Hi Kevin Thanks for your message. I'm pleased you like my books!

I totally understand what you mean about it being 'bad form' for an author to write their own page. However, I've watched it over the last 4 + years, and it's been full of errors. Full of them! What then happens is that event organisers who are having me appear pull the details, incorrect as they are, and use them for promo material. It's so annoying.

All I wanted to do was make it correct. I don't care that much about having a page, so if you think it better I remove my comments, I will.

Cheers

Thanks, Kevin, for your reply, and the offer of help. I'm more than happy for you to rewrite/change the edits I made, so that it appears that you have done them. Is it that simple? I don't want to go asking my readers to do stuff on here for me, really. *That* would look really pretentious in my mind. I can also supply a photo of me in Roman kit, if you wish. Cheers. Ben. While I'll buy that the first book reprinting would be acceptable fair use, a modern paperback adds almost no encyclopedic value, particularlyu when the novel was printed in 1915, just in serial form. Further, cheap paperback editions tend to not have artwork created for them - a bit of checking indicates the background appears to be a painting by Marie Spartali Stillman, with no actual connection to Herland or Gilman, which gives it minimal illustrative power for the novel. Adam Cuerden (talk) 16:18, 24 March 2015 (UTC)

However it is the norm to reproduce the 1st book for edition. Normally of course this is the very first edition of any type - but not here. And the strange thing is that it took so long to arrive in this manner. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 13:35, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
Agreed, but I don't think that justifies a different book cover. Unless this is the first edition, and not labelled explicitly enough. Adam Cuerden (talk) 02:20, 26 March 2015 (UTC)
Checking, https://www.etsy.com/listing/202363645/herland-a-lost-feminist-utopian-novel-by is the 1979 first edition. (direct link: https://img0.etsystatic.com/026/1/6899545/il_570xN.649321522_p4w0.jpg ) - the image we have is just a random printing. Adam Cuerden (talk) 05:58, 26 March 2015 (UTC)

License tagging for File:KaLIVEoscope.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:KaLIVEoscope.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Percy Jackson Task-force

Hi, I'm looking to help re-activate the Percy Jackson Task-force. As you are one of the few "inactive" or "unknown" members still actively editing Wikipedia, I wanted to extend an invitation for you to work with me to do this. If you are no longer interested, I'd appreciate your taking the time to move your username to the "inactive" list here or removing it altogether. And thanks for all you did before!

If you are interested, firstly I'd like to invite you to become a full member, as the requirements for membership are going to be lowered in the near future (I know they scared me away on the first try) -- or just a "supporter", if that's more your speed. I would also ask you to consider a proposal I have, which is that this task-force become the "Rick Riordan" task-force. I've suggested this because I think it would help keep the project active and also help stop some pretty widespread vandalism in articles referring to that author. My proposal in brief. I'm a relatively new Wikipedian, so I'd appreciate the advice and expertise of a more experienced user. Thanks again in advance, and feel free to contact me on my Talk page. 2ReinreB2 (talk) 02:23, 23 July 2015 (UTC)

The Secret Adversary Agatha Christie, when did it air? Could not find in in IMDb

Kevinalewis, thanks for compromise on The Secret Adversary. When did the most recent adaptation air in 2015? I looked for an IMDb link, but could not find one, so I assumed it had not yet aired. You perhaps have seen it? --Prairieplant (talk) 07:34, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

Aha, I found it is airing right now! First episode in UK on Sunday past, the other two ahead of us. So, no IMDb listing yet, but I found a review from The Telegraph to add to text, giving a source that it did happen, not just an idea never aired. Awkward to write about something in progress as past tense. --Prairieplant (talk) 07:56, 28 July 2015 (UTC)

Arnold Fruchtenbaum

perhaps you could take another look at this in terms of NPOV, where the emphasis on what motivated him and what he "perceived" can be derived only from his own view of himself, I couldtry fixing it myself, but you know the subject better. And perhaps it would be a good idea to add publisher info and ISBN for the books--and please use WorldCat as a ref, not Amazon, as you have done in some other articles. .
