Welcome!
[edit]Hello, HopeWelsh, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Brianda and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.
I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Regarding your edits on Television in the U.S.
[edit]While your contribution is recognized and appreciated, I would suggest you find better sources for your added content, for your existing sources seem to include some self-published or non-authoritative sources, whose accuracy is not guaranteed. I suggest you use your university library (or wikipedia library if you manage to hit the requirements) and internet archive books to add more authoritative sources to your edits.
And of course, you may want to try using the source editor, which is more straightforward than the visual editor! It is based on CodeMirror, which should feel familiar if you use a Mac.

A kitten for you!
