prosperity in the future.

Plus, I'm sorry if I was a bit of a busy body, but I added your name voluntarily into the calendar in the Birthday Committee so that people would be aware that today, August 23 is your birthday. You may remove it (or you can ask me to remove it; in my talk page) if you are unhappy with the action I just took. Thank you. Acs4b T C U 10:04, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Thank you

[edit]

You're most welcome. And of course we can be friends! I was just going to ask you to be my friend yesterday, but I thought, I shouldn't be such as busy body. Oh, and regarding the problem that your English is not as good as mine, it doesn't matter. Its ok, I can still chat with you in Simple English or in Bahasa Melayu (however, I think we should only use BM in the Malay Wikipedia). Acs4b T C U 04:55, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Motto of the day

[edit]

Hello, I notice you're using one of the {{motd}} templates, run by Wikipedia:Motto of the day. You may have noticed that some of the mottos recently have been followed by a date from 2006, or on occasion simply "Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia". The reason for this is that Motto of the day is in some very serious need of help. Participation in the project, which has never been especially high, has dropped considerably over this past summer, to the point we have had several days where no motto was scheduled to appear at all. Over the past several weeks, I've been the only editor scheduling mottos at all, but there aren't enough comments on some of these mottos to justify their use. If we do not get some help - and soon - your daily mottos will stop. In order for us to continue updating these templates for you, we need your help.

When you get a chance between your normal editing, could you stop by our nominations page and leave a few comments on some of the mottos there, especially those that do not have any comments yet? This works very simply; you read a motto, decide whether or not you like it, and post your opinion just below the motto. That's it - no experience required, just an idea of what you personally like and what you feel reflects Wikipedia and its community. If you do have past experience with the project, then please close some of the older nominations once they've got a decent consensus going. There are directions on the nominations page on how to do this.

If you have any questions, please let me know, or post on the project's talk page. I'm looking forward to reading your comments on the suggested mottos, and any additional suggestions you'd like to make. Until then, happy editing! Hersfold (t/a/c) 01:55, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Manilla in eclipse page

[edit]

The antumbra doesn't go anywhere near Manilla, it was just a partial eclipse there, why single that out when there were many other cities closer to it that were not mentioned? Unless there is a section for cities getting partial eclipse, which should be the second subsection of the visibility section, then it is undue to stick it in there (and out of order, too). You may have noticed over the past few days that the MOTD that you link to on your user page has simply displayed a red link. This is due to the fact that not enough people are reviewing pending MOTDs here. Please help us keep the MOTD template alive and simply go and review a few of the MOTDs in the list. That way we can have a real MOTD in the future rather than re-using (This space for rent). Any help would be appreciated! –pjoef (talkcontribs) 11:09, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Motto of the Day Help Request April 2014

[edit]
Today's motto...

It's wikipedia.org, not wikipedia.com.

Nominate one today!

Motto of the Day (WP:MOTD) is in a state of emergency and really needs your help! There are not enough editors who are reviewing or nominating mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review, and this probably means that you will notice a red link or “This space for rent” as our mottos for the next weeks and months.

Please take a moment to review the nominations and nominate your own new mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review and Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/'Specials. Any help would be appreciated! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 09:13, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This message has been sent by pjoef on behalf of Motto of the Day to all editors of the English Wikipedia who are showing MOTD's templates on their pages, and to all the participants to MOTD: (page, template, and category).

Photo requests

[edit]

Do you do photo requests in the Kuala Lumpur area? There are photos at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport and KLIA airport that I am requesting. Thanks WhisperToMe (talk) 09:05, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the notice. At KLIA I would like to have a photo of the Malaysia Airports building (Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad Malaysia Airports Corporate Office, Persiaran Korporat KLIA, 64000 KLIA, Sepang, Selangor) - Anyway if you know anyone who does go to Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah, please let me know, because the Malaysia Airlines head office is at that airport and I would like to someone to take a photo of it. Other KL-area photo requests:
  • Former MAS head office: Bangunan MAS, Jalan Sultan Islmail, Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory, 50250, Malaysia
  • Malindo Air head office: C-5-05, Block C Oasis Ara Damansara, 2 Jalan PJU 1A/7A, 47301 Petaling Jaya Malaysia
  • Government agencies in Putrajaya
WhisperToMe (talk) 11:56, 2 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Please put the images on the Wikimedia Commons. For Bangunan MAS I would like to have the photos even if it's of the building being refurbished. Can you get more people (friends, relatives, colleagues) to be interested in attending the first Wikipedia Malaysia? If we have at least around 5 people, then we can make it. If only 2, I don't think it is sufficient enough to make a meeting. I know the beginning is always the hardest, but at least we need to give it a try. I suggest that we should made a major expansion/overhaul on Media Prima and Astro as we had done on Radio Televisyen Malaysia and other Malaysian TV stations article where you added more information while I added new sections (e.g. "Governance and structure" and "Cultural significance") and also updated information. For the Media Prima article, the "History" section needs more information to added, while for the Astro article, the "History" section needs expansion and peacock language on the latter should be removed. All sources on Media Prima and Astro which dates back in 1990s and 2000s can obtained on KLiK and NewspaperSG website. Thank you in advance. Fandi89 (talk) 01:42, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Custom signature fix needed

[edit]

Hi there! You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. Changes to Wikipedia's software have made your current custom signature invalid.

The problem: Your signature contains a syntax error or obsolete HTML tags.

The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, you can fix your signature, or you can do nothing.

Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:

  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Remove anything in the Signature: text box.
  4. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (Do not click the red "Restore all default settings" button, which will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)

Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:

  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Click the Learn more button next to the error to learn how to fix the error.
  3. Update your signature to fix the error.
  4. Click Save to update to your newly fixed signature.

Solution 3: Do nothing:

  1. In accordance with a recent request for comment, all invalid signatures will be changed to the default, which looks like "Example (talk)", one month from now.

If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. Thank you! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 06:05, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Khairul hazim: Theknine2 suggest that not to use "Label" and "Region" columns via updated table. Your comments would be appreciated. However there's two other user objected over updated table, so I suggested that change "Label" to "Distributor" column via original table. Regards.

p.s. "Pengedar/Edaran" means "Distribution/Distributor" in Malay, and "Penerbit/Terbitan" means "Publisher" in Malay. 2001:D08:2911:70A0:A1B9:7351:9BC8:825A (talk) 13:19, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Before adding a category to an article, as you did to Category:Inter-Governmental Group on Indonesia, please make sure that the subject of the article really belongs in the category that you specified according to Wikipedia's categorization guidelines. The category being added must already exist, and must be supported by the article's verifiable content. Categories may be removed if they are deemed incorrect for the subject matter. Thank you. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited KBS World (Japanese TV channel), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Akasaka. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
