An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is National Socialist Japanese Workers and Welfare Party. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/National Socialist Japanese Workers and Welfare Party. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:17, 25 December 2009 (UTC)

Dear Keresaspa, I am new to Wiki, but we need to discuss the errors you posted in your article about my father, and why I am now blocked from updating the article. If you doubt my identity, ring down to the Blackrock Coll Union in Dublin, and have them check their student rolls 1969-73. If you doubt my edits, then allow me to post pictures proving them innaccurate. If not, I will request that the article be removed entirely. Tuned2 (talk) 11:41, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Keresaspa! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 696 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

My pleasure. Thanks for expanding it - I must confess that I don't speak Dutch. I was just trying to fill a couple of redlinks when I had a free moment. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 19:45, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

Dear Keresaspa, I have removed the text about Gerretson being "an active fascist politician". See talk page. Theobald Tiger (talk) 18:23, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
The answer is to expand the article with sourced information about his academic and literary career not to remove properly sourced material already there because you don't like it. But to be honest I don't have the energy or inclination for an argument about this so do whatever you feel is best. Keresaspa (talk) 18:30, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
If you miss the energy or inclination for an argument, the best thing I can do is to keep silent. Theobald Tiger (talk) 20:06, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
No offence meant from my comment, it's just that I've got a lot of other things on at the minute and so Wikipeia is pretty low on my list of priorities nowadays. Keresaspa (talk) 00:02, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
No hard feelings. Gerretson was a politician who as a matter of fact was involved in politics of antidemocratic tendency, but as a politician he has been for a large part of his life a representative of the CHU, one of the protestant political parties that formed, together with the Catholic People's Party (KVP) and the Anti Revolutionary Party (ARP), in 1973 (or therabouts) a federation called Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA). About calling him a fascist there have been a lot of disputes among historians. The passage that has been removed was - although the facts were correct (I think) - a coarse misrepresentation of the man. It is as if you portray John Calvin as the murderer of Michael Servetus, keeping silent about his role in the Protestant Reformation. I will in the near future expand the current stub, including Gerretson's political activities in the 1920's and 1930's. Theobald Tiger (talk) 07:03, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
I must admit I had only heard of him for his 1920s political involvement as right-wing extremism is my speciality due to my previous studies. My knowledge of wider Dutch society is pretty limited to say the least and given that you seem to know a lot about him I'll leave the article in your capable hands. Keresaspa (talk) 17:05, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, I hope the result of future article expansion will not be too disappointing. Theobald Tiger (talk) 17:37, 6 May 2010 (UTC)

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 04:19, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

Uncle Fester

Hello Keresaspa. Just been looking over my v. old watchlist/contribs and so got back finally to the Talk:Ray Wilkins page where (from ages ago) you expressed your (entirely understandable) surprise that Butch the Crab had ever been a Jackie pin-up boy. I've finally got round to adding a reference re that in the article and am looking out for a suitable pic to use. Meanwhile, I thought I'd pass on this here link to the sort of thing I'm looking for [1]. Sort of brings to mind the opening verses of Ian Dury's Sweet Jean Vincent. Or maybe not - but tonight's crumple has made me nostalgic for Attitude 78 even, never mind Altitude 86. Ah so, the marks of time. Best, Plutonium27 (talk) 02:35, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

Cripes I had forgotten all about that but good job in digging up a reference. I'd just never thought of old Wilko that way but I suppose they were funny days :D Keresaspa (talk) 02:45, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

Varney

This is officially my favourite edit summary ever. How I managed that I'll never know... Alzarian16 (talk) 12:31, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

I've done a few like that myself in my time. Besides I loved the thought of Quinn and Phillips with Reg Varney on the front of their shirts. Keresaspa (talk) 17:01, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Werner Willikens, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://groups.yahoo.com/group/eejh/messages/69602?xm=1&m=e&l=1.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Nazi members

Hi. Just a tip. If you are doing the amicable task of sourcing this list might I suggest you use this book and source as many names as possible to this book to make it quicker for you. Best to go through it alphabetically. Then other sources can be founded for the remainder. I'll do ref 9 and a few more as an example for you to follow.♦ Dr. Blofeld 19:34, 8 October 2010 (UTC)

  • I'll let you do that bit as I have to go for my dinner now! Meanwhile I'll look back in later and source some of what's left. One thing is for sure - no way should this article be deleted just because somebody doesn't like their family history. Keresaspa (talk) 19:43, 8 October 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, what I was wondering is why if this complainer detests the party and doesn't want their family associated with it why they were looking through this list, especially on English wikipedia.. I've made a start using the Wistrich see how it is done. Just view the page number at the bottom of the page in book (not the google book page number) and list in ref in the same format , that's the best place to start i think.♦ Dr. Blofeld 19:49, 8 October 2010 (UTC)

What I've noticed is a lot of prominent Nazi leaders are missing from the list as it was drawn up from member categories. IN my view it should be a complete list including prominent leaders to those who briefly joined the party. If you come across this just add names to the list.♦ Dr. Blofeld 19:56, 8 October 2010 (UTC)

  • It all does rather smell of somebody discovering the family secret and attempting to hush it up as much as possible, doesn't it. I also noticed a few missing myself but we can stick those in as we go. I've referenced all the bluelinks bar one for letter A (can't find a reliable source for Fritz Alberti) and a few others. I'm calling it a night for now but I reckon we've done pretty good for a first day! Keresaspa (talk) 01:17, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

What we can do. I've moved the full list to User:Dr. Blofeld/Nazis. What we can do is remove all the missing red links from the main article. And then work through a letter, ensuring they all have articles and then move into the mainspace gradually with sourcing. This way it needn't be rushed. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:06, 14 October 2010 (UTC)

I've removed the red links from the list. I see you;ve created User:Keresaspa/Nazi redlinks, great idea. Eventually those should be readded to the list with a source I think. I think the list stands a reasonable chance of being kept now and most people who voted deleted were complaining about the red links. If we can ensure that each entry is sourced now it shouldn't be a problem. It would be better to do that than remove existing articles without a source by the name. If a source can;t be found or the association with the Nazis seems slight just remove the name from the list. ♦ Dr. Blofeld

  • To be honest I always felt that keeping the redinks was something we would have to back down on and that's been my main reason for not referencing them. Still as long as we both have the lists saved to our userspaces we can add them over time. Apart from that I reckon we have shown plenty of dedication in addressing the issues of sourcing and hopefully sense will prevail and they'll go for keep. So good for us and I'll get back to the referencing shortly. Keresaspa (talk) 17:13, 14 October 2010 (UTC)

Keep it is, but we should still keep our word and have every entry sourced. The list can be built back up over time but without a rush.♦ Dr. Blofeld 20:58, 14 October 2010 (UTC)

Astounding that they've reopened the AFD and have removed all of them in the list. Don't worry I've recreated it at User:Keresaspa/Nazi bluelinks. If you can help me reference and then update the page this would be great. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:07, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

I've referenced H and K and added it to the list. If you could do the same with the remaining. The thing is most of the notable Nazis were SS officers. Perhaps we should merge the list of Nazi leaders into this article? Oh can you replace Jewish Virtual library sources and Webber's Quotations sources. Both are based on wikipedia.♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:19, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

Excellent. I can't believe, (actually I can given the past behavior of people on here) how much this AFD has been blown out of proportion. Basically all it needed was a talk page ocmment saying "all editions should be sourced and should only include existing articles". We'd have gone OK, no probs, we'll source it and improve the list. Done. But did that happen? No. People had to address it in a belligerent manner and inflame a pointless conflict which is leading nowhere. I'd be wiser to ignore them but most of the ocmments made about deleting it were so false and lacking perception that I couldn't help but be indignant. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 11:39, 17 October 2010 (UTC)

  • In my experience too many AfDs descend into somebody taking it all too personally like a certain somebody whom I'll not name is doing right now, whilst the removal of all the entries we didn't have a chance to source smacks of disrupting Wikipedia to make a point. All we asked for is a little patience but I suppose the baby has to have his bottle. Sod them - you've argued the case well and it is just getting to them that they wont be getting their own way to the point where I noticed somebody tried to make an issue out of the word "damn". If he or she considers that cursing I suggest they don't visit Belfast anytime soon :D Anyway, back to work for me! Keresaspa (talk) 16:13, 17 October 2010 (UTC)

Well done!

The Barnstar of Diligence
For your outstanding work on List of members of the Nazi Party in the midst of a heated AfD fight. —♦ Dr. Blofeld 18:18, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

Now the task of re-adding all those red links but as they become blue! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 21:42, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the barnstar! Sorry I only just spotted it! Keep up the great work with the new articles. I'd contribute more myself but given my lack of German I can't really be trusted in transwikying them so they;d be basic stubs. I'll still create a few everynow and then.♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:26, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

Can you offer your thoughts on the Merge former members discusison at the list of Nazis talk page. An editor I think had said he intends moving this list which I'd object to.♦ Dr. Blofeld 11:26, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

  • Sorry about taking so long to get back but I was out of town last week and only got on here a couple of times. I see you have removed the merge tag which is the right option. List of Nazis is huge as it is without adding a lot of other things into the mix. Keresaspa (talk) 15:25, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
