Speedy deletion nomination of Delta Force Paintball
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Delta Force Paintball requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. reddogsix (talk) 16:56, 14 February 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, JoshSalvage. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Delta Force Paintball, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. You seem to be a paid advertiser for the company, wikipedia is not for advertising Retartist (talk) 23:08, 25 February 2014 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Fuerte Hoteles Logo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Fuerte Hoteles Logo.jpg, which you've attributed to http://www.fuertehoteles.com/. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Diannaa (talk) 03:36, 22 March 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Fuerte Hoteles
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:Fuerte Hoteles, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Speedy deletion nomination of Fuerte Hotels
[edit]Hello JoshSalvage,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Fuerte Hotels for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. TheLongTone (talk) 17:56, 26 October 2015 (UTC)
How to prevent deletion of Fuerte Hotels (or any article)
[edit]Hello, AlexWit, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I'm not sure whether you're aware that Wikipedia has a notability standard that all articles have to meet. It can be summed up by saying that every article must be based on significant coverage of the subject from multiple sources, each independent of the subject and themselves reliable sources. Note that "notability" and "reliable source" each have specific definitions on Wikipedia (so you should read the linked articles in order to fully understand those definitions). On Wikipedia, a reliable source is one with editorial control and a reputation for fact-checking, such as a reputable newspaper, magazine, or publishing house. I find Google News and Google Books searches very helpful for finding reliable sources for Wikipedia articles... when such sources exist.
So what you need to do now is find some reliable sources that covered Fuerte Hotels in some depth, and add them to the article as inline citations. I have to say, I looked for sources like that in Google and didn't find any. It's possible that Fuerte Hotels isn't notable by Wikipedia's definition yet, but might become so in the future if some reliable publications cover the company. Feel free to visit the Teahouse if you need any further assistance. Or you could ask me questions, either on my own talk page or here — but if you ask here, please copy and paste [[GrammarFascist]]
into your comment, so that Wikipedia will notify me that someone is talking to me. (Otherwise I might not see what you write for a long time.) Thanks again, and good luck with the Fuerte Hotels article. —GrammarFascist contribstalk 02:59, 27 October 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Domdeparis. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, Scott Welch, but you didn't provide a reliable source. Orphaned non-free image File:Fuerte Hotels - official logo.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Fuerte Hotels - official logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:38, 22 January 2020 (UTC)
