Notice

The article Cleanse (album) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non notable album

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. I have declined your proposed deletion of several music articles

Songs/albums, and especially charting songs/albums, should never be deleted, because they can always just be redirected to the album or band article. Don't unnecessarily wipe out page histories. Cheers, Mach61 (talk) 22:59, 14 January 2024 (UTC)

KMFDM

The "Discography" header on KMFDM did not need a [citation needed] tag. That section is a summary of content verified elsewhere either in the KMFDM article, or in the KMFDM discography article. Summaries do not need sources. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 01:52, 15 January 2024 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bobbie Allen (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
  • disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
  • is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Please do not put [citation needed] tags on templates, as it causes them to show up on every article using the template. They are meant to be used only in articles. Thanks for your contributions to Upcoming Porter Robinson album. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Christy Carlson Romano

If only one section of an article is unsourced, please use {{unreferenced-section}}, as is the case on Christy Carlson Romano. As far as I can tell, the only sourcing issues are in her filmography, so I've retagged accordingly.

Also, if large portions of a biographical article are unsourced, please use {{BLP sources}} instead of {{refimprove}}. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 17:57, 28 February 2024 (UTC)

  • Reply - @TenPoundHammer:, there were multiple sections of the article that needed additional references. In the future, please do not remove tags from articles without first resolving the issue(s). I will try to remember to use {{+blp}} instead of {{+r}}, but if I forget, it is not the end of the world nor even a big deal. --Jax 0677 (talk) 23:58, 3 March 2024 (UTC)

New Pages Patrol newsletter April 2024

Hello Jax 0677,

New Page Review queue January to March 2024

Backlog update: The October drive reduced the article backlog from 11,626 to 7,609 and the redirect backlog from 16,985 to 6,431! Congratulations to Schminnte, who led with over 2,300 points.

Following that, New Page Patrol organized another backlog drive for articles in January 2024. The January drive started with 13,650 articles and reduced the backlog to 7,430 articles. Congratulations to JTtheOG, who achieved first place with 1,340 points in this drive.

Looking at the graph, it seems like backlog drives are one of the only things keeping the backlog under control. Another backlog drive is being planned for May. Feel free to participate in the May backlog drive planning discussion.

It's worth noting that both queues are gradually increasing again and are nearing 14,034 articles and 22,540 redirects. We encourage you to keep contributing, even if it's just a single patrol per day. Your support is greatly appreciated!

2023 Awards

Onel5969 won the 2023 cup with 17,761 article reviews last year - that's an average of nearly 50/day. There was one Platinum Award (10,000+ reviews), 2 Gold Awards (5000+ reviews), 6 Silver (2000+), 8 Bronze (1000+), 30 Iron (360+) and 70 more for the 100+ barnstar. Hey man im josh led on redirect reviews by clearing 36,175 of them. For the full details, see the Awards page and the Hall of Fame. Congratulations everyone for their efforts in reviewing!

WMF work on PageTriage: The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers deployed the rewritten NewPagesFeed in October, and then gave the NewPagesFeed a slight visual facelift in November. This concludes most major work to Special:NewPagesFeed, and most major work by the WMF Moderator Tools team, who wrapped up their major work on PageTriage in October. The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers will continue small work on PageTriage as time permits.

Recruitment: A couple of the coordinators have been inviting editors to become reviewers, via mass-messages to their talk pages. If you know someone who you'd think would make a good reviewer, then a personal invitation to them would be great. Additionally, if there are Wikiprojects that you are active on, then you can add a post there asking participants to join NPP. Please be careful not to double invite folks that have already been invited.

Reviewing tip: Reviewers who prefer to patrol new pages within their most familiar subjects can use the regularly updated NPP Browser tool.

Regarding PRODing

If you're going to use PRODs, like you did on Margaret Tynes, please actually look for sources first. If you don't have The Wikipedia Library to do so, then I'd highly recommend you apply for access. Because just with Newspapers.com from there, I found these easily:

So it's quite clear that she's notable. SilverserenC 21:36, 6 April 2024 (UTC)

  • Reply - @Silver seren:, I just did a brief search for sources, and there were few, not to mention the fact that they did not jump out at me as to indicating why she is notable, which should be placed in the actual article itself anyway. --Jax 0677 (talk) 21:41, 6 April 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of 4TFD

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on 4TFD requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2019 January 4#4TFD. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

Strong (Tyler Hubbard album)

Track listings don't need to be sourced. The {{urs}} on Strong (Tyler Hubbard album) was not needed. This is because in album articles, the album itself is understood to be the source of song titles, writers, and lengths. It's the same reason you don't need a citation within the article to prove the label name. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 22:07, 20 April 2024 (UTC)

@TenPoundHammer: Hi TPH. Related: might you be able to tell Jax that Hubbard's "Wish You Would" is not (yet) a commercial single as it hasn't been serviced to radio? Jax reverted me here, pointing out that the source he included on Hubbard's main article says that song was released in February as a single, but "Back Then Right Now" is as yet the only song from Strong that has been serviced to radio. I told him [1] that country music editors here seem to agree that unless it has a radio add date, it's not a commercial single... Jax: please try to avoid including/restoring e-commerce sources. Spotify is anWP:AFFILIATE source and it calls every song released on its own a single. That doesn't make every song a single. Ss112 06:17, 23 April 2024 (UTC)

New draft of Avia Solutions Group page

Hi Jax 0677, I am working to update the Avia Solutions Group. Since the page is challenging to read, I wrote a new draft that is well sourced and easier to understand. The draft is posted here. Thank you, Agne for ASG (talk) 13:36, 10 April 2024 (UTC)

Thanks, Jax 0677. I posted on the Talk:Avia Solutions Group nearly 2 weeks ago in hopes of getting some attention from interested parties. Other editors are welcome to weigh in, but no one has shown any interest. I am glad my draft looks good to you, would you please consider implementing it on the main page? Given my COI status, I am reluctant to make the edits myself. I really appreciate it, Thank you, Agne for ASG (talk) 14:33, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
  • Reply - @Agne for ASG:, if this is the case, then you may need to wait your turn, because as I said, "both your draft and the existing article do look good to me". If I try to institute your draft, I think it will be reverted. However, if the information is wrong, you might think about posting at WP:BLPN. --Jax 0677 (talk) 23:50, 24 April 2024 (UTC)

Recent redirects

I noticed that you created a few disambiguation pages with just the names. Please note that a disambiguation page usually looks like:

"Foobar" may refer to:
Foobar A, an A
Foobar B, a B

Your three did not have the first line, which might violate the MOS. Feel free to ask any more questions if needed and if you're just starting new ones in the future I think it might be a good idea to have it in draft space first until it's ready.

As is the case on album articles in general, Duality (Lindsey Stirling album) does not need a source for the track list. I've pointed this out to you at least once before, if I'm not mistaken. Hello there! I wanted to reach out about your recent edit to the Stigma (Wage War album) article. You added a reference tag for the personnel section, but I wanted to point you to WP:PERSONNEL.

Credits for albums, including personnel and track listing, are assumed to come from the liner notes or official credits on streaming services (such as Tidal or Spotify). They don't need to be verified a second time in the "members" list. Facts don't need to be verified every time they appear in the article, just the first time. Living Chaos

Hello Jax, hope you are doing well, I am just asking you to delete your redirected page of Living Chaos please, because I have a full version of the band's album and I just want to release it, that's all.

Thank you, and have a great rest of your day. Doomed Shadow (talk) 14:59, 22 July 2024 (UTC)

If you know that a member has left, why not just update the article instead of slapping an "outdated" template on it? Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 22:03, 23 July 2024 (UTC)

An IT blessing for you!

May your "downtime" always be the relaxing kind.

Your well-timed initiative to add a poll put us on the path to consensus. Thank you for your patience with my meddling and for your aid in improving the polling instructions.

You should consider reverting your recent move of Emily Armstrong (musician), as you introducted a spelling error with EMily Armstrong and there's a valid reason to have the existing Emily Armstrong (disambiguation). --ZimZalaBim talk 21:37, 29 September 2024 (UTC)

If you think it is appropriate to have Emily Armstrong simply point directly to the musician's article, I don't really care; just don't introduce a spelling error when you do it. --ZimZalaBim talk 21:45, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
@ZimZalaBim:, I cannot move Emily Armstrong (musician) to Emily Armstrong "The page could not be moved: a page of that name already exists, or the name you have chosen is not valid". --Jax 0677 (talk) 21:51, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
It appears you did: [4] --ZimZalaBim talk 21:58, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
@ZimZalaBim:, I was able to "[move] page Emily Armstrong to Emily Armstrong (disambiguation)", but not "[move] page Emily Armstrong (musician) to Emily Armstrong". --Jax 0677 (talk) 22:00, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
I suggest you go to WP:D and see about any instructions that page provides. --ZimZalaBim talk 22:02, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
