[edit]Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Philippe Kahn. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

Philippe Kahn
[edit]The warning messages I posted above are standard template warnings that can be found at WP:template_messages/User_talk_namespace. I posted them because you reverted Philippe Kahn's 1952 birth year to 1962 at least 7 times in the past year, with no explanation in the edit summaries nor on the article talk page, even when 1952 was properly referenced to reliable sources (and you also marked those changes as minor edits). And you ignored the messages when other editors tried to engage you in discussion here on your talk page. You also refactored and deleted the comments of other editors on the article talk page. That sort of behavior looks like disruptive editing, even if that wasn't your intention. Why do you think memo.com is a reliable source as defined by Wikipedia? You should read WP:RS and WP:V (and also WP:TPO while you're at it). There's no indication who published the material at memo.com, while the New York Times, CRN, Wired magazine, and other reliable sources all say 1952. Mojoworker (talk) 09:09, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
Recent edit to MMT
[edit]Hello. I noticed that you made an edit that introduces praise or promotional language to the MMT article. On Wikipedia, we adhere to a neutral point of view (NPOV) and avoid promotional language or puffery. Please read the NPOV policy page, as well as this page of language to avoid to better understand how to expand this article in a style suitable to an encyclopedia. If you have questions, please see the Help Desk page. Thank you! Bfpage |leave a message 13:03, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
- If you want to quote the press's positive promotional language, perhaps you could just include it in quotes with a reference. It still may not pass a review by another editor, but that's what I would try. Best Regards and Happy Editing,
- Bfpage |leave a message 20:20, 25 March 2015 (UTC)

Looking for editors to help with an Asian Pacific American edit-a-thon in Honolulu
[edit]On Oahu? Edit Wikipedia or Wikimedia sister projects? You are invited to help the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center with an Asian Pacific American edit-a-thon in Honolulu this September.
|
Aloha!
Last summer I moved to the Seattle area after 14 years in Kailua on Oahu. I immediately fell in with the Cascadia Wikimedians User Group as it formed, joined its board and became its first president as well as the GLAM representative for Washington State.
Recently, Adriel Luis, Curator (Digital & Emerging Media) at the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center, contacted me about setting up an edit-a-thon like the previous Wikipedia APA edit-a-thon. In addition to discussing one for Seattle, he wrote:
“ | It's awesome to learn about your past in Honolulu - I'm actually going to be there for another SmithsonianAPA project mid September, and thinking that this could be an opportunity to do an event there as well! I have lots of contacts with UH and the museums, but do you know of any contacts on the Wikimedia side out there? | ” |
As I was working two jobs while I lived on Oahu, I did not have the opportunity to meet your or any other Wikipedians at the time. Hence, the reason why I am contacting you now.
If you would like to help, please contact me through one of these methods:
- Email me directly at peaceray@cascadia.wiki
- Use Special:EmailUser/Peaceray to email me
- Leave a message for me on my talk page.
Mahalo,
Peaceray
