Sources

[edit]

Please understand that we must add a reference to the reliable published source where we find the player's height.

Changing it just because you "know" it's wrong isn't good enough. If the height is wrong, and you know it's wrong because a better source has a different height which is more likely to be correct, change it and at the same time add a link to where you found the correct height.

No link, no change. Struway2 (talk) 11:20, 12 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Fine I’ll try to find one Hieutrung19 (talk) 17:52, 12 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that. Just for information, Transfermarkt isn't regarded as a reliable source on the English Wikipedia. However, Fussballdaten.de is, and also gives a height of 1.76, so I've changed Bùi Tiến Dũng (footballer, born 1995) to use that instead. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 13:57, 13 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Isabelle Belato. I noticed that in this edit to Trần Đình Kha, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Isabelle 🔔 00:30, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Struway2 has made it accurate for me. Someone seems to be put their information to that page and I deleted it, but I haven’t got a chance to fix it. Thanks for telling me anyway. Hieutrung19 (talk) 15:05, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Serols. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Nguyễn Tiến Linh, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Serols (talk) 11:16, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Djamel Belmadi, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Co-operative Bank. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:59, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Nick Pope (footballer), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 19:06, 23 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sources? That’s his basic information there. No one put sources at those parts of an Wiki page. Help yourself by reading some news. You have a good evening mate. Hieutrung19 (talk) 20:07, 23 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Listen, everything must be sourced. Even if you write London is in England, you need a source. The sources are typically at the end of a paragraph and often 1 single source or 2 encompasses the entire paragraph. Common sense is not a source, surely you could find sources for a literal club change, no? N1TH Music (talk) 06:34, 27 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. Please be aware of MOS:OVERLINK which says to not link "names of subjects with which most readers will be at least somewhat familiar", for example countries like France or cities like Paris. I have removed the links at Jules Koundé. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 20:08, 19 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Đặng Văn Lâm has 2 caps as per Transfermrkt for Cerezo Osaka, as well as the literal description on the wiki page. 204.145.108.144 (talk) 13:39, 15 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@204.145.108.144: Two things: 1. The infobox counts league appearances only. Văn Lâm made one appearance in the Emperor's Cup and the AFC Champions League each. 2. Transfermarkt is not considered a reliable source on Wikipedia. See WP:WPFLINKSNO for details. Robby.is.on (talk) 13:55, 15 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
He made his 2 appearances in the Emperor's Cup and AFC Champions League, and those 2 competitions ARE NOT DOMESTIC LEAGUE. You only put DOMESTIC LEAGUE appearances into the personal information box. It says very clearly there. Don't try to talk loud when you don't even know what you are doing, kid. Hieutrung19 (talk) 15:40, 15 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

CS1 error on Bùi Tiến Dụng

[edit]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Bùi Tiến Dụng, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "bare URL" error. References show this error when one of the URL-containing parameters cannot be paired with an associated title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 02:15, 12 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring on Gabriel Magalhães

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Gabriel Magalhães. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.Manticore 22:44, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Fixing vandalism by sockpuppet.

[edit]
Hi!
In the page Human rights in Vietnam, there is an infamous user called @Milktaco, who vandalised the article of this talk page, also wrote two sections called “Repression of Chams,” and “Ethnic Minorities” in the Human Rights in Vietnam page. It’s been there since 2014.
Evidence of Milktaco writing them:
https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Human_rights_in_Vietnam&diff=prev&oldid=612402516
https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Human_rights_in_Vietnam&diff=next&oldid=612402516
https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Human_rights_in_Vietnam&diff=next&oldid=612402612
https://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Human_rights_in_Vietnam&diff=next&oldid=624221294
I cannot access the page unfortunately; I hope you could please help by removing Milktaco’s vandalism from the Human Rights in Vietnam page. Just tag it as "Removed vandalism from sock puppet Milktaco" It's the "Repression of Chams" and "Ethnic Minorities" sections. The title “Rights of specific groups” should be removed too, because after you remove the vandalised sections, it won’t be necessary to have that pluralised title anymore.
Sorry to bother you - and thank you!
