Oh, that! Well it's actually not much of a trouble. Mavs, Celts, Suns, Cavs, Arkansas, and homeschooling, but don't program it for that (homeschooling). As I said, it really isn't that much of a trouble. Actually, delivering a newsletter is more enjoyable than you'd think. Basketball11000:25, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
Oh, also DFW, but that one I also wanted to keep. You're right, it will make it easier. I wanted to keep the homeschooling because it's a bit personal (not homeschooling it self, but the project... did I say Arkansas? Oh no. Scratch that! There is any hope of not including Arkansas in the bot is there? Basketball11000:37, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
I was thinking about a Bulls Project, if there are 5 willing potential victims members. What do you think? I was thinking Bulls because of Jordan and the franchise he made in Chicago. Basketball11000:52, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

WikiProject Boston Red Sox newsletter - March 9, 2008.
Better, but I don't think you've quite read WP:POTD/G, have you? Some notes:
You don't need to have sizes when it's landscape-oriented photo. Sizes, however, must be added for portrait and panorama photos.
Did you see the hidden comment at the end? You have to delete that and the category below it (that category declaration is for the starting template itself).
I don't think Mila's first language is English, so it needed some copyediting just so the text would be grammatically correct and make sense (I had the hardest time understanding one sentence until I figured out a comma was needed).
Likewise, feel free to copyedit it so that it's not so redundant. The blurb doesn't have to have every single detail that it's in proposed caption. Remember -- short and sweet.
It was too long. Try not to make the text go beyond the top and bottom edges of the picture.
Link to the user page when it's a Wikipedian who takes the photo.
I would say it's a hoax by a bunch of idiot kids. If they didn't use a proxy/dynamic ip addresses, they're going to be visited by the cops tonight. --Sharkface21702:43, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
Somebody also said it was a proxy; this would make sense, as it is possible the route is always changing. I would bet good money that if it is indeed a proxy, the person responsible routed it through Tor. And yes, I would bet good money this is on CNN tomorrow. -Sharkface21702:47, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
I did a Google search and came up with no hits. Looks like it was a hoax all along and there was no mainstream news coverage about it. --Sharkface21702:24, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

While patrolling recent change, I saw that some of your recent edits are without edit summary or somewhere you used edit summary like with a symbol +. So I thought that I can tell you about the necessity of edit summary so that you can be aware of this fact. Otolemur crassicaudatus (talk) 23:48, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
Goose POTD
Getting close, but a few things to note:
No sizes are necessary when it's a landscape-oriented photo, as we go with the default sizes.
Watch your grammar: "it's nest" -- "its", not "it's".
Don't make up facts: "Unlike most birds..." -- this is not stated anywhere in the article.
Find something more interesting: The fact that it's a unique member in its genus and family (pretty rare) as opposed to its nesting habits and egg count is more interesting (IMHO anyway -- I guess this is a bit more subjective).
Link the title to the article. Add the texttitle (no link), which serves as the alt tag and also is used to make the link for "Recently featured" on the Main Page.
Don't forget to delete the last few lines -- the hidden comment and the other category.
Excuse me, since when did I copy the text from other website? I did copy the names of the guests, the airdate, the writers name. But that does not need copyright?? What did I copy? —Preceding unsigned comment added by JiaAn94 (talk • contribs) 06:39, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
I see you closed this as keep. I just checked the article and saw its a copyvio. I tagged it as well. Several of the users articles have been copyvio's. I'm watching what s/he is creating. Thanks, - Milk'sFavoriteCookie02:29, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
I've deleted the only one of these that wasn't deleted already - well spotted. I see the user has been warned and blocked for uploading copyvios before. I've given them a final warning, if this continues I think they may need to blocked permanently. WjBscribe11:56, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
There is still a few references that need be formatted in the article and many of the newer suggestions (last week's left on article's good article page) haven't been fixed. Formatting references is a pain, I know. Not only is it listed in the rules for good article, it was enforced on my own article that I have been working on.User:calbear22 (talk) 22:18, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
Is it possible to have every piece? Some sources don't give you that much. I think these are supposed to be good articles, not perfect articles. :O jj137(talk)23:03, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
What do you mean, my time?? It is March 12 Wikipedia time, and it was at the time I made the edit you reverted. You can even see from the edit timestamp of the edit where I reverted the deletion, for Christ's sake. Anchoress·Weigh Anchor·Catacomb01:45, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
The edits I made were constructive and now for the life of me I can not get those comments removed from my talk page. I did post valid links and my revisions (after reverting) are the current one. The former governor of Arkansas, Mike Huckabee, has withdrawn from the GOP presidential nomination race, after John McCain won enough delegates to secure the nomination.
The entire state of Arkansas was hit by a major snow storm this month, dumping more than 1 foot of snow in some areas.
How many more days is it? I can't wait! Also, that logo-ish thing that you made for yourself (and another one for Diligent Terrier), did you learn how to make it? Actually, I think I might have worded the request wrong. Could you remove the 2nd image, the one with the text on it? I was using that as an example of the desired text, I wasn't asking for it to be in the logo. And can you possible make the 1st image a little bigger, roughly the height of the text?-- Sunny910910(talk|Contributions|Guest)23:40, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for that! Looks nice, now I know how to do the other ones. But there was one thing I was wondering, is there a way to get it to show the stuff underneath? Well, yesterday, someone on the Rays charged the Yankee's catcher and broke his wrist (he is out for 8 weeks). Today in the first inning, the pitcher for the Yankees hit a Ray on the first pitch of the game (some people think Joe Geradi told him to do so). This resulted in three ejections (the pitcher and two coaches). Then, Shelly Duncan was running to second and slid spike first right into Akinori Iwomora and caused Johnny Gomes to charge all the way to second base and started the brawl. Shelly Duncan, Johnny Gomes, and another coach all got thrown out. A bit of overaction for Spring Training I think. I expect a fine and some high tensions this season... Removed prod from Hovel t moon because the creator protested its deletion
I have removed the {{prod}} tag from Hovel t moon, which you proposed for deletion. I'm leaving this message here to notify you about it. I have nominated the article for deletion instead; the debate may be found at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hovel t moon, which overrides the need for a {{prod}} tag. I have explained my reasons for doing this in my nomination. Thanks! -- Atamachat19:49, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
Reply to your reply: You're welcome, I wish I could have overlooked the creator protesting on the talk page (as an anon IP) but I couldn't in good conscience. Hopefully the AfD process will take care of it. -- Atamachat19:56, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

May I please ask you to finish your BCAD range before you run for admin? Because you sure as hell won't have time to finish it afterwards :))) If you'd like a co-nom, I'll be delighted to. I have been meaning to give you this award for a long time, and I finally remembered. Your userpage is beyond awesome. Excellent, excellent work. J.delanoygabsadds20:52, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
I really think it's better to wait - if it fails because "too soon" (or for any reason), it will be a loooong time before you will be able to succeed. And trust me, after having the tools for 10 minutes you will realize that they aren't worth any hype. jj137(talk)22:30, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
Well, obviously the final decision is yours, but you should be at least 99% sure it will succeed. (If it doesn't, things won't look too good.) jj137(talk)01:39, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
I want to nominate you for adminship.
Just letting you know, I would like to nominate you for adminship. I've bumped into you several times while on here, and I decided to check out your page. I'm frankly quite impressed with your level of contribution, and I think you make a great candidate for adminship. If you accept here I will submit the nomination page. scetoaux(talk) (My contributions.)22:25, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the offer! However, I already have a nominator, and am planning to run soon. Please feel free to vote during the day though! Thanks, - Milk'sFavoriteCookie22:33, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
I understand. I saw the conversation with you and Jj127. I was going to withdraw this because I figured because of that, it probably wasn't the best time to nominate you. But anyway, I certainly will contribute to your RFA when the time comes. I eventually want to be an administrator myself (although I don't have thousands of edits per month!) and believe that I can be a better judge of when I'm ready for that if I participate in RFA discussions myself. scetoaux(talk) (My contributions.)22:48, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
Well, today I guess I can start on a Suns newsletter. Will you be creating the new Celtics edition? Cavs made some transactions, so I guess I'll work on that too. I'll soon have to create the Bulls, also. Basketball11023:44, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
3 people still had to vote, which could have "secured" it for Eric Snow, but chances are they would've voted for Cavs. Feed this to the bot, but wait one minute so that I can go back and write that the article was chosen. Basketball11000:00, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
I think it's worthy enough to send out. Not to go against WP:Deny recognition or anything, but I would like to have some credit on the newsletter. Is there anyway of sticking my name in the fine print? Basketball11000:03, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
There is no new news for the Suns. We have different feautred articles, and a reminder to swing by the collab page. Should we still plan to send it out soon, or wait for news? Basketball11001:21, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
What do you think of the project? Also, did you know that the Heat retired a #23 for Micheal Jordan, even though he never played for them? Basketball11004:16, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Hello, and thanks for your support in my recent RFA! The final result was 61/0/3, so I've been issued the mop! I'm extremely grateful for your confidence in me and will strive to live up to it. Thanks again! —Scott5114↗[EXACT CHANGE ONLY]07:15, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Just letting you know, I unmarked the article for deletion. There was text on the page before the editor blanked it, so I reverted to that state. Happens to the best of us! :D ~Kylu (u|t) 03:46, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Apologies for the correction, I replied on my talk also[3]. I could've sworn I saw Springnuts as being the first contributor to the page... I guess I was tired! ~Kylu (u|t) 18:23, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Hi there
I see you've added the Mont Blanc FP to your list of successful FP noms but I was actually the person who nominated the succesful alternative (see here).
I'm sure you know that you hadn't nominated the successful image, but your userpage certainly seems to claim the credit.
I'm happy to assume good faith and I think you're a good contributor to FPC, but I just wanted to mention it.
--Pstuart84Talk17:05, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Cool! The bot might have to do homeschooling for me, if Diligent Terrier decides to send it out while I'm on vacation. Basketball11022:20, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
I did get some of those assessments wrong, as I thought you'd tagged all those episode articles as copyvios of answers.com, and you haven't, so I've reverted myself there. But Without a Trace (season 2) and Without a Trace (season 3) definitely are not copyvios of the URL you cited. The content may well have been on answers.com before those articles were started, but answers.com took the articles from List of Without a Trace episodes (and if you look at the top of the page here it says Wikipedia was the source. Hut 8.519:32, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
I suppose it's possible the user searched for some text to copy and accidentally found some that same from Wikipedia. Never mind, no harm done. Hut 8.519:37, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
I think I can find uses for the version that looks like my signature. Please keep it as a separate image of its own. I'm not sure what font to use for the banner - I'll have to look around and will get back to you on it. By the way, could you make the background of the current banner transparent? Also, please remove the "TM". Thank you. The Transhumanist23:32, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
I see, the problem isn't transparency, since it has to be opaque to cover up the page title. It's a matter of setting the background color of the transcluded page to the same as the talk page background color. I think I can track that down. Thank you for making the logo's background transparent. The Transhumanist08:03, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
For taking the challenge and warning 600 vandals, I, Sharkface217, hereby award you this barnstar. I hope you keep up your incredible efforts in fighting vandalism in the future, and I would be honored if you applied again to the vandalism challenge. It's good to see an editor go above and beyond the call of duty. --Sharkface21723:52, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
And of course:
The Barnstar of Diligence
For going that extra mile and taking a vandalism way too seriously (not that it's a bad thing), I hereby award you this barnstar. I hope that someday I'm able to fight as many vandals in a decade as you did in under two weeks. --Sharkface21723:52, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
I hope you again apply to the challenge, although if you do so I ask you do it as a separate entry, as I don't want to get your new round of vandal fighting confused with your old set. Again, thanks for all the time you spent keeping Wikipedia vandal-free --Sharkface21723:52, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks, that'd be great. If you could, I would like a banner with an image of a hurricane, just regular font, and using colors and text as follows; JuliancoltonTM, or something similar. Thanks, and if you need anything, just give me a shout. Juliancolton(St. Patrick's day)23:59, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Ah well, I was going to give you a barnstar for the idea, but if you don't want credit... ;) That was a good idea though, and I think it's helped me in not getting a single vandalism edit on my userpage so far. :) Juliancolton(St. Patrick's day)00:48, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
Barnstars
Ok, I think I'm done giving you all the barnstars I owe you. Feel free to move them over to your separate page if you so desire. Also, I hope you again apply for the vandalism challenge when you can find the time. --Sharkface21723:55, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Well since no one else wants to point out that its March 15 (time for your RFA) I guess I will. Please reply so I can nominate you (I want to win the race to be the first nominator :)) Good luck and I will be congratulating on March 22 after your RFA is successful. Alexfusco500:42, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
I believe that you should be bold and run your RFA with many nominations. As for our working relationship, I believe that I can testify to your significant contributions to WP:AWC and vandal fighting. --Sharkface21700:58, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
You can't get that award using articles sponsored before this challenge was put up. Furthermore, you need to sign up there before you go for the award with another 15 sponsorships. I realize the redundancy, but had to include it because some people will try to include previous AWC sponsorships to their total. So, if you wish to go for the award, sign up there (which you have done) and then sponsor 15 articles. Sorry for the confusion. --Sharkface21702:20, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
Difs please. I just checked WP:AWC and I don't see the changes. Of course, as I have been editing the awards center continuously for over an hour now, it's possible that my eyes have glazed over. --Sharkface21702:40, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
I personally don't give myself barnstars, but if you feel the need to award me for the work I would do anyway... well, that is the original intention of the barnstar system. I thank you very much for the barnstar and I'm glad to see that somebody (besides myself) reads WP:AWC. --Sharkface21703:06, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
I made an update to the image of Newton's Cradle that you nominated for Featured Picture candidacy to address some concerns brought up by opposition. I put the update on as an alternative to the original on its FPC entry. scetoaux(talk) (My contributions.)03:38, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
STOP EDITING
Since every users in wikipedia thinks I violated the copyrights. I now announced I will stop editing any page of wikipedia since March 16, 2008. I thought I should get it out of the way now instead of later.
I am not going to be as active if not inactive with editing on Wikipedia. I have other things now to keep me busy. Like a house, school, support my Red Sox =), and a girlfriend to keep me occupied. I have really enjoyed this time with you guys and value your friendship. I will still continue to check my talk page, so I'm not retiring. Of course, I'm still doing the fantasy baseball league. Feel free to ask me questions about this on my talk page.
Once again to make it clear, I WILL STILL CHECK MY TALK PAGE, SO IF YOU WANT TO TALK OR CHECK IN, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO LEAVE A MESSAGE.
That's just embarrassing... I've always wanted to have my own bot simply because, even with the sheer number of anti-vandalism bots/anti-vandalism humans we have working, Wikipedia is huge and sometimes stuff slips through the cracks. --Sharkface21721:17, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
Why don't you look into running your own bot or bot-clone? I'm sure somebody would love to give you an anti-vandalism bot. --Sharkface21722:16, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
Ah, a newsletter bot? Nice! That's good to hear. Later on, can we amend it for an AWC newsletter? I was going to program my own for that one but I haven't worked out all the kinks yet (like what content would be delivered each week/month). I would definitely trust you with a counter-vandalism bot, although I've heard that they're hard to get approved. Good luck with your quest. --Sharkface21723:38, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
It doesn't look too hard to use. I'll add AWC to that sometime later this week (need to plan on what'll be added, reported, project news, etc.). --Sharkface21701:49, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
Well, I didn't know if I added the main newsletter newsroom, or specific issues. Now that I think about it, it does seem pretty obvious. :) The Tropical cyclone's newsletter should be ready be early April, so I'll add it when it comes out.
